Question: how long will it take for and I130 applicant to receive visa? My Mother is a US citizen, on August 17th, 2009 she applied for my married brother (over 21).
We received the approval notice on January 12,2010 ( 5months later).
The priority date on the notice says August 12, 2009. the case status on immigration website shows "document production/ oath ceremony" which is the last step.how long does my brother have to wait until he receives his visa considering the country of his residence is Iran.
Thanks for helping me out.
Answer: At the moment, the priority date for F3 petitions, married children of US citizens is 1 May 2001, including Iranians. That means that only petitions in this category filed on or before that date are now valid for use, or current. The priority date is based on the date the petition was actually filed, not the approval date. All the approved petition means at the moment, is that it will be sent to the National Visa Center until it's current. They'll contact your family once it gets close. However, you can follow the progress of the priority date, which changes from month to month, by going to travel.state.gov and looking at the Visa Bulletin.
Question: I need help on a topic about filming. CAn anyone help if they know a lot about video production and all that? explain how video systems are a powerful form of communication?
how do you apply pre-production, production and post-production?
what are design documents, scripts, planning and storyboard?
what helps keep atttention to the audience?
Thank you and you will get 100 points legit
Answer: Your questions sound like a homework assignment and would require someone to spend a great deal of time explaining what you want to know. You can easily find all the information you need by using google.
A simple search like 'Filmmaking' answers many of your questions.
Question: After a Sworn Denial is filed with the court for credit card debt, when does the Discovery step come into play? Does the Request for Production of Documents happen hand in hand with the Sworn Denial or do I wait until I receive further notice from the other side? What should the letter say?
Thank you!
Answer: Discovery deadlines depend on the court. In some cases - some small claims courts for example - documents are admissible even if presented to you at trial.
It's always a good idea to file all requests for documents as soon as possible. Your brother should not go over the top on what he asks for. Judges tend to be irritated by defendants (especially pro se ones) that they think are wasting the plaintiffs time by asking for irrelevant junk.
The plaintiff needs to be able to present evidence that ;
a) Your brother is the person that they gave the credit card to.
b) He either requested it, or, after receiving it, used it.
c) The claim is not time-barred. In FL the SoL for a revolving credit account is 5 years from the last date of qualifying activity on the account. Qualifying activity is a charge or payment initiated by the debtor, or an offer or agreement by the debtor to make a payment.
He should only ask them to provide documentary proof of those things. Apart from anything else, Capital One's card agreement allows them to recover all collection costs from the card holder in a successful lawsuit. Whatever their lawyer charges for collecting and copying the requested documents, and sending them to him, will be added to the judgment if he loses. (And they have good lawyers and record-keeping procedures. While there's nothing wrong with fighting, he should go into it expecting to lose.)

