Question: How your decision can be accepted relatively easily? Which of your skills are accepted easily that your decision truly matters for other people?
Or question becomes, how your skills are accepted that your decision truly matters for other people, for their life.
Answer: A little confused with the wording. I am gifted with artistic skills, when people want to decorate something they ask for my opinion. People ask advice about their hair-men and women.
I am also skilled in caretaking and some nursing. People listen when I give medical advice, which is not often and not about serious things because I'm not a doctor.
I also found that people have been telling me that they value my opinion about relationships, friendships, biblical questions, children issues-(which is a little strange because I don't have any yet and everyone tells me I would be a great mother, I'm an adopted aunt to many), I have been told "Your discernment is on point when it comes to what kind of people are around you. I didn't even see that coming!"
I also don't talk about the things others share with me and therefore everyone likes to come to me for advice. They know it's not going anywhere and I'm not going to judge them.
Question: How does Logic affect our decision making skills? What can we do to become better decision makers? Statisticians have sometimes argued that when we make decisions, logic and statistical inference help to ensure that our decisions are almost invariably good ones. Are we more fallible in our decision making than these statisticians suggested? If so, why? What factors can influence our decision making? What steps can we take to become better decision makers?
Answer: Look at it like the proffesional gambler does. They look at process rather than outcome. They look at what cards they have, what cards have already been chosen, the personality of their opponents, how much each one of them bets, how much money everyone has and then make a decision about whether or not they'll stay in and if so, how much money to bet. If this decision was the best they could do based on the information they had at the time, then it was a good decision, regardless of the outcome. They don't go back and think "I should have known that ace was going to be turned over" Because they couldn't have known. All they can know, based on statistics, it the chance that that next card will be an ace. All they can know is that their opponent usually bets conservatively. But maybe he just got a date with a girl and he's feeling saucy today. And if the odds are in their favor, then they have to bet. If they let the fear of being wrong overpower their logic, they will make a bad decision.
Logic is limited because the information we put into the logical machine is always limited or doubtful. And part of making a rational decision is realizing this, that we can almost never be absolutely sure that our decisions will yield the desired outcome, and preparing for the chance that things won't go the way we want them to.
Question: How does the decision of where a band on tour plays get made? Not so much who makes the decision and what's the process, but what data inputs does the decision get based on? The cities and venues that get played - why those places and not others?
Answer: It's based on the bands popularity and ability to sell tickets and make a profit. For example, it would be more profitable to send Metallica to Denver, CO rather than Pueblo. It would be more profitable to send Delta Spirit to Colorado Springs, rather than Denver. It's all about money and popularity.
Question: Is the Decision of the Congress Committee of Telangana the worst after Tughlag's decisions? Mohammed Tughlag is best known for his worst decisions like "Delhi to Daulatabad". Is the decision of the Congress Committee for Telangana is same like that of Tughlag. Seems History repeats itself.
Answer: actually tughlaq was an intellect ,but he failed to apply his knowledge properly .His intentions were good(in shifting capital, that coins decision, etc.)but they backfired . We can't compare the congress with tughlaq......congress is comprised of bunch of true and pure fools !! it is a congress decision...the brainless politicians and useless political party of india.
Question: Compare the decision to drop the atomic bomb on Hiroshima with the decision to invade Iraq? I need to compare the decision to drop the bomb on Hiroshima in 1945 with the decision to invade Iraq. How were these two decisions alike and how were they different?
Any ideas? Thanks.
Answer: Totally dissimilar.
One was to end a war which had been started against the US (funnily enough over oil as Japan didn't have any and the US were enforcing an embargo prior to Pearl Harbour). The other was to wage war on a country which produced oil, whilst interfering in the affairs of an (admittedly unpopular) sovereign nation whom the US had been happy to support through the Iran Iraq War.
There are several other arguments - Truman had the weapon and after spending billions of dollars on it they wanted to know if it worked. They also wanted to demonstrate to their allies (USSR) how things were going to pan out in the post war world (thus precipitating the Cold War, Korea, Vietnam etc etc). There is probably some merit in the notion that the Japanese would not surrender so hastening the war by visiting total destruction probably saved thousands of allied lives. The decision to bomb Nagasaki could well be described as a war crime in other circumstances, if you believe the Japanese were sueing for peace at the time.
There was no United Nations to help resolve the earlier conflict - there might as well not have been with regard to Iraq for all the notice the US took of it. Not that they were alone: as yet again Britannia waives the rules.
Question: What is a corporate decision as relating to what to order at a restaurant? I was hesitating what to order at a restaurant and the waitress was like take your time, it's a corporate decision (i'm not sure if she said decision, but i know she said corporate). What did she mean?
Answer: She has a sense of humour. It always takes time for a corporation to come up with a decision.
Question: How does a business make a decision to replace vehicles? I own a small business that uses vans to deliver products to its customers. One of our vans is 7 years old. I don't know what the correct decision making criteria is. What is the correct financial analysis tool to make this decision?
Answer: Hi there

