Health Insurance
This is the amount that one or both of the parties pays in health insurance premiums for the child(ren). Usually it is the difference between the total monthly premium payment for a family and the total monthly premium for a single person.
Question: Any Thoughts On What Pres Obama Told Dems Earlier Today? Do you agree with the president that the notion that Republicans are suddenly worried about their democratic friends is, well, laughable? Here is an except of his comments.
“I notice that there has been a lot of friendly advice offered all across town,” he said. “Mitch McConnell, John Boehner, Karl Rove — they are all warning you of the horrendous impact if you support this legislation.”
He continued, “Now, it could be that they are suddenly having a change of heart, and they are deeply concerned about their democratic friends. They are giving you the best possible advice in order to ensure that Nancy Pelosi remains speaker and Harry Reid remains leader and all of you keep your seats — that’s a possibility.”
Mr. Obama chuckled at himself, and lawmakers in the audience laughed.
“But it may also be possible that they realize that after health reform passes and I sign that legislation into law, it’s going to be a little harder to mischaracterize what this legislation has been all about,” he said.
To big applause, Mr. Obama noted that it would give small businesses tax credits to help provide insurance to employees, that parents whose children have pre-existing medical conditions would be able to get coverage, that insurance companies would be barred from revoking policies through “recissions” even though premiums have been paid.
Of the Republicans, he continued, “Maybe they know that this year for the first time, young people will be able to stay on their parent’s health insurance until they are 26 years old, and they are thinking that that just might be popular all across the country.”
Excuse me Elsie, but just what post are you reading? I do not see one thing, either in my comment, nor the president's, than can fairly be called as mean spirited. Would you kindly point out to the rest of us exactly what you are referring to.
Jode, please....how about having all of those caring Christians on the right do some soul searching, and request that they do exactly what Jesus would do, nothing more, nothing less.
Answer: The facts on the reforms are simple. And the sad thing is that many Americans are not aware of how these reforms will help America thanks to the lies, smears and half truths spread by the right.
FACT - Insurance companies in the USA admit to pushing up prices, buying politicians and not paying out claims when they should [1]
FACT - PER PERSON the USA spends more on healthcare than any other nation on the planet [2]
FACT - Obama debated his plans before the election for healthcare [3]
FACT - the chance of a child under five of dying in the USA is greater than industrialised nations with universal health coverage [4]
FACT - Obama was elected to bring in change [5]
FACT - Obama wants to stop insurance companies from screwing America [6]
FACT - The reforms Obama wants work in the Netherlands and Switzerland [7]
Let me know if my facts are wrong, but please provide proof.
Question: Are these all the Obama campaign promises? Or am I missing some, these are just from the infomercial.

And according to Michelle he will always have time for his girls.
Oh and all the poor families that he could give a crap less about were a nice touch too.
So tell me democrats. How is Obama going to achieve this, and if you say ending the war in Iraq don't count on that happening anytime soon. Just admit there is no possible way under the sun one man can get all of this done in 10 years, much less 4. It is not possible. He is making false promises to win this election and you are buying it, it is really sad! Oh and my daughter is reading even more promises off of the Obama website now. Sorry folks, but this is getting ridiculous. Any body buying into this is seriously lacking in judgment or just very gullible.
McCain is not promising the world with a cherry on top.
Answer: You forgot this. Check out his bill CS.2433 ?Introduced in the Senate by Obama, Hagel, and Cantwell. A Bill to Fight Global Poverty. This costly dangerous bill is also known as the Global Poverty Act. This turkey is already trying to spend our money BEFORE BECOMING PRES, on the bottomless pit known as Africa. It will send .07 % of gross gdp to African welfare, about $845 billion ! Are Obama’s far left liberal’s asleep at the wheel? Hey, guess where that $$ comes from-YOUR PAYCHEKS........! WAKE UP!
If Obama wins, within 1 year we will see the largest stock market crash in history and millions will be Laid Off. Within four years North America will be as poor and bloody as North Africa.