Question: 485 approved (document production status) but I 130 pending? I had my I 485 interview on June 2, where the immigration officer told us she needed more evidence of ongoing marital union.And that unless we give those information we couldnt be issued the green card.I went back and checked the status online. I 485 is in documnet production status and I 130 is still pending?? What does this mean?? Do I still need to give further evidence of marriage when I 485 is already approved?? I thought I 485 approval is based on I 130 approval. Do anybody have a answer?? Immigration officers??
Answer: Still submit whatever they asked for. But I can tell you that their online case status system isn't all that reliable. I've had my green card for months now but my I-130 status has never changed from initial review when they first received the application.
Question: How do I start A Para-Legal business? I graduated in 2007, I would like to do some production of documents for law firms, I would also like to place Para-Legals' with potential clients how can I go about marketing my ideas?
Answer: Have you had any on the job experience or just schooling? I doubt many law firms would outsource production of Briefs, Motions, etc. to an outside company unless they had extensive experience...not just 1 year.
If you do want to pursue it, I would advertise in your local county and state bar association publications and maybe even Trial magazine.
Question: I've responded to and requested document production to a motion to modify. No answer in 3 months!? My ex got her attorney to file a motion to modify custody and support out of the blue in the state of Missouri. She was surprised when I got my own representation, responded, and requested document production to support her claims. The claims are impossible to prove and there has been no word from her lawyer. I hope that this is going to be a dead issue. How long does the case stay open for her to respond? My lawyer told me she had 30 days, but in the same breath said that
"really doesn't mean anything". There has to be a real limitation or at least something I can file to ask it be dismissed on my own.. right?
Answer: Your attorney could file for a summary judgment against the ex, or petition the court to hold them in contempt for not responding in a timely manner, or just to produce the documents requested.
Summary dismissal would be the best outcome.
Light a fire under your attorney's butt and get him moving. It's your life in limbo, not his. Being nice to the other side and letting them take all the time they want might be good for him, but not for you. George Patton said it best... the best defense is a good offense. Make the plaintiff's side follow the same rules they expect you to follow.
Question: Is a “request for production” filed at the same time that the “complaint” against the defendant is filed? In a civil lawsuit: It is my understanding that the “request for production” is a separate document, which is filed at the same time as the “complaint.” Is this true? Also: can the plaintiff file additional requests for production, or is there a time-frame that limits the number of requests for production, and when one can file this document?
Answer: The request for production is a discovery document, which you, as plaintiff, may not serve until the defendant(s) have answered the complaint. At that point, the defendant gets to make its request for production (as well as deposition notices) because as a general rule, the defense gets to take discovery from the plaintiff before the plaintiff gets to take discovery from defendant.
Question: Can someone help with filing requests for divorce? I'm the power of attorney for someone going through a divorce. This person doesn't have an attorney at this time. This person is in jail so can't get some of the legal things needed done for his final divorce hearing. I have the power to handle his business operating transactions, claims and litigation, and commence actions and proceedings in his name. I was told to file a request for interrogatories from petitioner to him (Respondent) and a request for production of documents from Petitioner to him(Respondent) . Can I do this and how? Thanks for any help.
Answer: Unless you are licensed to practice law, I would not do those things.
You need to hire an attorney to represent him. As his power of attorney, you probably also have the authority to hire professionals to represent him. However, while an attorney can hold the power of attorney, the power of attorney does NOT confer with it the ability to practice law on someone's behalf.
Contact a family law attorney in your area (or the area where the divorce has been filed). For a referral, call your local or state bar association.
Question: Do I have to provide documents the Plaintiff's attorney is demanding? I'm from California and somebody is trying to get me for a wrongful sale. I received documents today from the plaintiff's attorney that say "REQUEST FOR PRODUCTION OF DOCUMENTS". It is only signed by the Plaintiff's attorney and nobody else. Do I "have" to give him the documents that he is "DEMANDING"? Because it is not a court order. And it is not signed by a judge. It just seems as if the attorney is trying to see if I'm dumb enough to give him evidence against myself. Someone help! :)
Thank You guys. Well, I'm a co-defendant. And the Plaintiff's attorney is trying to get names of people I done deals with between me and my co-defendant. I'm wondering if it is because they don't have a strong case and they are trying to build one through my other clients.
Answer: Yes, you do. If you are going to be foolish enough to defend this case without an attorney, at least go buy a copy of the court rules.
§ 2031.010 states that, “(a) Any party may obtain discovery within the scope delimited by Chapters 2 (commencing with Section 2017.010) and 3 (commencing with Section 2017.710), and subject to the restrictions set forth in Chapter 5 (commencing with Section 2019.010), by inspecting, copying, testing, or sampling documents, tangible things, land or other property, and electronically stored information in the possession, custody, or control of any other party to the action. (b) A party may demand that any other party produce and permit the party making the demand, or someone acting on that party’s behalf, to inspect and to copy a document that is in the possession, custody, or control of the party on whom the demand is made. (c) A party may demand that any other party produce and permit the party making the demand, or someone acting on that party’s behalf, to inspect and to photograph, test, or sample any tangible things that are in the possession, custody, or control of the party on whom the demand is made. (d) A party may demand that any other party allow the party making the demand, or someone acting on that party’s behalf, to enter on any land or other property that is in the possession, custody, or control of the party on whom the demand is made, and to inspect and to measure, survey, photograph, test, or sample the land or other property, or any designated object or operation on it. (e) A party may demand that any other party produce and permit the party making the demand, or someone acting on that party’s behalf, to inspect, copy, test, or sample electronically stored information in the possession, custody, or control of the party on whom demand is made.”
A defendant may propound a request for production of documents at any time, however a plaintiff may not do so until at least ten (10) days have passed since service of the summons on the defendant, or the general appearance by the defendant, whichever occurs first. See Code of Civil Procedure § 2031.020.
There is no numerical limit to the number of requests but a party served with excessive requests may seek leave of court to limit the number of requests.
The California courts have ruled that the scope of discovery in California civil litigation is very broad. Any doubts are applied liberally in favor of discovery.
Question: Will being a Maoist prevent me from becoming a lawyer recognized by the bar? I go to NYU the best in the USA? Now it does say violent and unlawful but during the 1950s the CPUSA's constitution forbid using unconstitutional means to take power and that didn't stop McCarthy from throwing them in jail. Even the military allows membership in "totalitarian" organizations as long as no uniform is worn at events. Its 2008 and "liberal" New York prevents Communists, Anarchists, and any revolutionaries from becoming lawyers!
They even use the term "loyalty oath" right out of McCarthy!

a. less expensive than TV and magazine ads
> b. high target market selectivity
c. ability to be personalized
d. measurable results
e. flexibility
3. What characteristic of niche sites makes the medium MOST appealing to marketers?

