Answer: I'm not sure about Ohio however in most states he has to be served either in person or through registered mail that he must sign for. If he's military then through his command. If he abandoned you, then your lawyer would file through the last known address you had on him and through the news paper. After which time it is shown that reasonable attempt has been made for service, the Judge will usually award the dissolution and whatever terms had been requested. Unfortunately in most cases you have to give the partner a chance to respond for a dissolution. I would check with a local legal service like legal clinic, most of them can be found in the yellow pages and with give an initial consultation free.

Answer: There is no waiting period in CA so as soon as your divorce is final you can get married the next day if you want. My husband discovered that his divorce from his first wife wasn't final 2 months before our wedding was supposed to happen. I just about died thinking we weren't going to be able to get our marriage license and get married but they we're able to re-file the paperwork and they we're "officially" divorced about 10 days before our wedding happened. We got our marriage license the very next day and got married as scheduled. I thought I was going to have a heart attack but since there is no waiting period in CA you can marry as soon as your divorce is final.

Answer: Hydrogen bonding does aid in the dissolution of polar molecules in water. As the "rule" states, "like dissolves like" meaning that a polar molecular will dissolve other polar molecules. To take the explanation a bit further, the water molecules have a dipole moment (slightly negative charge on the oxygen while slightly positive charge on the hydrogens) which will "bond" with the oppositely charged molecular ions being dissolved in the solution. For example, NaCl will separate into Na+ and Cl-, where the oxygen of water will orientate towards the Na+ and the hydrogens towards the Cl-. This is a favorable physical change (as the compounds have not undergone any sort of chemical change, i.e. change of charge) due to the entropy principle (yes, the molecules are organized with the water but separated from each other).