According to The Book of Revelation, the anti-Christ will be a man, in his 40's, of MUSLIM descent, who will deceive the nations with persuasive language and have a MASSIVE Christ-like appeal....the prophecy says that people will flock to him and he will promise false hope and world peace, and when he is in power, will destroy everything.
Could it be OBAMA?? What if it is and we give the anti-Christ our support!! Could voting for him be the same as taking his mark? Should we take a chance on this unknown candidate who came out of nowhere. May God have mercy on us all!!
Question: An actual question on Obama's health care reform plan? Let me tell a little about my family and I: I am married with 2 kids living in CA. I work 1 full time job that offers health insurance for $875 a month for my entire family and 1 part time job that does not offer health insurance. I work for a small business, they do not finance any part of health insurance coverage for their employees, it all comes out of our pockets. I only make $3200 a month, but I work hard and am obviously not a freeloader. My oldest child (2 years old) has a serious birth defect that is causing kidney issues so she is now in stage 1 renal failure. My youngest child is healthy as a horse. We did not find out about my daughters birth defect until my youngest was 6 weeks old. My wife does not work because regular daycares will not accept my daughter, we have to enroll her in a "special daycare" with nurses that cost about $1500 a month.
I can not afford health care through my job and be able to pay my bills like rent, food, utilities, ect.. (way too expensive) so I have no health care through my job.
I make too much for state programs like medi-cal, food stamps or any goverment assisted programs. We do not qualify.
Private health insurance will accept my daughter (for about the same cost as my job, she is considered a "risk") but they will not cover any "pre-existing conditions" so they will not cover any expenses related to her birth defect or kidneys.
I am now $9,600 in medical debt. I have no other debt. These are the facts of my life.
My question: With so many people who are hard workers like me, why are they so against a universal healthcare program? I read so many questions with people saying things like, "they don't want to support all the lazy bums" and so on. But I'm not lazy, I work hard. Maybe the goverment can come up with a universal health care program that only covers children? I don't know what to think, all I know is what I am going through.
I should mention that I am not "un-educated" I am in college right now working my way for a biological science degree.
Thank you Jusme - but I live in CA.
Answer: The only people happy with health care today are those who have insurance and no major medical problems. Some of them criticize others to make them feel better about themselves.
The truth is that 53% of Americans are not satisfied with our current health care system, but the 47% who are make more noise.
Question: Honest nonpartisan question on healthcare reform...? I know that there are several bills out there on healthcare, all of which have good points and bad points (from what I hear). I'm more of a foreign policy buff, but I figured I would start inching my way into the debate here. I downloaded and have been reading HR 3200, which is the bill that Fox News is out to kill (for whatever reason). So when I started reading it, I thought I would find some offensive stuff (I'm more of a financial conservative), but I have found nothing yet (it's like 1,000 pages, so I haven't read the whole thing yet) that has offended me or made me think for one minute that I wouldn't like the reforms brought about by this bill. Some key points I found in the bill itself (these are my notes):
* Protects rights to keep currently held health insurance policies
* Cannot discriminate based on pre-existing conditions
* Limits the allowed methods of varying premiums
* Prohibits discrimination in benefits
* Requires parity in mental health and substance abuse disorder benefits
* Ensures adequacy of provider networks
* Mandates minimum coverage that includes hospitalization, outpatient hospital and clinic services (including ER visits), private practitioner services (regular doctor visits), supplies necessary for treatment, prescription drugs, rehab, mental health and substance abuse disorder services, preventive services, maternity care, well baby and well child care (oral, health, vision, and hearing services, equipment, and supplies for children under the age of 21)
* Requires fair marketing practices by health insurers (uniform marketing standards)
* Requires fair grievance and appeals mechanisms
* Requires information transparency and accurate, timely plan disclosure using plain language
* Mandates timely payment of claims by insurance companies
* Creates a Health Insurance Exchange with Public Health Insurance option
* Prohibits discrimination in healthcare not offered through exchange
* Offers protections to whistleblowers
* In order to ensure value and lower premiums, all group and individual coverage must meet a specified medical loss ratio
* Ends health insurance rescission abuse, which prevents companies from abusing protections created to prevent fraud (companies unreasonably end coverage based on these protections)
* Creates the opportunity for independent, external, third-party review in cases of rescission
* Creates reinsurance program for retirees
* Mandates affordability premium credits for individuals
* “No federal payment for undocumented aliens.”
