Assignment Of Support Rights
The legal procedure by which a person receiving public assistance agrees to turn over to the State or Tribe any right to child support, including arrearages, paid by the noncustodial parent in exchange for receipt of a cash assistance grant and other benefits. States and Tribes can then use a portion of said child support to defray or recoup the public assistance expenditure.

Question: School Assignment, Same Sex Marriage? Hey everyone, I'm asking this on behalf of my friend for their high school religion class assignment.
They've chosen to support the rights of same sex couples in the context of marriage and asked me if I knew where they could get some good information... and wouldn't you know, I'm at a loss!
Any resources would be helpful, general information, religious support of same sex rights, and anything specific to Canada or the Catholic faith would be most helpful. If anyone knows of any case studies or news articles too... that would be very helpful.
Thanks in advance for helping bring tolerance and understanding into a classroom environment where the majority of the students are unaware that there are even gay or lesbian students in their own school.
Answer: Hi there,
In the interests of full disclosure, I don't support Same Sex Marriage, so I'm passing along information I've heard of that supports what you're looking for, I'm not endorsing such information or anything like that.
The United Church of Canada as well as the United Church of the United States a couple of years ago issued an official endorsement of same sex marriage, and encouraged same sex couples to attend their church. As well, some Catholic communities in London, England supported it, but were shut down by the Vatican City. I can't find any links but I also didn't look too hard as I'm on my way out the door. I didn't answer your question, but hopefully it will give you a better starting point for research!
Question: Help on a homework assignment please? Ok im doing a worksheet on an organization called "Stonewall". I looked it up and found out its a organization that supports gay rights. The question Im having trouble with is, What is the significance of the name "Stonewall"? If i was a guessing man i would say it has something to do with unity. Can someone help on this?
Answer: The Stonewall riots were a series of spontaneous, violent demonstrations against a police raid that took place in the early morning hours of June 28, 1969, at the Stonewall Inn, in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of New York City. They are frequently cited as the first instance in American history when people in the homosexual community fought back against a government-sponsored system that persecuted sexual minorities, and they have become the defining event that marked the start of the gay rights movement in the United States and around the world.
American gays and lesbians in the 1950s and 1960s faced a legal system more anti-homosexual than those of some Warsaw Pact countries.[note 1][2] Early homophile groups in the U.S. sought to prove that gay people could be assimilated into society, and they favored non-confrontational education for homosexuals and heterosexuals alike. The last years of the 1960s, however, were very contentious, as many social movements were active, including the African American Civil Rights Movement, the Counterculture of the 1960s, and antiwar demonstrations. These influences, along with the liberal environment of Greenwich Village, served as catalysts for the Stonewall riots.
Very few establishments welcomed openly gay people in the 1950s and 1960s. Those that did were often bars, although bar owners and managers were rarely gay. The Stonewall Inn, at the time, was owned by the Mafia.[3][4] It catered to an assortment of patrons, but it was known to be popular with the poorest and most marginalized people in the gay community: drag queens, and representatives of a newly self-aware transgender community, effeminate young men, hustlers, and homeless youth. Police raids on gay bars were routine in the 1960s, but officers quickly lost control of the situation at the Stonewall Inn, and attracted a crowd that was incited to riot. Tensions between New York City police and gay residents of Greenwich Village erupted into more protests the next evening, and again several nights later. Within weeks, Village residents quickly organized into activist groups to concentrate efforts on establishing places for gays and lesbians to be open about their sexual orientation without fear of being arrested.
After the Stonewall riots, gays and lesbians in New York City faced gender, class, and generational obstacles to becoming a cohesive community. Within six months, two gay activist organizations were formed in New York, concentrating on confrontational tactics, and three newspapers were established to promote rights for gays and lesbians. Within a few years, gay rights organizations were founded across the U.S. and the world. On June 28, 1970, the first Gay Pride marches took place in Los Angeles and New York commemorating the anniversary of the riots. Similar marches were organized in other cities. Today, Gay Pride events are held annually throughout the world toward the end of June to mark the Stonewall riots.[5]

Question: health and social care assignment. due in tomorrow HELP!!!!!? explain how the mental health act 1983 supports the rights of individuals
Answer: The Mental Health Act 1983 (c.20) is an Act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom but applies only to people in England and Wales.[1] It covers the reception, care and treatment of mentally disordered persons, the management of their property and other related matters. In particular, it provides the legislation by which people suffering from a mental disorder can be detained in hospital and have their disorder assessed or treated against their wishes, unofficially known as "sectioning". Its use is reviewed and regulated by an NHS special health authority known as the Mental Health Act Commission (MHAC). The Act has been significantly amended by the Mental Health Act 2007.
