Standing Order

In family law cases, there is usually a local court order that sets out the rules of the case. Different courts have different names for it. Usually it is called the standing order, although it may be called the Domestic Relations Procedural Order. Whatever it is called, you will receive this order when you file your case, at the same time as you receive your summons. It is very important and you should read it carefully. Most significantly, it usually prohibits either parent from removing any minor child(ren) from Alaska or selling marital property without the opposing party's agreement or the court's approval. Violating this order is as serious as violating any court order. Be sure you understand what it says. To learn more, please read the Domestic Relations Procedural Order (Standing Order) section.

Question: Standing Order? I pay by Standing Order for my Internet Provider but today I have found out the bank has been paying the standing order to a different ref. number and not the reference number that my Internet Provider gave them. So I owe money to Tiscali and it's not my fault. I have to go to the bank today. Do I ask to see the manager? and has anyone else had similer problems. Thanks Tina

Answer: Just go to your bank and request every payment they made to a wrong account. Then contact that place where the payment went and request credit from them. You may have a fight if you have paid them for along time to get your funds. Make sure all conversations are followed up with a letter stating what was talked about. I am going to grad school and my paper is about banks.. please help me and take my survey. Thanks. http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=813093871217