* Notes that it is an individual’s responsibility to obtain healthcare
* Outlines employer responsibilities should an employee choose to offer health insurance to its employees
These are just a few of the more important points I have found thus far. From the figures I've heard, our government wastes more than $4 trillion on healthcare each year anyway, and that pretty much ANY new program would be less expensive (though a cost-neutral plan would be preferred to save taxpayer dollars). From what I've seen, any NEW bill would be better than the system we have now (though I don't think I would support universal healthcare and drastic changes to the health delivery system). Please give me YOUR OPINIONS on this issue, and please do not recite Fox News, MSNBC, or any other partisan hacks. If I want their opinions I could waste my time by watching their shows.
Sorry about the wall of text, lol.
hotnwell... Will definitely put something up if I find the death panels! lol
ObamaCar... if you didn't notice the quotes... that is a direct quote from the bill... that's how i can say that.
I see and hear everyday talk about death panels, socialized medicine, etc. attacks against Obama. The bill Obama supports and all the bills I've seen so far are not Universal Healthcare, so what is the socialization argument based on? It is sad that these scare tactics DO work on the American people, and it is even worse that you can easily view the bills yourself but everyone is too lazy.
Answer: You are wong about the cost. The US spends 2.2 trillion dollars a year on health care (16% of GDP) and federal sate and local governments combined pays for nearly half. or about 1 trillion. However they collect about 4 trillion in taxes so it is about 1/4 of all the money they spend. Without a public option it will not cut cost which is the real problem, it is just insurance reform that will shift cost but not reduce them. If they can not get a public option through Congress I would prefer it fails and try again later. with something less complicated. that people understand.
Question: What political leaning am I? I have some left and right views? Im confused because I agree with both parties and wonder alot which I would be closer too?
I believe in some government regulations such as for a clean water supply and for some environmental concerns and safety. I dont see how we couldnt regulate some food safety and other human products? Does that make me a liberal?
I believe in capital punishment and extremely, extremely strong punishments to killers, child molestors, kidnappers and other sickos. A 10 year old killer should be tried as an adult in my opinion.
Pre-emptive strikes are SOMETIMES necessary to prevent war. Look at how appeasement worked for Neville Chamberlain. Thats right, it didnt! We need to destroy threats before they become stronger sometimes which is why I am for unilateral action
I am 100% against abortion. Pro-choice should mean giving that child the choice to live and carry their life. Abortion is sick!
I believe in strong public transit in cities and some policies to combat suburban sprawl, but at the same time think sprawl is a liberal problem caused by single use zoning regulations, tax subsidies and other government regulations
Strong defense and military is key and there should be heavy investment in new research like a missile shield.
I believe in charter schools, private schools and encouraging these.
Low taxes are key. They spurn investment, however oil companies should be taxed as they are producing a special type of good.
I am for nuclear power and an all of the above approach. We should drill offshore and in ANWR.
I support the creation of plenty more large national parks and saving large tracts of wildlife land.
I am for civil unions, not sure about gay marriage
There should be stronger regulation of nudity, violence, swearing and pornography should be banned.
Stupid government ideas like cat licensing and other bureucratic nonsense that are cash grabs should be eliminated. Animal abusers should recieve equal jailtime as those who commit crimes on humans. They are sick and should suffer in our justice system.
I believe healthcare reform is needed, such as people with pre existing conditions should not be denied coverage and companies shouldn't be able to drop your coverage, but do not think it should be a requirement that you have health insurance and you should not be fined if you do not. That is your own irresponsible choice to make.
Welfare should be curbed to a lot of single moms and other people who chose decisions that made them poor as they are using the system and cheating it
Answer: I don't see much "left" in there. I'd say you are a typical Republican.