Question: California child support? So in California if the mother of my child gave child enforcement all my information, including my parents info and my social security is there anyway I can get of of pay for child support? Yes, there has been a court order already and I have to pay 256 per month plus back support since the child was born. She has full physical and legal custody and i have visitation that is mutually agreed upon us. I have to notify her if i have any intention to visit my child. My daughter is 8 months old and i haven't seen her. I'm scared of being a dad..I ain't ready! If I don't pay child support they won't come after me even if there is a wage assignment right? Can I take the ***** back to court and get everything in my favor and not pay? Can I change my social security and not report my taxes and or jobs?
Answer: well the honor system doesnt work, thats for sure. the states and federal government is TIRED of parents not paying for thier kids. thats why the child support laws have never been stronger.
just because you dont see your child or dont want to, doesnt mean you get out of child support.
you can not just sign away your rights today, so not to pay support. courts wont let you.
to cross state lines to avoid child support is now a federal offense.
you can run, hide, work under the table.... but that money keeps adding up. they take your drivers license, your tax refunds (state and federal), throw you in jail (good ol free sack lift and cheek spread searches included), put leins on everything, and so much more.
even if you hide for years and years (being a deadbeat), when they find you (and they will), you will pay then.... even if that child is married by then.... you'll owe it.
EVERYONE is tired of DEADBEATS. just wrap your love sword next time, and pay for what you created. shes not being a *****, your being an ***hole and a dirtbagg.
PAY FOR YOUR KID DIRTBAGGGG...

Question: Where can I get information on support and guidance in adult education? I am currently carrying out an assignment for City & Guilds 7407 Stage 1. The assignment I am carrying out is on Learner Support. This covers inclusion, the DDA, physical needs, special learning needs, basic skills and cultural issues. One of the criteria in the assignment is "Identify sources of support and guidance outside the organisation". I have identified the Disability Right Commission. Does anybody have any ideas or know whether I am going in the right direction.
Answer: You could also ask at your local school. Although they are children not adults, they have to deal with the same problems. My local school has a SENCO who deals with children with disabilities. There should be one at your local primary or senior school who may be able to give you some more pointers - after all, they must go to outside agencies for help at times!
Of course, you could also try organisations set up to help people with disabilities and other problems
Good luck with your assignment.
Oh, and if you find any of the answers useful, please do not forget to include Yahoo! in your sources!!!! If nothing else, it shows initiative!
Question: What is wrong with the Democratic delegate assignment process? The Clinton camp has devised a number of arguments to support her candidacy for the nomination over Sen. Obama despite her delegate deficit. In particular:
1. What matters most is how the candidate performs in large states.
2. What matters most is how the candidate performs in states the Democrats typically win in the general election.
3. Caucuses are undemocratic.
Interestingly, the delegate assignment process accounts for the population of the state, which would seem to refute point 1. Additional weight in terms of number of delegates is granted to those states that have voted Democratic in presidential and Congressional elections, which counters point 2.
Can someone propose a new delegate system that they feel would be more fair and continue to respect state rights and allow everyone to have a voice in the process, a crucial part of the Clinton argument?
I actually think the Democrats have the delegate process right. If Dean hadn't overpenalized FL/MI, we'd be OK.
Answer: Clinton will do anything to win. She is trying to change the rules in the middle of the game. What a sore loser.
Question: Why do people say there's a similarity here? Why do they say there's a similarity between transsexuals and intersexuality? Aren't we opposites to each other? I mean we rarely need as much hormones as them. We rarely go through the same issues like most of the time nobody calls us transsexuals if it's detected by birth and right assignment is made. I remember going to a transyouth support group and they were saying I didn't have same issues as them because I wasn't taking hormones and I still had breasts. I was not trans enough.
