Brief
A written summary or statement explaining a particular issue to the judge. In family law cases, this would generally be done as part of a motion or opposition. The "brief" would be your affidavit and memorandum, in which you explained your position and cited any legal authority (such as statutes, rules or case law) that you might have to support your position. You will also file a trial brief shortly before trial.

Question: What is a brief meaning of the first 10 amendments? What is a brief meaning of each of the first 10 amendments? I can't seem to find the answer to each of these. Please help. If you know some, please state them.
Answer: I assume you are talking about the first 10 Amendments to the US Constitution.
They are call the Bill of Rights.
I'm having a hard time believing you can't find "the answer to each of these". You can look any or all of them up at Google, Yahoo, etc. Also I'm certain nearly every library in the country has a copy somewhere of those amendments.
Question: What is the best type of brief/trunk to wear under a velvet gymnastics leotard? Hello! I am a 12 year old girl gymnast from Australia. I am competing this year with a black velvet long sleeve leotard. I was wondering what is the best type of brief/trunk to wear underneath a velvet leotard? Cotton or nylon? Somebody told me nylon but that was under a lycra/nylon leotard. So I was wondering what the best type of brief/trunk is, that I could wear under a velvet leotard and have it not showing! Please answer!
Answer: I hate this problem because then you get worried if your underwear is showing but the solution for me is wearing Victoria secret string bikini underwear or Gk makes briefs just for leotards and I use those for competition and don't have a problem and for practice I wear an string bikini underwear
And many places sell that kind of the string bikini underwear.
Hope this helps you!! also nylon works the best because its smooth and won't get bunched up as much as cotton would!!
Question: What to write in a brief autobiography for Graduate school application? I have to write a 'brief' autobiography for an application to graduate school. I have no idea what should be in said autobiography. What kind of stuff is important, what is not?
Answer: This is similar to the classic job interview question: "Tell us about yourself."
What we are really asking is that you link info about yourself to your interest in our graduate school, your intended program of study, and what you can contribute to the school and the profession.
What was the 'a-ha' moment when you decided you wanted to pursue your profession? Was there an influential person that shaped your life? What is your passion, your goal and your dream? Have you overcome challenges to get this far? Info that transforms pieces of paper, GPA statistics and grades into a real person is what I look for in an application. I don't admit transcripts and letters of recommendations, I admit people!
You don't specify the length requested, but here's what I tell applicants....speak from your heart and the words will flow. Write like you are explaining to your best friend/parent/grandparent why you want to come to the selected school and the grad program. Then, edit your words into a cohesive, tightly written essay until you are happy with it. Don't over think it. Sincerity will come through. If the autobiography is in lieu of an essay, this is your time to shine.
Don't forget to spell check, spell check, spell check and look at its/it's/its' as well as there/their types of errors. I can't tell you the number of typos I find in graduate essays - I count them. In graduate school it is about both content and style. We expect you to know how to write.
What's not important? Anything that detracts from your message, which should be: I want you, this is why and you should want me, this is why.
Good luck to you.

Question: What is a prosecution brief and is it credible? I'm doing a research for my essay and some of the facts are said to be from "statement of facts" from the prosecution brief. So I want to know if this prosecution brief is a credible source?
Answer: It depends on what you mean by credible. If you mean can your rely the information? The extent you can rely on it for a source of information is dependent on the outcome of the case. For example if the court found in favor of the prosecution then it means the statement of fact is correct. However if the court ruled against the prosecution then it means the prosecution did not prove all of the facts it alleged. Alternatively if you mean can you cite as a source of information then yes you can cite it as a source of information.