Question: My dad is wanting to divorce my mother, I think, anything I should do? I honestly don't give much a damn, I'll start by listing off why I'd support it, and why I wouldn't, and ask for maybe some commentary on what to do.
Pros:
Mother is mean, cruel, and hateful. Very Gruff and careless, I've threatened suicide after constant abuse some nights, and she only told me I should go ahead and kill myself and that she wouldn't care. Possibly Bi-Polar disorder, but does not exhibit the diagnosable traits, simply happy one minute, mean the next over any slight thing. Father is the opposite, Nice, caring, and has a heart, cares about me and my life, though isn't assertive at all around my mother.
Mother refuses to go to my recently deceased grandfathers funeral. Didn't go to the previous funerals of my dad's side great aunt/ wedlock great uncle's funeral. Even refused to go to own parents funeral, paranoid of any contact with any relatives or old friends, reclusive.
Belittling me has ruined me, I let things build inside me, and I have enough hatred of life and everything and everyone because of her that I am miserable, "FUBAR" if one might say. Anyone whom isn't her who disrespects me in any way is usually met with anger, disgust, or some other rage, a trait I do not at all want because I once was incredibly loving.
Persued the thought of becoming homosexual in order to avoid such an evil spouse engulfed in hatred, thought was a failure as I hold no attraction to males, thus resulting in INCREDIBLY selective choices among women I tend to like and date.
My dad may be happy afterwards.
Cons:
Mother takes care of the house.
When good, mother is good.
She had a bad Childhood.
Financially, a Divorce would hinder my progress towards college in which I Aspire to become a Psychiatrist, would also cause the selling of our 40 acre farm and house, land totaling in a sell of at total minimum of at least 400,000 for fertility, location, and pre-existing farm structures. Add in farm equipment.
I will no longer be able to claim that I am an only child of a married couple.
I would be devastated by such changes.
So...
I really figure I don't know what to do, and I look at the subject of my father divorcing my mother with Apathy, or possibly a balance between like and dislike of the idea. Anyone got any suggestions?
She is 51 right now, my father 54.
Grandparents on my mothers side lived to be 67 at each death, seperate years of course.
Grandparents on my fathers side; Grandfather lived to be in 90's, Grandmother is going strong at late 80's, though sister died of Stomach cancer, in her 90's.
Craig- If it helps you understand how exactly she is, your book suggestion wouldn't at all work... I've spent 16 LONG years of my life with her.
Answer: Pick a side and stick to it. I know that sounds horrible but to offer emotional support to both will create a sense of betrayal in both. Understand that divorce destroys the family. Not just the breaking up of people but destroys them financially and psychologically. You are going to hate even more than you do now. Just offer support to one side and you may come out of this with only a few emotional bumps and bruises.
Now if you HAVE to try to fix this marriage then you need to take an opposite approach. Decide who is the one creating the strife (like duh we haven't figured that one out already) and tell them that if a divorce is eminent then YOU will not only take the others side but be a warrior for their cause! Tell them they will get nothing after the smoke clears and then continue the threat to say that their attitude had better make a 180 or you will start campaigning for the divorce.
Question: When will we see the 10 Noahide Laws implemented and forced upon all the world including the USA ? Our most pressing task, to put it simply, is to launch an international Noachide revolution without delay. The process has already begun, with dozens of tiny Noachide communities having appeared throughout the United States, generally composed of former Christians who have abandoned that religion. The task of organizing the revolution can be divided into two broad stages:
I) We must first create a new Noachide society as an international network of communities and organizations functioning inside, but separately from, the surrounding society (based on halachic requirements and directives, Noachide institutions function quite differently from their Christian and secular counterparts).
This starts with an aggressive outreach program, by Jews and Noachides alike, to teach gentiles about their responsibilities according to Torah.
