Answer: A complaint about WHAT? If it's about employment issues such as hours, pay, etc, you have to contact your local labor department office. They will take your information and investigate as needed. The Labor department has the legal power to enforce labor law, including the ability to order payment to employees, and to fine or even jail company officials. For that reason, they are usually quite successful in getting results quickly. If the complaint is unrelated to your employment, but related to consumer issues such as service etc, THEN you can file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Most have numbers you can call, as well as online contacts. The BBB has no actual power to enforce anything, they simply act as mediators and maintain lists of consumer complaints.
