Adoption Consultant
Sometimes referred to as "Facilitators." This term can be used to refer to anyone who helps match birthparents with adoptive parents, or who assists in the actual placement of a child with adoptive parents. The more common and specific use of this term, however, is to refer to someone who makes it his or her private business to facilitate adoptions. Adoption consultants cannot legally operate in most states, that is, if they charge or receive any compensation for their services. Although in some situations, an adoption consultant could be a licensed attorney, or a licensed adoption caseworker, the legal rights and protections that come with that licensing status could be lost if the consulting activities take place outside of the legal jurisdiction where they are actually licensed. Generally, this term will not apply to individuals like doctors, nurses and members of the clergy who may assist in adoption placements without compensation as an occasional and incidental part of providing their regular professional services.
Question: Which would be a better career choice? Choices:
-Animal adoption Agency
-Wedding Consultant
I love animals and feel so bad for all the animals with no homes. So i was think maybe i could start my own animal adoption agency.
But on the other hand i love weddings and planning parties and i like paying close attention to all the details of things. So maybe a wedding consultant.
Which pays more?
Which would you prefer?
Whats the pros and cons of each?
Which is the "better" choice?
How many years of schooling required for each?
Which would be easier to study?
Any suggestions or info would help. Thanks!
Answer: wedding consultant. my friends mom is one.

Question: Adopting children but foster mother claimed them on her taxes? My husband and I are in the processes of adopting 3 boys that were in foster care. The boys were place with us in September. We have an adoption agreement and the adoption will be final next month. We were planning on claiming all 3 boys on our tax return but their foster mother informed us that she had already claimed them. I have talked to a tax consultant and she informed us that since we have an adoption agreement through the state that we are the ones that have the right to claim them. Is this correct? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Answer: I'm pretty sure you can't claim them unless you provided 50% of their support for the year and they lived with you more than 6 months. Since the foster mother had them for at least 8 months of the year, she would be able to claim them for the year 2007.
Question: Can someone tell me about the fostering or adoption process please? Hi :)
Im asking more on behalf on my mum really.
She has been thinking of fostering for quite a while now - she has always said its something she would love to do!
She is 39 and has 4 children, im the oldest and im 19, the youngest is 4. With the youngest child (4 year old), she was quite poorly towards the end of her pregnancy and had pre and post eclampsia. She will be on medication for high bloody pressure for the rest of her life, but this doesnt affect her day - to -day. The only problem is, with the last child, she was planning more as there was such a large gap between the two youngest (12 and 4) but since all her health problems the consultant has advised her not to have anymore children. His words were ''well we might be able to get you through the pregnancy, but its definite that the baby will be premature again'' So obviously, she doesnt want to take the risk, for us, the unborn baby, or herself.
What im basically asking is...
1) Would someone like my mum be considered for fostering or adoption?
2) What is the process for fostering or adoption?
3) Could anyone share their experiences of fostering or adopting a child with me please?
My mum is an amazing mother, and we all love her to bits. We are quite a close family, probably not the most well off, but we manage just fine. We have been brought up to save for things we want. My mum shouts but she never hits us. We would just love to give a child the love and attention it deserves after having such a hard start in live (particularly for foster children) as a family. I will be moving out within the next few years but i wont be far away.
We are in the UK by the way. Thanks very much :)
Answer: 1) Would someone like my mum be considered for fostering or adoption? - Yes but the main difference is if your mum adopts then she probably wouldn't be considered for infant adoption due to her age. With fostering it's a different matter as the child could be any age and she will have a choice between short term fostering which ranges from overnight emergency fostering up to two years and long term/permancy fostering which extends till the child is 18 or at least that's the way it works in Redbridge (Essex).
2) What is the process for fostering or adoption? - For both a course, medical, CRB check, references taken up, home visits, assessment, and your mum would have to be approved by a panel. Generally for adopting it takes about 8 months to be approved and in the area I live it takes about 5 - 8 months to get approved for fostering.
3) Could anyone share their experiences of fostering or adopting a child with me please? I haven't adopted and have only just been to an information evening for fostering as we are interested in fostering any age and special needs fostering.

Answer: Hi Sunny,
Disgusting! No matter what they claim, it's not selling "situations." It's selling BABIES! Selling humans makes me sick, especially the part about different babies being sold for different prices based upon their race.
You know what else is disturbing? Those who participate in this see nothing wrong with it. They think they are doing a great thing.
I think I know the source you are citing, and their accreditation status is unknown.