Simultaneously, we must organize functioning programs and institutions that are prepared to absorb these vast numbers of ex-Christians and immediately involve them in efforts to bring Moshiach. The Noachide communities require schools for their children, modeled after the Jewish yeshiva programs; Torah study groups geared for their specific needs; coordinated celebrations of appropriate Torah holidays; family services for marriage, support for the elderly, and burial; courts of justice, led by rabbinically trained righteous judges, which will function similarly to Jewish batei dinim; and tzedaka programs to assist the needy, to build new Noachide schools, and to support Jewish settlements in Israel and synagogues throughout the diaspora.
2) In the second stage, the growing Noachide movement will seize political power—using only peaceful, lawful means—in the capitals of the Western nations. This, of course, will not take place until the Noachide society has grown to some threshold size. We do not know how large this needs to be nor which nations will join the revolution first, although the United States, as a fairly religious, conservative nation, certainly tops the list of prospects.
Upon seizing the reins of government, the new Noachide leaders will move quickly to implement a full agenda of reform. All economic and technological aid to the Communist Bloc, including the PLO, will be terminated immediately. Full support will be given to Israeli forces to reinvade PLO-controlled areas, with military assistance offered where necessary. Jewish courts (the batei dini of the rabbis) will be granted full legal sovereignty over Jewish citizens within each country, who will no longer be subject to the authority of gentile courts. The pre-existing Noachide judges and courts will replace the existing court system of each country, and the legal code will be drastically rewritten to conform to halacha; in the United States, the emphasis will be on restoring the authority of the Constitution and abolishing all unconstitutional government programs and agencies. The national debt will be foreclosed, probably by paying off creditors with government land holdings, thus averting economic disaster. And law and order will be fully restored through the establishment of internal security measures, again in accordance with Torah law.
Almost as soon as aid to the Communist Bloc stops, the international Communist revolution will plunge headlong into crisis. The captive peoples, seeing their liberation at hand, will genuinely rise up to throw their brutal dictators out of power, and the armies of Gog and Magog—ranging from the Soviet Communists to the PLO—will self-destruct before the eyes of the entire world.
Naturally, Amalek's agents will scream hysterically to intimidate Jews from carrying out the above campaign, hoping to delay this victory. They have no power, however, to prevent our successful action; they can only try to create doubts and hesitation.
As the world plunges headlong toward the imminent revelation of Moshiach while the last walls of the exile disintegrate, the number of confused gentiles ready to change is rising exponentially. If the Jewish people immediately begin preparing adequate structures for the Noachide movement, this tide will be channeled directly into a glorious revelation of Truth. But if we allow ourselves to be caught unprepared, this same overwhelming force for social change can, G-d forbid, be diverted to empower Amalek's final assault on holiness. It is not a matter of whether gentile society will explode in the face of the growing crisis; this event is an inevitable, and fast-approaching, reality. We do not want to miss this incredible opportunity to provide light in the final moments of darkness.
The world has reached its ultimate point of decision, and the power to succeed belongs entirely to the Jewish people. We can wait until Moshiach comes on his own, following a world war, or we can bring him through our own actions, as the Lubavitcher Rebbe has stated is our mission. The choice is ours.
There is not a minute to waste. Jews everywhere, unite!

Answer: Some nutcase who isn't even Jewish write that- the Noahide movement is one of non-Jews who think Jews are correct- but prefer to be righteous under the SEVEN (yep SEVEN Noahide laws- not 10) instead of converting to Judaism.
Question: Christians, Mormons, Jehovahs, Christian Science - who's the heretic? Virtually all non-Christian cults reduce Jesus Christ to a mere created being. Christian Science teaches Jesus was just a man that merely had attained a "Christ mind," hence Jesus was not the Christ who was to come, the Savior of the world. Jehovah's Witnesses teach that Jesus is Michael the archangel, "a god" with a little "g" the first of Jehovah's creations. Mormons teach that Jesus is Satan's literal brother- a created spirit child. In Mormon theology, we all pre-existed in Heaven, procreated by the God the Father and one of His wives.
Christian's believe that Lucifer is a created being and Jesus, as part of the Trinity, is God who created angels. God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are one. God is not a creation, He is the Creator.
We can't all be right. One is right. Which is heresy? Please support your answers with scripture documentation, I want truth - not truth with a twist. Truth with a twist is the definition of heresy.
