Party Parties
The technical legal word for the people who are part of the case and have a right to ask the court to rule one way or another. In family law cases, the parties are usually the people whose names are on the case as either plaintiff or defendant, however other people, such as GALs, may later join the case as parties.
Question: Are the Green Party one global party or individual parties with the same name and similar beliefs? This is something I've never quite been sure of. I always had the impression they were lots of small parties but have never been quite sure and a friend I was speaking to the other day seemed to think they are one big global party with different factions and local leader but ultimately the same thing.
Answer: I believe that "Greens" globally share the same agenda.
Question: Besides having a pampered chef party and toy parties what else is there to do? I've already had a pampered chef party and I don't want to have a toy party. I was looking for other types of parties to have my friends come over and have a little fun.

Question: Why would the bipartisan party prevent third parties from winning the election? The 2 party system (Republican and Democrat) greatly prevents 3rd parties from winning the election.
Why won't third parties get a chance to win?
Answer: Because the repub/democ parties have a monopoly over our democracy.
Question: Are the Democrat Party and Republican parties BOTH enemies of the working class people? I would have asked this a few months ago but the hype about Obama bringing real change to the world diluted the question.
Looking at the track record of both parties, is it safe to assume neither party has your interests in mind?
Obama and Bush are both extensions of the will of the global overclass in their attempt to claim hegemony over all people and resources of the world.
Answer: Yes. The senior members in our Congress are a real problem--both sides. Given that both parties have had decades upon decades to correct what each of them sees as "injustices"...how is it in the new Millenium those issues are still prevalent?? People need to think about that one.
Question: Does anyone have any good sleepover birthday party stories of parties they have thrown? I need some good stories on parties that people have thrown.
Preferably of girls ages 8-15. Like what decorations you used, the invitations you made, the actual party time, food, etc.
I'm planning my girly sleepover and need ideas.
I really need some good stories. I need ideas to plan my party.
Please post stories of your birthday.
PLEASE....
Answer: I went to my friend Autumn's sleepover and we did hair and makeup, ate tons of sweets, and since it was co-ed parrty, we played spin the bottle. Oh the memories....... We ahd a cake eating contest to see who could eat the cake the fastest with their hansds tied behind thier back. We also played manhunt outside. Invite some guy friends over for a few hours and play spin the bottle, then continue your all girl spin the bottle. The first person to go to sleep, smear cake on their face and take a picture.
Question: In CA can one parties attorney cancel mediation w/o notiying other party when other party is from out of town? A "friend" has court ordered mediation in LA County court today. This has been on the calendar since June. He lives in Northern Calinfornia. He showed up for mediation and the other party wasn't there. He was informed by someone at the court house that the other parties attorney cancelled mediation at the last minute without notifying my frien or his attorney. Is this legal when one party has to fly in from out of town?
Answer: Unfortunately it is. It sucks, it happened to me as well, granted I didn't have to fly in, but I did travel hours in a car. It's legal yes, but totally unethical.
Question: If you merged the Democrat and Republican parties into one party, what would it be like? What would a political party combining the best of both parties look like? I think that the animal should either be an Ocelot or a Musk Ox.
Answer: A two headed bull with a very large backside.
Question: What are some 3rd party conservative parties? What are some smaller, lesser known parties that have conservative ideals?
Answer: Libertarian party
Question: Personal Question: Why are YOU afraid to look behind Your Political Parties "Party Line"? I was a staunch party member from 1971 to 2003. I know what it took for me to look behind my parties LINE. Why are you afraid to look behind the facade of your Party?
Any answer that identifies a person or party will get a thumbs down and not even be considered for best answer.
I do not agree with all the answers but because you have followed the rules nobody yet is ruled out for the best answer.
Answer: I'm not sure I know what you mean.
I discovered on a particular issue my party had been lying to me. Initially realizing they're wrong, I eventually concluded they KNOW it and still later found this is the case on pretty-much their entire platform.
The party I affiliate with now (for registration purposes) is far from perfect but I seldom catch them in outright B.S. even though since they allow people "from the other side" into their leadership, you'd think they'd be just as bad.
Question: What is the significance of third parties in the two-party system? What is the significance of third parties in the two-party system, their specific role?
Answer: Hey!
Simply put, third parties have played a significant role in bringing different issues to light. For example, the green party brings up ideas about how to improve the environment.
Really that has been there main role in the two-party system.
Question: Is the Democratic Party or the Republican Party most like the original parties? Neither the Federalist Party nor the Democratic-Republican Party is a clear match to today's two major political parties. After researching the Democratic and Republican parties, which do you think are the most like the original parties?
please help me! if you do, i will be extremely grateful! Thanks so much!