Question: What do you call a difficult decision with two good outcomes? A dilemma is a decision with two bad outcomes, but what is a decision with two good outcomes called? A win-win doesn't really cover it as not everyone would win. Perhaps this is best described as a trade-off, but it seems this common situation deserves it's own term!
Answer: A dilemma is not necessarily a difficult decision in choosing between two (or more) undesirable results.
A dilemma is any difficult decision
eg. shall I choose the apple pie or the equally delicious cherry pie?
Question: What factors influenced your decision to go to a specific university? I have been accepted in to 3 out of the 5 universities i chose, one of these was a back-up but the other 2 have proven to be a dilemma. The question i have is in your opinion what factors should be paramount in the decision over which university to go to? Any help would be greatly appreciated
Answer: The professors were actually the biggest push in my decision. They were really great and interested in what I was doing, they make plenty of time for me. E mail some of the department's professors from each school, ask questions about the program and what research or whatever that professor is doing. You can tell a lot about them from how and how quickly they respond. It really depends on what field you are going into, but look into how active they are, the department and the professors. You want to see a good number of consistent publications and research.
Question: What is the difference between early decision and early action with college applications? I am really confused with these two terms. I know one means you must attend their school if you apply early and the other is less binding however how do you know if you apply "early decision" or "early action." This is what I am so confused about? So if I already applied to colleges did I use early decision. Uggh. Very confused. Can someone please clarify how you know if you apply either early decision or early action? Thanks!
Answer: The college would ask you if you're applying early decision, early action, or regular decision. If they didn't, then they probably have rolling admissions, which means that once your application is complete, you get accept or denied; this goes on until the school accepts a certain amount of people and cuts off acceptance.
Question: Was the decision to invade Iraq the most important decision the US has made in 35 years? Is there any decision, since Vietnam, that was of equal significance?
Hillary Clinton thinks she voted to send weapons inspectors in, not that she voted for the use of force.
Wasnt this the biggest possible decision she could ever have been involved in? She didnt know what she was voting for?
Answer: Could be...jury's still out. That and siting Pershing missles in Germany which eventually led to the downfall of the Warsaw pact.

Question: What decision do you make as graphic designer as far as selecting images? I know that as a professional graphic designer, you will either create your own images or buy existing images. So my question is: when should you use existing images? and when do you decide to draw your own?? What factors affect your decision?
Also, if you decide to use existing image, how do you find the images that look exactly the same as those in your mind??
It's been confusing me for a long time. I hope you guys out there can help me! Thank you!
Answer: It is ALWAYS dependent on the client's budget. My own illustrations go for nearly $100 an hour, while simple design layouts go for as little as $50 to $60 an hour. If I have clip art or stock photo images available, I can save my clients several hundred dollars in my labor. And, believe me, while I would rather get paid my premium rate for a project, I would still rather get paid something than let a client go.
Some clients are willing to strike a happy medium by paying me to research the EXACT stock photo image, especially if it is of a subject that I cannot capture with my own camera equipment. (inaccesible subject matter or, something, technically beyond my photographic skills)
Remember, that as a pro, it is not what I have in my mind, but what the client has on his mind.
I do advise them that, like most design work, they get what they paid for. Still, at all the payment levels, I give the best if which I am capable, whatever the dollar value of my invoices.