Question: Can an animal shelter not give us an unfixed female dog if my current female dog is not fixed? I went to the local animal shelter to pick out a dog today to adopt. I fell inlove with this beautiful female dog. They adoption consultant told me I needed to have my entire family with me to meet the dog and approve before we can finalize the adoption ( im 20 y/o) my mother and boyfriend were with me at the time, we had my father get out of work early, and had my 17 y/o sister get out of school to meet this dog, since their is a " no holding policy" Also, my female dog, minpin, had to come and meet the dog as well. So the whole family came with us and they AMBUSHED us about my current dog. And she is not fixed. (just for the crazy people who dont believe us ) we got her 6 months ago and are waiting for her certificate to come in the mail, she has an appt to be fixed. Anyways, the animal shelter turned us down because their female dog was not fixed, along with my female dog. Is this ok? Has anyone else had this problem before? and if so could someone please give me a reason why, two female dogs cannot be together if they both are not fixed? They also know my minpin has her appt. and refused us until the surgery was all said and done. I could really use some insight on this. Thank you very much.
Im not waiting 6 months for a certificate, i just got it a few days ago. My minpin is MY dog. My family wants, a bigger family dog, so we decided to rescue one from a shelter.
its called friends of animals, only certain vets except it to be spayed. Her surgery is scheduled for March 22. They wil not hold the dog. They put her on a "priority fix" they said if they can get her in tomorrow they will let us know and we can come pick her up after the surgery.but someone could of taken her tonight. And noone is answering when i call, lol. So we will call tomorrow. But i didnt know if anyone else has run into this problem or knows their reasons why they will not give her to us.

eyes of a warrior -i understand its healthier, and i agree 100% however, if my current dog was fixed, they were going to give me their unfixed dog no problem. So either way it doesnt matter, since they were going to give me her anyways. All im asking is their reasoning why they would give me THEIR unspayed female dog, if my female dog was fixed. it doesnt make any sense
The dog i was looking at was a year and a half old, so she was plenty old enough to be spayed.
Thank you, i will be calling tomorrow, and hope all goes well :]
see suszie q, you are the reason why people are ridiculous on this site. I cant beleive i have to explain this. My dog is 5. I got her 6 months ago from a neighbor who couldnt keep her. They did not have her fixed for a specific reason. My dog is alergic to the rabies shot. She had a bad reaction and they payed thousands of dollars on an emergency for her. I do not know how she would do being put under for the surgery, as that is what they told me. So instead of calling "everyone" a liar and financially incapable, i listened. However, its gonna cost me a pretty penny to even get her her rabies this comming appt because of the things that need to be done to prevent an allergic reaction. As for being " financially incapable of taking care of my dog, is ridiculous. My dog is well taken care of, and has some issues which is why she is not fixed.
Answer: Most shelters spay/neuter there animals plain and simple. Shelters are very strict and serious when it comes to overpopulation because they have to deal with it everyday.
Just because the female dogs live together, doesn't mean an outside male dog can't come and impregnate the unfixed one, it happens all the time. Why don't you just spay the dog instead of starting a pointless argument, spayed dogs are healthier, and you have no worries.
Question: trying for a baby and no look? I am 23 years old and my husband is 26 years old, he has had sperm checks and he is fine little low in numbers but it isn't low. I have endromtrios and PCOS. Which pays some part in why I can't get pregnant. I can't stand it watching people that I love have kids and I can't it hurts me because I feel like a failure, to myself and my husband. I am the eldest of my brother and sister, and he has got his girlfriend pregnant they both drink and smoke, she still does and she is 9 wks and 2 day, they showed me the baby scan yesterday and all I wanted to do was cry because I want kids and I can't I don't drink or smoke and it aint fair, my husband dosn't drink use to smoke but he gave that up, 3 months or may be longer. I don't know what to do any more, I have been looking at sperm banks, adoption and sorragatecy. adoption I can't do till I am 25 years old and that wont be till next year 5 days after xmas. I have tried clomid and that hasn't worked, my consultant is putting me on the list for IVF but everything is a waiting game and nothing is that simple. any tips and advice will be greatfully received thanks. We have been trying now for 4 years and till no look after all that, we have had tests after tests, been told how to just keep doing the things we are doing but nothing works
Answer: Have you tried laproscopy to remove the endometris? I had this done together with ovarian drilling ( they drill holes in your ovaries) this is suppose to rectify the hormone imbalance . it has helped me and i have had regular 28 day cycles ever since. google ovarian drilling i think this might be for you. Please also understand that everything takes time, we all need to be patient, its hard i know... i went through the same with my sister inlaw. it was horrible i cried so much and also felt like a failure. im 27 been trying for 2years. please dont give up hope all women are meant to mothers and feel that love for their own child. all the best to you
Question: Why Vasectomy Is For Me? I need every possible reason and PRO that would allow a consultant to give me the OK to proceed with this procedure. I'm 22 and I have one kid. I never want kids again due to the nature of my ex is screwing me over in everyway possible. I never thought a woman I loved so much would do that to me. I'm never allowing this to happen so I want ideas how I could get this done with supporting other alternative things.
My big one I have so far how I feel adoption is the best way, and that the world is over populated. MORE IDEAS PLEASE!!
Answer: I was 21, and had no children at all when I had mine. You don't need any excuse for the consultant at all. You will not have any problem finding a doctor to do it. You are paying money, doctors want money. That is how I got mine. Hundreds of thousands of men get vasectomies in their 20's.
If you must, just tell them you have four children.
If the consultant says no, then go to the next clinic in the phone book.
Question: Huh? Do you get this? A nine-year-old Singaporean student, who did not realise she was pregnant, gave birth to a boy after it became too late for her to abort the baby.
Her horrified mother found out that her daughter was six-month pregnant when she took her to a doctor for what she thought was a urine infection.
By that time, it was too late for the girl to go for abortion.
The shocking case was made public at a seminar on youth relationships organised by Tamil cultural group Narpani Peravi and Republic Polytechnic last Saturday and was reported in Tamil Murasu on Sunday.
The primary three student, who comes from a well-to-do family and lives in a private landed property, was made pregnant by her boyfriend from the same school back in 2004. She gave her baby boy up for adoption soon after giving birth. The child would be about three years old now.
The girl was sent by her parents to a school in a nearby country, where she is currently in Primary Six. The boy was sent to a Reformative Training Centre soon after.
According to The New Paper, the girl met her boyfriend in school and they had sex frequently in her home. All these time, her parents never suspected anything as they were out and working most of the time.
And when she started gaining weight and had morning sickness, she didn't suspect that she was pregnant. Neither did her teachers and friends, as the girl always tucked blouse out so no one in school could tell if she was pregnant..
An early developer, she was about 1.3 metres tall and quite big-size for a girl her age. She reached puberty early and started menstruating when she was eight.
A gynaecologist and an urologist told The New Paper that it is very unusual for a nine-year-old to give birth.
Gynaecologist Ann Tan, who has 15 years experience, said she has never heard or seen any girl below 14 getting pregnant.
"This is very frightening," said Dr Tan, when told of the case.
She said that girls reach puberty around 11 on average.
Consultant urologist Damian Png, who has more than 10 years of experience, said boys usually reach puberty between 11 and 13.
Once a boy reaches puberty, he will be able to produce sperm, and in so doing will be capable of impregnating a girl. He, however, notes that the average age of puberty has gone down.
The youngest mother ever on record is Lina Medina from Peru. She was only five when she gave birth to a boy in May 1939. It was reported that she had her first period when she was only eight months old.
Her son, named Gerardo, died from a bone marrow disease when he was 40 in 1979.
Answer: ok that's weird i'm 9 too but I havn't had a baby yet is that bad? LOL
Question: Can we thank Al Gore for creating the worlds largest tax, that we will pay the majority to the UN? U.S. reversal under pressure leads to climate deal
"If for some reason you are not willing to lead, leave it to the rest of us," Kevin Conrad, the negotiator from Papua New Guinea, told the U.S. delegation in the wee hours of Saturday morning. "Please, get out of the way." Minutes later, the Americans agreed.