Debbie2 thank you, but I would appreciate knowing the scripture that supports your theory please?
Uncarved, I don't understand in what way I've been mislead? Perhaps you misread my question?
Thrice Blessed, thank you for your help and for not being afriad to back up your belief with proof from the scriptures of your faith.
Answer: Jesus is God, God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are one. God is not a creation, He is the Creator.
Look at these verses from John 1
I put a star (*) by the ones I wanted to highlight most.
John 1 (King James Version)
King James Version (KJV)
Public Domain
John 1
* 1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2The same was in the beginning with God.
*3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
6There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
*10He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
*14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Question: Why the 2 extremes in views of divorce on children? Most views I've seen either a)Show a bunch of negative outcome statistics(dropout rates, crime, teen pregnancy, mental health odds ratios, etc.) that imply that the divorce caused all of this and that without pre-existing problems none of this would have happened or b)Emphasize that children are resilient, 80% of the kids do not have clinical mental health problems and act like after a few months they'll be just as happy as they were before the divorce, parents will be a happy co-parenting team, the divorce will end the conflict between parents who still have to share custody, and if they enter a new family it will be just like the Brady Bunch?
Isn't the truth in the middle? As in children may be resilient, but there will still be permanent pain and resentment, even though divorce usually was the best choice? That their relationships with their parents are less resilient after years of both being their pawn and of playing them off against each other? Why would would-be divorcers fantacize that the ex will vanish from the kids' lives (but be fully cooperative in paying support) and the kids will be happier and better off for it? Especially if said spouse immediately goes for whoever they were sleeping with during the marriage....
Any opinions?
Yeah... I know an insecure macho man who's coparenting with his bipolar alcoholic ex-wife. What can I say but drama drama drama drama! The girl is 17 and this has been going on since she was 2 years old. Moral of the story: Don't reproduce with anyone you wouldn't want to be the parent of your child.....
Answer: The big factor in children surviving divorce is that both parents are on the same page. Showing there kids there are still loved. Being there for them. Listening to there concerns. Not speaking ill of the other parent in front of them. It take effort and isn't easy at times but it's important for the child.

Question: How come health insurance companies are allowed to discriminate against people with disabilities? How is it legal for health insurance companies to discriminate against people with disabilities (I mean, medical disabilities), but other companies are not allowed to, like grocery stores are not allowed to? Or maybe it IS legal for other businesses to discriminate against people I am really just curious, that's all. About the legal process. Health insurance companies kind of make me mad, because of this issue. I know I am expressing a political opinion, but I ask you not to troll. If you have a different opinnion thatn me, you can argue for it, but please don't start trollin.'
Answer: You mean in writing policies? That's one of the reasons we need health care reform, the insurance companies exclude people with pre-existing conditions. Which kind of ruins the whole concept of insurance, which is based on pooled risk.
Question: What is the best health insurance and life insurance policies to go with? What is the best health insurance and life insurance policies to go with?
I am recently out of the military and need to purchase an individual health ins policy. However, I am not sure which ones are the best. I am a student, do they offer any good student policies? Also, is the SGLI to VGLI conversion a good change to make? If not, which is better term or whole life insurance policies?

Question: Is there a good health insurance for college students? I am a sophomore in college and have not had health or dental insurance since I was a little girl. I can't be on my mom's insurance cause the price will sky rocket. I have a part time job so I don't get health benefits at work. Is there some type of health insurance that has good coverage but also doesn't cost too much since I don't make too much?
Answer: In some states, there is no "health insurance that ... doesn't cost too much", period. In some states, all health insurance, for everyone, costs "too much".
In other states, there is health insurance for someone your age that does not cost too much. However, it is not specifically for college students; it is for anyone your age who lives there and meets the medical criteria, whether or not they are a college student.
Finally, some, but not all, colleges offer their own insurance, which may or may not "cost too much", depending on what that particular college offers.
There is good health insurance for college students who attend colleges with good health insurance or live in states with good health insurance. There is not good health insurance for college students who attend colleges without good health insurance and live in states without good health insurance.