Question: How do you cope with making a very important decision? or a very difficult decision? What has helped you? I am so torn between 2 different paths for my life that I just feel confused and alone. But this decision is not going to make itself, I have to do it, any advice anyone?
Answer: If I ever let me say that again EVER
. . .. ...
Have two choices that are both good ones the only thing I ever do is
.. .. ..
Reach in my right pants pocket and get out a 25c piece
.. .. ..
Make the first choice on the list or the first one always think of first to be the heads on the quarter
.. .. ..
Flip it and catch it and put the quarter on top of the other arms wrist and that is the winner
.. .. ..
For some quark of a who knows how but it is always the one that does the best job
.. .. ..
Like as always been said
Try it you might like it

Heads or Tails you pick

Question: How do you make a decision between two choices? There are two extra cirricular activities that run from the same time and have the same practices and there is NO way i can do both of them. I did both last year as they were in different times and loved each of them, so now i have a really tough decision. How am i supposed to choose between two things that are really important to me? I need decision making tips s'il vous plait!
Answer: Flip a coin.
When the coin is in the air, you'll find yourself rooting for the side that reflects the activity you are hoping for and most wanting to do.
Choose that one.
Best of luck,

Question: What single decision made in America over the last 50 years resulted in a negative outcome? I'm writing an essay for my lit class and I need some help on choosing a piece of history in America over the last 50 years. It needs to be a single decision that was taken without full consideration of consequences that resulted in a negative outcome. I can't seem to think of a good piece of history that has some good evidence. Any help?
Answer: The decision by the Nixon campaign in 72 to play dirty politics, including but not limited to the raid on the Democratic Party office in the Watergate hotel. The intention was to further Nixon's campaign, but the results were the resignation of Nixon, hurting the Republican Party (the party itself wasn't involved), and causing a general distrust of politicians by the public.
The decision to enter into war with the Viet Cong. Surely it seemed like a good idea at the time, to stem the spread of Communism, but thousands of young Americans died, and Vietnam still became a Communist country.
Something in domestic issues, and more recent, is the decision to support "abstinence education" in schools. Studies show that these programs delay the timing for first sex by an average of six months, and are contributing to rising STD and teen pregnancy levels because the programs teach that contraceptives are useless.
Question: How do I make the important decision of whether I should become an organ donor or not? I'm getting my license tomorrow and I've thought for many years if I want to become a donor or not. Part of me wants to but part of me is scared to. How can I chose? I know I don't have to chose tomorrow, and I can anytime I want. I figure, if I'm dead, why should my body just sit in the ground, why not put it to good use?
How can I make this difficult decision? Are you an organ donor? What are your beliefs on it?
Answer: It's a personal decision you have to make your self. We could give you all the reasons in the world why you should, but if you don't want to, you don't have to.
Most people that do, do it to help save other lives after their live is over. As you said, you will just be in the ground, so you won't be using your organs anymore.
Some people don't for varying reasons. Some just never think about it, or they think they still have time to decide. Some do it for religious reason (some religions want to bury the deceased whole). And some just do it because they are selfish.
Me, I'm a donor. I plan on being cremated, so I won't even be sitting in the ground with my organs.
*EDIT* - There is a movie that is some what based on this. If you get a chance, rent the movie "Seven Pounds". It takes this to the extreme, and I don't advocate what he does in the movie (I'm not going to tell, just watch it), but it will give you an idea of just how people's lives can be affected by you being an organ donor.