4. Neal Murphy sells his company's unique gift items on television programs broadcast on a channel that is entirely dedicated to selling goods and services. Neal is using ________.
> home shopping channel marketing
5. ABC Company sells directly to final consumers and avoids intermediaries, while catering to a broad group of demographic segments. This marketer falls under which online marketing domain

Answer: Here are some thoughts, though you should check your text or notes to be sure.
4. As a transcriptionist, your most important skill is
A. the ability to type quickly
B. proficiency
C. the ability to accurately use reference materials
D. the ability to understand and analyze the dictation
You said D, but a transcriptionist has no real need to understand what the physician or surgeon is discussing to provide a proper transcription, and they certainly have no need to analyze the information. A more likely answer would be B. proficiency. A is wrong as typing quickly is only a plus if the information is correct.
7. A database of information used for research, patient follow-up, and improving public health programs may be a/an
A. correspondence management system
B. cancer registry
C. electronic medical record
D. tumor board
A is wrong as correspondence would not apply, any of the other three might, though the EMR would be least likely to aid public health. Check the other 2 answers in your text or notes.
8. If health care costs continue to rise, insurance companies fear that
A. they’ll have to offer a greater variety of insurance policies
B. coverage for dependents under age 18 will decrease
C. government involvement will increase on both state and federal levels
D. consumers will be driven to competitors who can offer lower prices
Health insurance greatest fears in the US is that if health care costs and the number of uninsured cannot be addressed the answer would be C.
9. How are professional credentials usually maintained?
A. By completing a continuing education cycle
B. By passing an annual examination
C. By joining the professional association
D. By receiving a degree
You said D. But once the degree is obtained it does not help in maintaining credentialling. All credentials require continuing education, but some also require periodic re-examination (though usually not annually) so A would be most correct.
10 the answer is A
11 the answer is B
13. Increasing the accessibility of patient information, reducing offsite storage costs, and freeing up department storage space are all benefits of implementing
A. computerized medical records
B. digital transcription systems
C. an integrated delivery system
D. correspondence management systems
You said B, but digital transcription systems would not change off-site or departmental storage needs, it would only change the method in which dictation was performed and stored for the transcriptionist. Answer: Dear Party,
Such a question should be better submitted in the section Homework Help at http://answers.yahoo.com/dir/index;_ylt=…
Anyways, you're forgiven because here's my answer to it.
1. Direct marketing is continuing to become more ________ oriented.
> online (email + web)
2. Which of the following is NOT a reason that direct-mail marketing drives approximately one third of all U.S. direct marketing sales?
a. less expensive than TV and magazine ads
> b. high target market selectivity
c. ability to be personalized
d. measurable results
e. flexibility
3. What characteristic of niche sites makes the medium MOST appealing to marketers?
> Responsiveness, because segmentation drives better results, significantly, but needs more work from marketers

6. Which of the following is a factor that is likely to push a company to decide NOT to enter international markets?
a. The company's home market is stagnant.
> b. The company would have to redesign its products.
c. The company needs to counterattack international competitors in their home markets.
d. Foreign markets present higher profit opportunities.
e. Global competitors have offered similar products at lower prices.
RATIONALE: b) The company would have to redesign its products. Because it's a cost (that could be significant) that the company has to pay upfront to enter the market. a) and d) are favorable reasons to enter international market. c) could be perceived as an hindrance to enter other national markets, but of a lesser extent because the company in its own country is probably already competing with those competitors, so doing the same outside its national market doesn't really make any difference. e) is an stronger hindrance to entering other national markets, but not as much because products can be sold at slightly higher price since there's always a place for better quality products. Anyways, the company will still have the choice to adjust its prices to match competition.

a) political stability
b) population density
c) education
d) income distribution

Question: Choose one answer.? The ____ code of ethics consists of eight general moral imperatives, eight specific professional responsibilities, six organizational leadership imperatives, and two elements of compliance.
Choose one answer.
a. BSA
b. AITP
c. MAA
d. ACM
Answer: This is a matter where you need to do your own homework.
Those are four specific ethical codes, from four different organizations. Anyone not in the software/media industry isn't even going to recognize most of the acronyms, nor is anyone likely to spend the time reading every one of those ethical codes to find the answer for you.
The entire point of the homework is to get you to read the ethical codes, and understand them. Having someone else do this for you is a waste of our time, and defeats the purpose of the assignment.