Answer: True-TSism is medical, just like Intersex. It is TG and TS that are opposite. MtF TSs are women born with a birth defect, while MtF TGs are men posing as women.
Remember, sex, gender identity (brain sex), gender role, and orientation are 4 separate things. Sex is what you have below, gender identity is who you are, your brain wiring, your talents, values, and interests in regards to gender. Gender role is how you reconcile your gender identity with the world, and this is completely cultural, and orientation is just your preference in partners. If your body sex and your brain sex are at odds, then you are still intersexed, though people don't think of it that way. Nobody chooses True-TSism nor Intersex disorder and persons are born as either. Those with an intersex disorder are not always assigned correctly, and when doctors get it wrong, the patients suffer the same as TSs do and undergo pretty much the same transition. Because the brain wiring is not clear at birth, being born with the wrong genitals and the correct brain is possible. When there is a conflict, the brain is always correct and a better indicator of who the person is.
Detecting which brain wiring exists is not as hard as people think. I know a woman with IS who was wrongly assigned to live as a boy by her abusive father. He even passed her around to men to sexually abuse her with the hope of it making her want to live and act as a boy. She was having seizures and was given an EEG. The technician commented that the patient couldn't be a boy according to the brain waves, and that was when her father punched the technician. Her parents were even abusive and controlling in her adulthood. Now that her parents are dead, my middle-aged friend can get on with her life.
TS is the correct word to use when a patient has a body at odds with their brain and they need surgery. Most TGs never get surgery, and it is immoral, unethical, and wrong to lump TSs in with these sex-crazed men who keep their genitals for life. TG is a term that the Pink Taliban invented to harm true TSs and make their own chosen TG lifestyle acceptable. By using TG to refer to TSs, you support the TG and LGBTs abuse of the true-TSs who are a subset of the mainstream and opponents of TGs.
Question: Can anyone answer questions about a vindication of the rights of women by Mary Wollstonecraft? If you have read this or done this assignment at school, I would like to confirm answers to these questions, thanks.
1. One fact that has contributed to women's classification without their agreement?
2. What analogy does the author use to compare women and another sector of society?
3. Two support arguments that the author uses to support her thesis?
4. One contemporary factor consistent and one inconsistent with her view of women.
5. Why are allusions effective in this essay?
Answer: Do your own homework. Geez! We had to suffer through it, now it's your turn.
Question: being gay? why is it such a bad thing here? ok, where i live everyone thinks i am gay just because i support gay rights ( i just told one person and wrote about it in a assignment ) now everyone thinks i am gay. i really don't care because i find being gay to be nothing wrong but i may think i am bi but, when i walk down the hall kids call me faggot or something in that matter. some of my friends don't stay my friends and i am sad over this. I AM SICK OF HOMOPHOBES AND RACISTS. My question is has anyone ever felt this way gay or not?
the ****** is F@gget
Answer: I am straight yet I support gay rights. Those people who bash you are probably at most people who are close minded and is not informed enough. I wouldn't take them too seriously unless they are hard core threatening you. It doesn't matter what people call you, as long as you feel good and fine about yourself. Maybe if you give your friends some time maybe they would calm down and understand you. You seem like a pretty awesome person, I don't really see a reason why they would just abandon you like that. They are just afraid of the unknown.
Question: need help spotting and naming the fallacies in this article? Byline: Amy Sullivan
The leaders of The Roman Catholic Church traditionally couch even the harshest disagreements in decorous, ecclesiastical language. But it didn't take a decoder ring to figure out what Rome-based Archbishop Raymond Burke meant in a late-September address when he charged Boston Cardinal Sean O'Malley with being under the influence of Satan, "the father of lies."
Burke's broadside at O'Malley was inspired by the Cardinal's decision to permit and preside over a funeral Mass for the late Senator Ted Kennedy. And it has set the Catholic world abuzz. Even more than protests over the University of Notre Dame's decision to invite President Barack Obama to speak, disputes over the Kennedy funeral have brought into the open an argument that has been roiling within American Catholicism. The debate nominally centers on the question of how to deal with politicians who support abortion rights. Burke and others who believe a Catholic's position on abortion trumps all other teachings have faced off against those who take a more holistic view of the faith. But at the core, the divide is over who decides what it means to be Catholic.