Answer: I'd probably say the Libertarian Party or the Reform Party of the USA are more like the parties of the past
Question: Will the GOP split into two or more parties: a progressive party as well as one adhering to traditional values? Will the GOP stay unified? Or might we see a new party formed out of Republicans who feel the party does not represent their traditional, socially conservative values on "right to life issues" etc?
Answer: the new conservative party will consist of disenfranchised republicans, the non-libtard democrats, and fiscally conservative independents who are intelligent enough to understand that 10 trillion dollars of deficit spending in 10 years doesn't add up.
Question: How can we get the 2 political parties to focus on what our country and earth need and not party interests? I am concerned that our 2 political parties focus almost exclusively on their party lines and their party interests, to the exclusion of a focus on what needs to be addressed in our country and the earth. How can we help them refocus their energies where it can do the most good. We have significant issues facing us as a nation (war, hunger, poverty, polution, the economy). Worrying about how to win seats in congress and how to spin bad news and how best to berate the other party doesn't help any of these issues get addressed.
Answer: start another party that does focus on the real issues and somebody has.www.unity08.com
Question: Who is your favorite party rep?Who embarrasses your party?Who would you like to see change parties? Remember you are choosing people who are in your political party not from the other parties.
1. Who are you most proud to say is in the same party as you?
2. Who are you most embarrassed by in your own party?
3. Who do you wish would change to another party because you do not believe they represent your party well?
4. Who would you like to see defect and come over to your party?
Reminder: Democrats choose democrats, republicans choose republicans and so on for the first three questions.
Answer: 1. Colin Powell
2. The Governator
3. He already left last fall
4. Nothing would tickle me more than if Obama had an epiphany and woke up Republican. LOL
People may be mad at Powell for voting Obama last year, but what would you rather have, a man that usually agrees with you and always speaks the truth, or a man that always sounds like he's agreeing with you because he's been honed by the political operatives?
Holy Cow:
We consider John McCain a moderate. You don't?
Question: How do minor parties work to strengthen two party systems in the US? Please, help answer this question. I am confused about this.
How do minor parties work to strengthen two party systems in the US?
Answer: In my opinion, if there were only two parties all issues in the public arena would not be discussed. Without the Green Party (no matter how little influence they posses) bringing environmental issues to the front ring many environmental issues would go unnoticed. Hope this helps.

Question: Are US conservatives a party that hates parties? Conservatives collectively hate 'collectivism' and want a party to collectively represent the interests of the individual. Don't these principles and interests preclude the formation of a (collective) 'party'? Are conservatives hypocritical or honestly confused?
Answer: Conservatives are aware that they have a mutual interest in smaller government. They're also aware of the difference between concentrated and diffused interests, and that it's not necessary to abandon the larger goals for the sake of semantic purity.
Or, to put it another way, a foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds.
Question: What's the difference between the Tea Parties and the Republican Party? I used to think it was that the tea party didnt care about the social issues and wanted to pull back government spending. Recently I heard an interview on Pat Morrison (an L.A. based talk radio/NPR station) where the Tea Party rep. (not sure which one) was linking conservative economic principals to social issues as well. I dont understand anymore, whats the difference between the Tea Party and the Republican Party? Can you simplify the Tea Party down like that, or is this more complex?
Answer: Fiscal conservatism is SUPPOSED to be a Republican value - hence the Tea Party generally favors Republicans.
BUT ....the Republicans are plagued by RINOs who, fiscally speaking, are nearly as bad as Democrats. Which is why you keep hearing about the 'establishment' Republican being beaten by the Tea Party Republican.
Many fiscal conservatives are mad as hell at the Republicans for letting Democrats spend like idiots. (or even joining them)
There are also many Democrats & Independants who think the Obama, Pelosi, Reed gang is out off control.
And this is the Tea Party. It's just a bunch of people REALLY pissed off about excessive taxation & spending.
Now what makes this a 'Social' issue is the Social spending.
There are people without Health insurance. OK.
Do we raise taxes to buy it for them?
See the Social issure becomes a tax issue.
Are you concerned about Global Warming?
Fine, to we install a massive energy tax to discourage use of fossil fuels?
Again, the 'Social' issue becomes one of taxation.
Do we use tax dollars to:
Save union auto worker jobs?
Get poor people sub prime home loans?
Educate Illegal aliens?
Provide health care?
Extend employment?
Welfare, food stamps, school lunches, urban renewal....
The list goes on and on and on.
You cannot divorce Fiscal Conservatism from Social Liberalism.
