Court Docket
The formal court record of proceedings before it. Notations of all pleadings, orders, and judgments are entered into a docket book. In divorce court the first entry is the complaint or petition for divorce. The final entry is the judgment of divorce. If the case resurfaces because of a complaint for modification or a complaint for contempt, the docket is reopened and continued. If you are concerned that your spouse is about to file for divorce, visit the court to examine the docket. Ask how long a new filing takes to show up on the docket.

Question: My friends court docket says 09-CI-00231 next to it. number: We live in Ky. What does thius # mean? I found the court docket online and I am afraid to ask him cause I don't want to pour alt on a wound.
Answer: It looks like the case number. Every time a case is filed, it is given a case number by the Clerk's office. The 09 means that it was filed in 2009. The rest of it is probably a way to track the case. If you needed to review the file, you would use the case number and not the names. (Because names can be similar and the same people can be involved in a number of different lawsuits.)

Question: Two cases are now on U.S. Supreme Court Justice Souter's Docket re. Obama citizenship. Which is stronger case? Two cases are now before Justice Souter of the U.S. Supreme Court regarding challenges to Obama needing to conclusively prove his natural born citizenship status by providing a certified "vault copy", long form original birth certificate, which has the signature of his mother, doctor, and witnesses thereon, not a computer generated "Certification of Live Birth" (COLB) short form. Which case do you think is the stronger case?
Philip J. Berg case filed in PA:
http://countryfirst.bravehost.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=283
Leo C. Donofrio case filed in NJ:
http://search.access.gpo.gov/supreme-court/SearchRight.asp?ct=Supreme-Court-Dockets&q1=Donofrio&x=33&y=24
More information can be found about other cases working their way up the legal system here:

More information about the constitution on this issue can be found here:
http://countryfirst.bravehost.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=63
So which case is the stronger case, either at the Supreme Court now, or one filed in another state and still working its way up the legal system? Cite which case and why?
Philip J. Berg case was in two parts. Only the part calling for the stay of the election was denied. The question of citizenship proof is still on the docket, i.e., 08-570:
http://search.access.gpo.gov/supreme-court/SearchRight.asp?ct=Supreme-Court-Dockets&q1=Philip+J.+Berg&x=30&y=15
Leo C. Donofrio case is still on the docket and has not been denied.
http://search.access.gpo.gov/supreme-court/SearchRight.asp?ct=Supreme-Court-Dockets&q1=Donofrio&x=33&y=24
So which case is stronger?
Likewise for the Donofrio of NJ case, only the emergency stay of the election was denied by Justice Souter. The case requiring Obama to prove his is a "natural born citizen of the U.S. per the U.S. Constitution" by producing a certified vault copy, long form, original birth certificates is still before Justice Souter.
In the Berg of PA case, Justice Souter has already given notice to Obama to respond by 1 Dec 08.

"De Nile" is a river in Africa.
So which case is the stronger one?
Here is a web page showing only the stay of the election was denied but the rest of the Donofrio case was reinstated because the clerk of the court made an error. The citizenship part continues:
http://americamustknow.com/newjerseycase.aspx
Thus, will the cases be combined. Or if kept separate, which is the stronger one?
Update: Justice Souter awaits response requested by him from Obama. Response due date is 1 Dec 2008.
http://www.obamacrimes.com/index.php/news/52-us-supreme-court-awaits-response-to-berg-writ-of-certiorari-from-obama
Answer: I am not sure which one has more strength but i do know that the berg case has a deadline of dec 1st. If this is the first deadline maybe this one. the thing is it has been 2 weeks since the SC issued the demand for a response but no response.
If we get to Dec 1st with no response the SC will definitely act. The justices are there to uphold the integrity of the constitution and of they are ignored it will not be looked upon kindly. It would be very easy to dismiss this case, just supply what they are asking for. McCain Did in the lawsuit against him.
Any lawyer knows that if you do not answer a lawsuit you lose by default, period. it doesn't matter what it is for. Its like a team not showing up to play a game.
The only thing the SC denied was the injunction to delay the election.
this issue doesn't directly effect me but i would have to say that the Evidence in defense of Obama is shaky at best. The COLB on the internet clearly looks shady. I could call a newspaper right now and say that my wife and I had a child and they would put it in, they are not going to send anyone to a hospital to check it out... The fact that is a defense point is crazy.
Question: Whats in a court docket file?

Question: Can anyone in Mass. tell me where to go to view court records/dockets for civil/criminal cases for free? I need to find a reliable public access information web site for Massachusetts (Beverly/salem/peabody/worchester and so on). Any links would be great. Please do not send me a link that gives me teasers and then wants to strip a heafty fee out of my bank account for details. I just need to view court dockets, outcomes, charges, and so on. Thanks!
Answer: Sometimes you can get those things if you go to the court house where the trials took place. My husband is a private investigator here in MA and has to do that often.
Question: lawyer filed motion to withdraw received by court on my docket call date motion to withdraw was ok by judge on? ....the judge ok'd the lawyers motion to withdraw as attorney.. my question is-why was an arrest warrent issued for failure to appear wehen it was obvious i had to find new lawyer. This is in the state of texas
Answer: Most likely the motion to withdraw, when granted, did not excuse you from appearing on your court date. Court dates don't automatically change. They usually need to be rescheduled irrespective of other motions and filings.
Question: Why would a court Docket number change? I was arrested on a Ramey warrent in California in June. I had an arraignment on Julyn 5th that was continued until July 29th, then again on the 29th it was continued until the 13th of August. The entire time I was able to look up the status of the case by the same docket number.
However after the 29th the Docket number changed to a completely different number. Does anyone know why this happened? I thought docket numbers always stayed the same?
I called my attorney and they stated that nothing is showing up in their system that charges have been filed. However it seems odd to me that the docket number changed after the 29th but didn't after the 5th..
Answer: Sometimes, during the continuance process, or at any time, the DA may file new or upgraded charges. If the charges have been elevated to a felony, this requires a re-file and new docket numbers. It also goes the same in reverse. You may not find this out until your next court appearance.