A Bull in a China Shop
It strikes no one as surprising that the 61-year-old Burke is at the center of the current fight. The former Archbishop of St. Louis made national headlines in 2004 when he became the first Catholic leader to say he would deny the Eucharist to Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry. He led an unsuccessful drive to bar Communion for politicians who support abortion rights. And as Election Day approached in 2004, Burke issued a warning to Catholics in the key swing state of Missouri that they should not present themselves for Communion if they voted for pro-choice candidates.
The Archbishop's outspoken comments did not go unnoticed in Rome. In June 2008, Burke was unexpectedly transferred to the Vatican. The move was widely interpreted as a way to put some distance between Burke and the political contest in the States. "It was not unrelated to issues of political timing," observes Mark Silk, a professor of religion at Trinity College.
Burke's new assignment came with an impressive title: Prefect of the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signatura--essentially chief justice of the Vatican's highest court. But the job, which involves hearing appeals of lower-canon-court rulings on issues like annulment requests, did not stop him from commenting on American politics. In January he charged that the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops was responsible for Obama's victory because it overwhelmingly approved a document suggesting that Catholics could consider issues besides abortion when deciding how to vote. The conference's in-house news service, he added, failed to highlight Obama's moral failings in its campaign coverage. And he called Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, a pro-choice Catholic, a "source of deepest embarrassment to Catholics."
Burke's confrontational approach doesn't always mesh with the more discreet diplomacy favored by his Italian colleagues. "He's seen as a bull in a china shop," says an American priest and longtime Rome resident. "I've seen Italian bishops roll their eyes."
In retrospect, it should have been obvious that the funeral plans for Kennedy would reignite a lingering dispute within the church. The question of whether the Senator should even be described as a Catholic because of his support for abortion rights and his checkered life history was hotly debated on Catholic blogs and religion websites like Beliefnet.com. Right-wing Catholics lobbied the Boston archdiocese to refuse the Kennedy family a church funeral. Robert Royal of the Faith & Reason Institute called O'Malley's decision to go ahead with the Mass a "grave scandal" on a par with the sexual-abuse crisis.
But it's one thing for partisans and bloggers to disparage a Mass for a dead Senator; it's quite another for a Vatican official to do so. Even some leading conservative Catholics may find they cannot support Burke's latest salvo. When told of the Archbishop's assertion that pro-choice Catholics should not be permitted funeral rites, Princeton professor Robert George was taken aback: "That's a very different, and obviously graver, claim than that with which I would have sympathy. I haven't heard before any bishop say that pro-abortion politicians should not be given a Catholic funeral."
CardinalSeansBlog.org
Friends of O'Malley's say The Cardinal was stunned by the criticism. The 65-year-old O'Malley is temperamentally Burke's opposite, a shy man who dislikes celebrity and shuns politics--a major reason he was appointed to the sensitive post in Boston. With his full beard and preference for wearing the brown robe of a Capuchin friar, the man who goes by "Cardinal Sean" is not easily identified as a Prince of the Church. When O'Malley received his red hat in 2006, he persuaded some friends to go
Answer: I am not a big fan of Bishop Burke for his handling of the Polish parish of St. Stanislaus when he was the Bishop of St. Louis. On the abortion issue and the handling of the fallen away Catholics that support aborttion he was exactly correct. O'Malley was wrong. You cannot be a Catholic and favor and support the murder of the most innocent and helpless of humanity. It is good that they have the voice of the Archbishop to speak for them even if evil people do not want to hear. God bless!
In Christ

Question: What is an attribute of (the concept of) social support? I'm doing an assignment, and I have to state the attributes of social support, but I'd like an example of one just to make sure I'm on the right track.
Thanks for the answers but just to clarify, this about the concept, not the organization.
Answer: Family support of children, public welfare and unemployment benefits, and Church help in babysitting children are all examples of social support.
Question: what are some recent controversial laws/issues in Canada? I'm doing a law assignment on individual rights vs. interests of the community.