Answer: Hello -
>> Ok, I am such a nOOb at Java,
Well, I know you meant javascript, but people will jump all over you if you confuse java and javascript because they are 2 completely different languages.
Just looking at the post - you'd want to not have it where you do:
</SCRIPT>
</HEAD><SCRIPT language = JavaScript>
You want to put it in your head section (btw, you might want to look at your markup - if you eventually want to go to xhtml, your tags would be all lower case). The closing head and script tags should not be there. You don't need a language attribute but you do need a type attribute on your script tag. So it should be something like:
<!DOCTYPE whatever your doc-type is....
<head>
<script type="text/javascript">
function myCalculator1 () {
... }
function myCalculator2 () {
... }
.....
</script>
</head>
<body>...
<form>
<input ...>
<input ...>
<input type="button" onclick="javascript:myCalculate1(); return true;">
<input ...>
<input ...>
<input type="button" onclick="javascript:myCalculate2(); return true;">
</form>
</body>
</html>
I know you're probably just testing, but you should clean up your markup. I'd get rid of the empty <p></p>, put all your attributes in quotes (i.e. <input type="text" name="answer" size="12"> ...), get rid of your <font...> tags and use css, etc, but that's not really your question.
I'm not looking at the javascript functionality itself - but you can put more than one function in a <script> </script>. You also shouldn't have to use 3 separate forms to calculate your intermediate numbers - and all your input type tags should be contained in a form element.
You can attach a click event on the button so that you call the appropriate javascript function to calculate that portion of your calculation. And you cannot have the calculate function defined twice (even though your using different variables in the calculation). What you'd want to do is define different javascript functions and use the onclick event to associate a particular button with it's associated function.
Hope this helps - I didn't even look at the javascript itself... You need to fix up the basics so it's easier for you to debug. If you haven't already - use firefox and the javascript debugger firebug when you do get going - you'll be able to see what's going on and learn alot from that as well...
Question: Problems with my supervisor, what do I do? Let me give you some detail as to what I do. I work for a logistics company. Our biggest company that we have a contract for is M&M Mars. It is my responsibility to obtain the code dates and paperwork for the jobs that are to be completed on the factory floor. I work in the office which is responsible for packing the candy the way that Mars wants it packed. I was a temp in the office, my job was basically the office assistant. Running errands for the office staff and doing some slight PC work. Our office manager was fired due to his mistakes, along with another office worker whom was showing me the PC work, that I am in charge of handling now. I was only taught the very basic elements not ALL OF THE TASKS!! I was hired onto the company the beginning of last month! I have been working 12 hrs a day 7 days a week for the past 2 months. I asked my supervisor last night if I could leave 45 min. early. He clearly stated that all of my work had to be done before I left, which would have took me to the duration of my shift. I stated to him in tears that I was utterly exhausted and was drained. He said I don't know what you are tired from I am doing half of the work that you do not know how to do. Every 5 min of the day an employee needs something for me, a list of packaging a truck to be moved in or out, I have to set up apts, input about 250 code dates into the system through a process of 9 computer operations per job! Print out LP's for the pallets, drop and process the bills to send to the WHSE! This man said to me if you didnt like it then quit!!! So I took my badge and office keys and threw them on the desk. I cleared out my desk and left. He is trying to obtain the position as manager and stepping on everyone to accomplish this! I am treated like crap everyday along with the other employees. On my way home yesterday I received a text message from him saying go home and relax,. jobs like this are stressful and everyone has a bad day. NOW he realizes how much he needs me. I have 2 children whom I barely see anymore. I see them for about 2 hrs then we all go to bed!! I contacted HR and they stated that he has no right to talk to me that way, and that he is dead wrong for what he did. They also stated that working 12hrs a day is not necessary. Now that I went to HR he is going to make my life a living hell because I went over his head!! I stated to HR that I would go back if I can leave everyday at 4pm!! I am currently awaiting their decision. This man is only 30yrs old and acts like a CHILD!!! He was given a little bit of power and it has gone to his head, You can not treat ppl like crap and expect them to work for you and have your back. $13.50 is no way enough for B.S. that I have been put through! It is impossible for only one person to accomplish what I attempt to do in 12hrs let alone move faster as they tell me every 10 minutes of the day!! I need advice on what to do from here please help!! BTW my husband is behind me 100% he works at the same place as I do only in a different part of the building. Please Help!!! All of a sudden he wants to act Professional, what happened to his professionalism last night?
Answer: Wow... I am sorry that you had to endure that. But guess what? It happened and now you move forward! Figure out what your rights are. Are you getting paid by the hour or is it a salaried position? What are they going to do to him now that they know how he has been treating you and spoke to you? What I would really suggest is write down everything you do for a week straight. I mean down to the minute. Put it in a little notebook. That way you can figure out exactly how many jobs you are doing. Alot of times, we end up doing more, because we know it needs to be done and it makes our lives easier.. But the real deal is that a lot of times, we are doing jobs of three to four people when its really looked at. If he is acting professional now, maybe you have a chance to approach him. Is he approachable? Let him know that what you are doing - exactly how many functions you perform. Is HR backing you? You may need to find another job!
Question: Who do I contact at Norfolk Naval Station to report a MA-1 for dishonest/cheating behavior...please read.? He has been married for 18+ years, and me as his fiancee for the past 2 years while he is still married. (He lied when I met him and said he was divorced with 3 kids when actually he was married and has 6 kids.) One of my friends just found his profile on adult friend finder looking to "hook up" once again claiming he is divorced. I guess having a wife and a fiancee was not enough! He's been lying to me the past 2 years and now I understand why as the profile explains it all. When he's not able to be reached he says he fell asleep or he can't tell me what he was doing because of his secret clearance when actually he was having dinner with one of his "new friends."
In the Navy he is a mentor to the lower ranking class and he should not be a mentor to anyone. He is not abidding to the core values charter which reads.
“HONOR”
I am accountable for my professional and personal behavior. I will be mindful of the privilege I have to serve my fellow Americans. I will:
Abide by an uncompromising code of integrity, taking full responsibility formy actions and keeping my word.
Conduct myself in the highest ethical manner in relationships with seniors, peers and subordinates.
Be honest and truthful in my dealings within and outside the Department of the Navy.
Make honest recommendations to my seniors and peers and seek honest recommendations from junior personnel.
Encourage new ideas and deliver bad news forthrightly.
Fulfill my legal and ethical responsibilities in my public and personal life.