Question: Is my package almost entirely visible when I wear a speedo brief? What will I do if I get an erection? I am planning to wear a speedo brief this coming october for swimming with my friends. It will be my first time. I have a medium built. Although I am quite nervous because I do not know if the speedo brief would show too much detail. How will I position my penis and what will I do if I get an erection?
Answer: You will have a visible bulge from your balls and penis inside the speedo. But so what, won't show any detail at all, like your ball or penis outline, just a bulge, no different really than wearing any other briefs for tight pants. If you are swimming you won't get an erection, the cold water takes care of that. Plus the pool water takes care of the bulge a lot too, as the penis will stay shrunk up most of the time and the balls will tighten up. If you have the body for it, speedos look fine, and way better than long knee length board shorts.
Question: How do you write an opening brief for appeals court? Im from california and im writing an opening brief to appeal a DMV decision that suspended my license. Does anyone know where i can find examples of "opening briefs" online cuz i cant seem to get any good ones/helpful ones. Let me know!
Answer: I would suggest you go to your local law library and ask the librarian to recommend a book on appellate brief writing for you. I would consult more than one, to see which seems the most understandable and helpful for you.
Question: What does the brief opening scene of Macbeth reveal about the rest of the play? In the very scene of a play, a dramatist must tell the audience what kind of play they are about to see. What does the brief opening scene of Macbeth reveal about the rest of the play?
Answer: Shakespeare sets the scene with the witches, who are obviously supernatural in their powers, and demonstrate their ability to see the future and influence the dealings, hearts, and minds of men.
This sets up the play as being one in which characters and their destinies are shaped by supernatural powers. Just as the witches call upon supernatural forces, so too, Lady Macbeth calls upon "spirits" to "unsex me here" and remove her womanly softness and compassion, and harden her for whatever she needs to do to see Macbeth upon the throne.
Later, Macbeth is haunted by ghosts of those he has killed.
The supernatural themes of the first scene thus flow through the plot of the whole play.
Question: What would you describe as a brief essay? I'm going to Advanced 9th Grade and I have to write an essay for part of some stupid summer homework. The thing is I'm not sure what would be considered a BRIEF essay at that point. I'm used to essays being about 3-5 paragraphs long, but I'm not sure if less than that would be considered an essay as opposed to simply being paragraphs, and thus I need a second opinion. So I'm requesting your assistance.
Aproximately how many paragraphs should be in a BRIEF essay?
Approximately how many SENTENCES should be in each paragraph?
Thank you very much.
Answer: The minimum for an essay is 3 paragraphs, otherwise it's classified as a short answer. For a brief essay, I would say 3 paragraphs - an intro paragraph, main body paragraph, and a concluding paragraph. Good paragraphs should be somewhere in the nature of 7-10 sentences long, with the main body paragraph being on the longer side, since it is your explanatory paragraph.
Question: What is a brief definition of the Platonic Forms? What is a brief definition of the Platonic Forms?

Question: what does it mean when a potential employer wants to have a brief informal interview? Hello, I applyed at a environmental research laboratory as a part time laboratory assistant. I sent in my resume and they responded by asking me to come in for a brief and informal interview. First of all, what does this mean when compared to a formal interview. Also, what type of clothes should I wear. Any other tips you may have would be very helpful, as this is only the second interview I've ever been on, the first being at Target. Thanks:)
Answer: They probably just want to pre-screen and/or get to know you. Some places want to make sure your personality matches the group. I would still dress professionally and bring a copy of your resume. You never know when you're going to need it. Professional dress means a suit, nice pants/skirt, blouse, etc.. A formal interview usually consists of the interviewer asking you various questions related to the job (the interrogation).
You should just be yourself during the interview and be honest. A good recruiter can smell a liar from a mile away. Also, you do not want to get into a job that is over your head.
Question: Brief electrical outages and flickering- what tests can a licensed electrician perform to locate the cause? I had a licensed electrician inspect the circuit breaker box and all connections, buss bars, lugs, checked for ground, signs of water leaks, arcing. He also checked the connections at the utility company's electric meter. What else can be done? The utility company performed a "load-test" on at their electric meter and said there's a bad connection on their equipment in the street. They replaced a part of a cable and said the problem is fixed, but there is still flickering and brief outages in my house.
Answer: I beleive your licensed electrician has checked out your side and found all is proper. Unless he made an error (and we can all miss something sometimes), the problem is still at the Utility side of the feed. Often a utility side fault is at more than one location and a second contact to them may show the weakness.
My suggestion is to contact the Utility again, tell them exactly what your electrician has done, and point out that the problem remains. Almost always they will dig deeper when provided with the data and when it is presented in an objective, neutral manner.