Global Carbon Tax Urged at UN Climate Conference
BALI, Indonesia – A global tax on carbon dioxide emissions was urged to help save the Earth from catastrophic man-made global warming at the United Nations climate conference. A panel of UN participants on Thursday urged the adoption of a tax that would represent “a global burden sharing system, fair, with solidarity, and legally binding to all nations.”
“Finally someone will pay for these [climate related] costs,” Othmar Schwank, a global tax advocate, told Inhofe EPW Press Blog following the panel discussion titled “A Global CO2 Tax.” Schwank is a consultant with the Switzerland based Mauch Consulting firm
Schwank said at least “$10-$40 billion dollars per year” could be generated by the tax, and wealthy nations like the U.S. would bear the biggest burden based on the “polluters pay principle.”
The U.S. and other wealthy nations need to “contribute significantly more to this global fund,” Schwank explained.

Question: Petrified it is going to happen again? did not know what catogry to put this in
our unborn baby had the most severest form of spina bifida and hydrocephalus , if she had reaches full term (which was is nearly impossible), she will have had a 15% chance of survival, she would have never walk, talk might not even recognise us, she will be in constant agony. the news at the consultants was bad, our daughters fluid on her brain is extreme and the case is one of the worst the doctors has seen in 18months. (the doctors cant possibly be wrong in this case, we made the heartbreaking choice to terminate/induce the pregnancy, she was boen sleeping on the 19th feb
me and my husband were talking today about trying again, which we hope to in about 2 months and i realised that im petrified of it happening again, im sorry but i cant go through that again, i want another child of course i do but the thought of this happening to another one of my babies makes me feel so scared, i don't know maybe im not ready, do you think this is normal
adoption is not an option
Answer: ive got you on my contacts and ive been following your posts . I hope u feel a little better as each day passes xx
of course its normal hun but thats really the risk every mother takes whether shes been through this or not ... at the end of the day all u can do is take precautions like prenatal vitamins starting now ... this is probably the only thing that will help in the area of spinal bifida... other then that hun im sure u will have your healthy baby boy or girl shortly just try to stay positive and relax xx
r.i.p elsie xx may you watch over your parents and brothers (im sure she is) ;-)
