Question: What states does washington have reciprocity with for college? Like if i live in washington state and i want to college to maybe oregon (like OSU) or Hawaii (UH), is their reciprocity between them? or no?
Answer: what do you mean by reciprocity? like where they offer in-state tuition to certain out-of-state residents?
i´m not sure if this exists for WA state residents. sorry!
Question: Is this an example of reciprocity failure, and how do I compensate for it? I'm pretty well versed in digital photography, but I'm working with film for the first time for a class I'm taking. I went out yesterday to take some shots of a stream and waterfall, planning on using a neutral density filter to blur the motion of the water - I shot with both my Canon EOS 30D and my 35mm SLR. The digital shots came out great, but the film shots (which were very carefully metered and shot in manual mode) are severely underexposed. I did some reading to try and understand the problem, and am left wondering if this is an example of reciprocity failure.
Thanks for reading and your feedback!
I'm shooting with Kodak Tri-X 400, per order of the instructor.
Additional details: My exposure times were in the neighborhood of 5 seconds, and I metered what I thought was the darkest part of the scene (which was mostly uniform in exposure) with the ND filter on, and the camera I'm using has evaluative metering. The negatives aren't useless but they are close - far from the perfect exposure the meter made it look like I was getting.
Also - I've found the tech specs for the film and understand how to compensate when shooting, but don't know what they mean by a "development adjustment". (I'm an amateur in the darkroom.) Can anyone explain that?
Answer: Tri-X requires an exposure correction with exposure times of 1 second and longer.
If your exposures were longer than 1 second, there's a good chance that, yes indeed, you are seeing reciprocity failure.
From Kodak's data sheet for Tri-X, here's the suggested long exposure compensation
1 second-+1 stop
10 seconds +2 stops
100 seconds +3 stops
Question: How to apply reciprocity with RN license from Illinois to Pennsylvania? Hi. I am currently licensed in the state of Illinois but I will be residing permanently here in PA. I just want to know how to apply for reciprocity of my license to the state of PA while I'm waiting for my work permit. I am a little bit confused of the difference between license by endorsement and reciprocity. I read that it's not the same. Please do enlighten me about this important issue. Answer: Go to the PA web site or call them Essentially you apply for a PA license; unless they accept the Illinois one. When you apply when it asks if you are licensed in another state, you answer: Illinois.

Question: Is there reciprocity between an Arkansas and Texas police/corrections officer license? I have looked everywhere and cannot find a link to advise me if there is a reciprocity agreement between the states of Arkansas and Texas for a police officer or corrections officer license.
I have managed to locate reciprocity agreements in regards to concealed handgun permits but not police officer or corrections officer licenses.
Can anyone direct me to a reliable link for this information.
Actually, I'd like to know which states offer reciprocity with Texas if at all possible.
Answer: There are no states that allow you to walk from a corrections or police job in Texas to one in their state. Each state has its own certification and testing system. It is totally up to whatever jurisdiction you go to as to how much prior experience will matter to them. Smaller departments may offer a mini-academy, but larger cities may make you take the whole academy again so that they can say they trained you for liability issues.
Like I said it's up to each jurisdiction. Over my many years in law enforcement I have seen cities open up a "lateral transfer" program, but I haven't seen this in a few years. Good luck.

