Question: How do I locate my deceased fathers assets to open probate? My father passed away and being that he was not married and I am his son, I need to handle his accounts, and probably start probate. How do I locate his bank accounts and the balances he has in them? How do I locate any other assets he had? I do not know anything about his finances and have no idea where to even start. Thanks!

Answer: First off, I'm sorry for your loss. I'd suggest you start with putting in a change of address form with the Post Office so his mail is forwarded to you. You can even do this online at USPS.com Did you have Power of Attorney? If not, you'll definitely need a lawyer. Make sure you get multiple certified copies of his death certificate. When you have a chance to go to his home, look through all his stored files for bank info and insurance, etc. Some of that might even be in his wallet. Some of his assets might not be known to you for a year if only annual and/or tax statements are issued. Good luck with all of this.

Answer: You can't. And only law enforcement agencies can locate one using triangulation.

Answer: When a question has received no answers, it will be deleted by Yahoo. But you should still be able to see it by going to your profile and clicking your "My Questions" tab. If the full question was in the space where the question goes, you would be able to see it, but you can't click on it to view any details you may have added.

Answer: Before you pay it off, I would say get a copy of your credit report and locate the credit card on it. It is a good practice not to just go ahead and pay whoever has the account listed on your credit report because the account must have gone through many more collection companies before ending up with the current collection company. I would suggest once you know which collections agency is currently listing the bad debt, write to the credit bureaus that have this listing and dispute the credit card account. This one processes will accomplish many things including, (i) Make sure that you finally make payment to the correct company that will update your credit report accordingly (i.e. paid as agreed). (ii) Put you in a position where you can negotiate the charge if they are able to provide proof. (iii) Helps you avoid the hundreds if not thousands of dollars that must have been added to the original debt. If you decide to pay, make sure the collection agency agrees to update your credit report, stating "paid as agreed". Otherwise you might not see the benefit of paying off the account in the first place. Good Luck

Answer: You can get a cell phone with a GPS unit in it to be tracked, but the commercials for 911 say that you have to know where you are, that they cannot find you unless you give them your location. Perhaps the FBI can, or the television show investigators, but real 911 cannot. If you are travelling down the interstate, you would know the name of the interestate you are on, and probably the one big city that you passed (even if it was some time before and you are not sure where you have gone). Interstate highways have state patrol cruising all the time; if they pass you broken down or receive a call to be on the lookout for you, they will probably find you. Another suggestion, if you are worried about breaking down somewhere where you can't be located (perhaps you travel a lot of long distances, and drive late into the night), you can get a service such as AAA, and call them to help you. Breaking down on the side of the highway does NOT constitute a 911 emergency. Unless you are injured or in physical danger, you should be calling a tow company, not 911.

Answer: It isn't likely that there is a wire there that you could use. A dedicated wire must be run from a switch (where the power usually originates) to the location for the light in the ceiling. If there isn't an existing light there, wires would have to be run through the wall. Probably not something you want to pay for in an apartment.

Question: How can i locate and delete the ghost files on a windows XP computer? I have been trying to delete some of the ghost files on my pc for various reasons, I attempted the delete the file- trash it from the recycle bin- and use search with the hidden folders and subfolders options turned on to locate the strategy. Answer: Ghost files are tiny remnants of files left behind when Windows deletes them. Unfortunately they cannot be seen by the normal user, and therefore cannot be deleted manually. The easiest and best way to have them cleaned is to use an application called Windows Washer. It will completely scrub all of your "free space" to make sure there are no ghost files left.

Answer: hi there. it is located on the passenger side of the vehicle. pop the hood and stand against passenger fender and look into engine bay. look to the back against the firewall behind the engine. you should see the sender on top of the transmission with a plug connected to it horizontal. you will need a small 10 mm socket with either a small extension or a very long one. after you remove the bolt, pull the sender straight upwards. do not lose the tang that goes between the gear and sender! i hope this helps. Answer: well, i'm on Vista and my Frostwire is in the Frostwire folder in All Programs. Try to search for it. Or check if it is really installed by going to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs. If it's not there, try installing again. Onc eyou found it, to put a shortcut on your desktop, right click > send to > desktop (shortcut).