And I need to have examples of laws that have been passed, or recent issues that support either side. Any ideas?
Answer: gay marriage is a very specific, very widely reported example which involved new legislation.
Another good example of rights vs rights is that of Robert Latimer, the Saskatchewan farmer who killed his disabled daughter because he claimed she was suffering.
Question: help in my Effective Persuasive Writing class? i am taking a writing class and we are doing thesis statement and outlines and essays this is my assignment right now my topic is
ABORTION I don't know how to answer these questions if someone can explain this to me i would be greatfull.below is my actual assignment due Wednesday, not asking for anyone to do this for me just ideas so i can better understand how to answer these
thanks so much
What kinds of supporting paragraphs (examples, details, definitions, analysis, division and classification, process analysis, comparison/contrast, cause/effect) will be appropriate to support this thesis for your Persuasive Essay? Explain your answer.
how to answer these on abortion ?
need to answer these basically on abortion not understanding these questions
examples, details, definitions, analysis, division and classification, process analysis, comparison/contrast, cause/effect
Answer: Basically, you have to come up with good reasons why you support or don't support abortion. You need facts, quotes, reasons, examples, etc or else the reader won't or be persuaded to change their mind.
So this is what I would do...
Pros OR Cons of Abortion
1. First reason why you support or don't support it
--- Fact to back up your reason
--- Another fact
--- Another fact
2. Second reason why you support or don't support it
--- Fact to back up your reason
--- Another fact
--- Another fact
3. Third reason why you support or don't support it
--- Fact to back up your reason
--- Another fact
--- Another fact
With your facts, use quotes, statistics, and examples (use dramatic true stories to touch the readers heart!).
Edit: The reasons for why you are for or against abortion is your own opinion. If you're pro, why? Is it because believe that the mother has full ownership of her body and what she does? Is it because the mother may be too young to own and support the baby? If you're con, once again, why? Is it because the mother is killing a human? Is it because it's immoral and wrong? You need to pick a side and state why.
To find examples, facts, etc... you need to research.

Question: Any suggestions on what to do now regarding my soon-to-be-defaulted payday loans? I began getting payday loans in April of '07. I was just an inexperienced young adult trying to keep my car and my rent paid for me and my disabled mother. I quickly got trapped into a vicious cycle of debt. I rolled over numerous loans until I ended up with 9 storefront loans!! It finally became too much for me to handle. I've even already used extended payment plans with all the companies who would allow, but I ended up going back to reloan to carry over the burden of the remaining loans and my escalating bills. 8 of my loans will soon be in default. I did stop payments on the checks and closed my account and opened a new account. I placed my closed account on credit only status; the bank will now call for authorization for any debits. I just missed my due date for all the loans and haven't contacted most of the lenders yet. One called me at work and immediately became rude and threatening when I told her I couldn't pay the total amount or the interest to roll over. She threatened a lawsuit and wage garnishment. I know this is possible, but there is no way I can afford a wage garnishment from 8 separate lenders. I am so nervous about contacting the remaining companies because I know that these places just want their money and do not want to work with you. I am going to draft a letter revoking wage assignment rights and access to my bank account as well as a directive to not call me at work. However I fear that this will not stop these companies from harassing me at work. I know I've made a huge mistake and I want to pay but I just can't pay all at once. The one lady I talked to already denied my request for a payment arrangement. Are there anymore suggestions as to what else I should do?? I don't want to just sit around and wait for court, and I fear some of these companies will reject any payments I may make. Please help me! I am overwhelmed! I have sincerely learned my lesson. If I pay $50 a month to each lender I can have them paid within about 10-12 months. That's all I can afford, almost more. Any suggestions or support or advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Answer: 1. You can tell them not to call you, but that doesn't stop them from proceeding.
2. You cannot stop a wage garnishment b/c you don't have that authority, if they go to court, win a lawsuit, and a judge grants it, your company WILL garnish your wages per the court order.
3. They are not obligated to work with you...you over-extended yourself and agreed to the terms when you took out the money...they should have to lose money b/c you can't pay it back.
4. I would suggest calling a not-for-profit credit counseling service...they can work with these people on your behalf. If they ask for money up front, they are NOT not-for-profit.