Try asking this again with the name of the state where you live, the name of the college, and your age.
Question: How does health insurance portability work? I lost my job in December and lost health insurance. In August I will be able to get health insurance through a program at a state college I wil be attending. Is this too long of a lapse to cover pre-existing conditions? PA BTW.
Answer: The magic number, is 63 days, and that only counts when you go from one group policy to another.
So yes, preexisting conditions can be excluded once you get on this program through school.
Question: What is the difference between Health Insurance and Health care Program? Is it OK to have just the health care program and not have the Health Insurance Plan? I can get Health care program for half the monthly premium as compared to the Health Insurance Plan. Please advise? Is it advisable?
Answer: Health insurance is the one that pays for your medical expenses should you incur one. While health care program is designed for the continuity better living despite health disability.. Long Term Health Care Program is best be planned ahead.
If you find it suitable for you, then it's fine. Otherwise, seek for a medical/legal health expert for a better advise.
Question: If someone has two health insurance coverage, how does coordination of benefits work? My friend was in an auto accident, and the health insurance from the auto insurer is her primary health insurance for the accident. She also has regular health insurance from another company. If the auto insurer pays 80% of her auto accident medical costs, and her secondary insurance normally pays 70% of her medical costs, then how would the secondary insurance treat a $1000 bill, for example? The auto insurer pays $800 of the $1000 bill (80%), but how much would the secondary health insurer pay?

Auto insurance covers medical costs from an accident when auto insurance is selected as the primary health insurance for an accident. She therefore has two health insurance coverages in terms of her auto injuries only.
Answer: Health Ins will always pay their allowed amount they have for that service after deductables and copays are met. Your secondary ins works the same way.but should pick up the remainder of the bill if your ded and copay are met with them. Always look at the allowed amount for that service if the Physician is not in their network then it was your choice not to go to a provider in the insurance network and therefore the provider can collect from you the uncovered amount if they informed you that they were not a provider for that insurance company prior to your appointment. What ever their car insrance worked out with your company with your consent is how the bill should be paid.
Question: How does health insurance work - when insurance premium can generally increase? If family of two have health insurance, and one of them decide to use it for couple medical procedures will insurance policy premium go up?
Please advice.
Thanks.
Answer: No. The premiums will not go up for that. Usually health insurance is up for renewal once a year and the cost increases at that time, but not just because you use your policy. The cost of group health insurance where I work has had double digit increases in the premiums every year for 10 years now. The health insurance companies are out of control.

Question: I have private health insurance and insurance from work? I have private health insurance from blue cross blue shield, I also get blue cross blue-shield from the work I do for the state. If I was to use the insurance from my work would it be a conflict with the insurance I privately have? I was told that they would cancel each other out and I would lose my private insurance. Is this true??? I don't really want to lose my private insurance for health and security reasons but I also don't want to keep paying more if i don't have to in the long run.
Answer: In most cases, you are paying too much for your coverage. You generally are best off just getting the bcbs plan from your employer. However, they can work together in some instances. If one is used as primary and then the other can pick up the co-pays at the doctor's office and other things. I know one person who has a situation like this. However, this person has coverage from their own employer and their spouse's employer. Their plan pays as primary, the other picks up everything except the annual deductible. Since the plans are written differently from each other, if they used the spouse's plan as primary, then their own plan would pick up nothing as secondary. Since both plans are through the employers and that person has a lot of medical expenses, it saves money to have both plans on that one person. Since the spouse has few medical expenses, they only have one plan on that spouse. In most cases, your private medical insurance is going to cost you more to carry than the out-of-pocket maximum on the plan with the employer. In most cases, you would do well to carry only one plan.
Question: What affordable health insurance would you recommend for my uninsured 21 year old daughter? She works full time but her employer charges an outrageous amount of money for health insurance. I know there are many many young people who don't have health insurance, mostly because of the cost of high insurance premiums. But my daughter really needs it cause she has some health issues that will stay with her for a lifetime.
thanks everyone!