Question: What does it mean when a license in the medical field has a reciprocity? I credential employees in the medical field and found a physical therapy license with a license method of "reciprocity." What does this mean?
Answer: When two or more states have reciprocity agreement that means those states will honor licenses from other states in certain professions. So when someone received a license from a state based on license from another state, the method is reciprocity, they basically did not have to re-take the licensing exam.
As far as I know many states have reciprocity agreements on many medical professions. Otherwise any doctor would have to retake doctor's exam when they move from state to state.
Question: What is the difference between reciprocity and market exchange? ? What is the difference between reciprocity and market exchange? What role does each play in our own society?
Answer: reciprocity is a general term which describes a relationship in which one person gives, and the recipient then gives back in turn. market exchange is a specific form of reciprocity. While reciprocity describes an roughly equal exchange, in a market exchange the value is quantified by a cash value whereas in other forms of exchange in different parts of the world, value may not be reckoned this way. in addition, a market exchange typically involves an immediate exchange whereas in other parts of the world, an gift or allowance is reciprocated later on. I'm not sure society you live in, but i will asume North America and say that market exchanges make up a huge component of our market economy and are the fundamental distributors of resources, wheras reciporicty takes place throughout our social insitutions such as mutual gift giving on birthdays, holidays or giving loans to friends.
Question: How does driver's License reciprocity work? I moved to Maryland changed over my license and then a month later I have found out I need to move back home. I contacted the DMV and they said that I could use license reciprocity. What do I need and how does it work?
Answer: The DMV can change your license without requiring you to be re-tested.
Question: Is there reciprocity between New Jersey and Florida? By "reciprocity" I mean some arrangement by which two states exchange information regarding convictions relevant to the other. For example, if you have a New York license and your driving privileges are suspended in Alabama for, say, driving without insurance, Alabama would contact the pertinent authorities in New York with the information and, given this information NY, would take your license. These exchanges would be automatic, of course.
Answer: I believe you are talking about the interstate compact. An agreement between member states to enforce each other's traffic citations. If your license is suspended in Alabama and you attempt to get another license in New York, NY will do a drivers license check with Alabama. Alabama tells NY you are suspended and NY denies you a drivers license. Here's a link with more information.

Question: How long does EMT reciprocity for PA take? I'm a NY EMT-B and have applied for reciprocity in PA. How long does this process usually take?
Answer: No more than 3-6 months i think. It depends probably on how grown up you are because I mean you are right out of high school and they have to take you seriously, so just act confident and wait for a reply.
Question: do all states have reciprocity on drivers license? If I lose my (CDL) license in Kentucky, is there another state I can get one? Do all the states have reciprocity with each other?
Answer: Are you asking whether or not you are entitled to a replacement DL from another state? No. Only Kentucky can issue a Kentucky DL. And in order to get a DL issued in another state, you'll need to follow their requirements (i.e., complete any required classes, pass required tests, etc.). The "reciprocity" of DL's is simply that all states will recognize the validity of a DL issued by another state, not that a person is entitled to a DL from another state based on their having one issued in one state.
Question: How many people in the world follow ethic of reciprocity or the Golden Rule? How many people in the world follow ethic of reciprocity or the Golden Rule? If eveveryone treated a person like they would like to be treated, would there be as much tension in the world as there is now?
Answer: I have always lived by the Golden Rule.....however it puts you at a great disadvantage when you are dealing with those who don't believe in it, and see those of us who do as "easy marks". I've been burned many times due to this, but it has not swayed me from treating people as I would like to be treated ~

Question: I just passed the NCLEX-RN from Florida but i'm planning to work in Virginia. How can I apply for reciprocity? What are the requirements in order to work in Virginia since i am licensed in Florida? I've heared about reciprocity, is this what i need so that i can work in VA? Answer: The Virginia Board of Nursing joined the Nurse Licensure Compact on January 1, 2005, so anyone holding a license to practice nursing from one of those states may also practice in Virginia.
In addition to Virginia, states participating in the Compact are: Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Idaho, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Wisconsin.
Since Florida is not a compact state, you will most likely have to apply for licensure to practice in Virginia. You can contact the Board of Nursing for more specific information: phone: (804) 367-4515, fax: (804) 527-4455, email: [email protected]
I don't think Florida generally has reciprocity with other states because they don't want an influx of retirees or "snowbirds" coming to Florida for retirement, but still working and taking work away from residents who have been there a while.
Question: What states have law enforcement reciprocity with Michigan? In other words, when I graduate the police academy in Michigan what states will recognize my training?
Answer: Every state has it's own training. Only Michigan will accept yours. I know that Virginia, Maryland and another state do have one standardized training for all three states, but that is different than accepting one another's. Typically, if you have worked as a police officer, you can apply for a job in another state and they send you through a shortened version of their own academy. This is to cover the laws that are different in that state and medical qualifications necessary. You will not have to repeat defensive tactics or domestic violence training, for example, but you will take classes on crimes and vehicles.