Yes, I am angry and very hurt because all of this and I feel he can't be doing this to people. He wasted 2 years of my life when I was 100% faithful to him. He only cares about himself and has no regard for anyone else and it needs to stop.
The part that makes me the angriest is he wont answer his phone. He ignores me so I can't pick up my belongings. I also feel he owes me an apology. It wasn't like he met someone, had too many drinks and it just happened by accident. He was intentionally searching for someone to cheat with.
Please..... no mean responses as I have already been through enough.
Answer: first I dont think you can do anything about it considering your not dependant of him and second IF you can do something about it then you would have to go through his chain of command
Question: what to say when quiting a job? Ok i've just started a new job at a jewellers, i've been there 2 weeks and i just hate it. I feel like i am completely the odd one out and i cant relax or be myself there. The way they do things is totally strange and i have to learn 150 codes off by heart to find stock and i haven't a clue, i'm really getting stressed and panicking knowing i have to go back next week. So everyone has told me it isn't worth it and i have to think about myself if im so unhappy.
So my plan today is to ring up and quit
My problem is
1. Im terribly nervous
2. The lady chose me out of 100 applicants for the job
3. She has spent time training me and it will all have been a waste of time
4. She is a pretty loud and over powering and she has told me that the last girl rang up saying she wasn't happy, and she talked her into staying (and i do not want to be talked back into it)
5. I don't want to sound ungrateful
So yeah basically im pretty nervous about this because i've never quit a job before, especially quite a professional high responsibility one.
Anyone have any suggestions on what i can say?
Answer: Just ask to talk after closing time or during a break.
and be like "thanks again for this opportunity but some personally family stuff has come up and im not sure how long ill be gone"
*hand woman resignation* give her at least 2 weeks or so.
ive had to quit before as well i was unhappy and basically told my boss i had stressfully exams coming up and just need a change and i gave her 2 weeks notice
