Question: Can a criminal trial bring in statements of the accused from a civil trial? As in the case of Casey Anthony in Florida. If she were to appear and answer questions in the civil lawsuit against her for deflaming the character of Zenaida Gonzalez, could her answers be used against her in the criminal trial for the murder charges that she is up against? My understanding is that one cannot enter testimony from one jurisdiction into another jurisdiction's hearings. Am I correct?
Answer: No, you are wrong, testimony given under oath is admissible against the person in another proceeding.
And, is she says that she lied then she could be prosecuted for perjury for the testimony.
Good Luck

Answer: It acts as a catalyst for the entire of Maycomb. It forces Dill, Jem and Scout to grow up and accept their place in the town and not be judgemental, for instance not to judge Mayella for trying to seduce Tom and when Scout sees Boo and is very lady-like. It highlights the racism in Maycomb as Scout's teacher, who is against persecuting Jews, sides with Stephanie. It also highlights the people in Maycomb whom Scout can trust such as Miss Maudie and even Aunt Alexandra. It also shows that although Maycomb won't aquit Tom, they still side with Atticus because they know the truth. Bob Ewell doesn't understand this because he wants Maycomb to accept him and as they side with Helen ( Link Deas gives her a job and looks after her ) he starts his vendetta against Atticus. It show Atticus' understanding of Maycomb ( He accepts all the gifts and when he goes to tell helen about Tom's death, he takes Calpurnia. )

Question: How do you calculate the adjusted trial balance? and what parts you don't calculate from the trial balance? I am just trying to understand this accounting procedure. I need an example of a trial balance and basically I am looking for the adjusted part of the trial balance and how to calculate it (the part that comes last after all the adjustments are made.) Thanks, I hope someone can help.
Answer: When the adjustments are made, there is always a debit to an expense account and a credit to an asset, contra-asset, or liability account. For all the debits, just add them to the same account that is on the trial balance. For example, if the Supplies Expense on the trial balance is $50 and the adjustment is a debit of $25 to Supplies Expense, the adjusted trial balance would show a debit of $75. For the credits, you would subtract them from the assets or liabilities. This will cause you to end up with either a debit or a credit balance for the adjusted trial balance, depending on which account it is. Accounts such as Accumulated Depreciation and Wages Payable should always carry a credit balance. As far as the parts you don't calculate, if you don't have an adjustment to an account, just move the amounts over from the trial balance to the adjusted trial balance. Good luck

Question: The famous Zenger trial was important because it established the principle of? The famous Zenger trial was important because it established the principle of
A. habeas corpus.
B. search and seizure.
C. freedom of the press.
D. freedom of religion.
Answer: C. Before this trial truth was not a defense against libel. Even if something written and horrible was true the writer was still guilty of libel and subject to imprisonment and fines. After the Zinger verdict truth became a complete defense for libel charges. This precedent held for England too, not just the colonies.
It is hard or impossible to pick out the one leading factor leading to the War of Independence but th Zinger trial was very important because it let a lot of anti British sentiment be published that otherwise would not have been.
Question: How does criminal trial impact if suspects hired teams of lawyers? Let say a low profile case, it's felony case but low profile. Let say the suspect who is on trial does hired a teams of lawyers. Maybe 10 defense lawyers work with suspect because he is wealthy. How does prosecutor handle this? Will prosecutor hire even more teams with tax payer money? Or prosecutor will dismissed the case because can't afford court costs?
Answer: If they want to blow money on bottom feeders, oh sorry, I mean lawyers, let them do so.
A Prosecution doesn't have to match the defense team one on one, the law doesn't work that way.
A team of lawyers is only relevant if there are different facets of the law involved. Say that the accused is charged with fraud, theft, assault and vehicular fleeing, he might have a specialist lawyer in each type of crime to handle the various witnesses and evidence.

Question: Would the use of coercion to prevent a jury trial be considered a legally valid practice? Not looking for a detailed answer based on a particular scenario, just wondering in general if a court could use coercion to prevent a jury trial? Examples would be threatening jail vs no jail, increased fines, etc.
Not talking about plea bargains, only bench trial vs jury trial.
Answer: In most cases any coercion of any sort is not a valid practice. In most situations a judge will ask if any promises or coercion were used in getting an agreement.
Question: What they do with returned from the trial period sleep number beds? The select comfort and/or sleep number bed companies offer free 30 day in home trial of their mattresses. I'm curious as to what they do with the mattresses that are returned at the end of that trial period. Do they sell them at a discounted price? Outlet store? Clearance Center?
Answer: Hi
According to the health regulations in my state.. they would have to remove all cloth, or fabric materials and all new materials would have to be used before resale.... The plastic, vinyl or rubber would have to be sanitized... My guess is that it may be cheaper for them to dispose of them, or donate them to a worthly cause..
I wonder how many of these beds are actually returned under the 30 days trial option...
Question: How to remove free trial softwares string code via registry? Nowadays freewares are seldom to be met and many reliable softwares need money. So, withoutwasting my money, I need to learn to turn sharewares into freewares. I heard somebody said you can remove string code of free trial softwares so that you can use it again and again. Can you teach me how to remove string code via registry.
I need step by step guide.
10 points for best answer.

Question: How far prior to a trial do they typically subpoena people? I have been planning a trip over this next weekend (leaving Oct. 18 morning). But I also know of a trial which I may be subpoenaed for as a character witness. Would they have done it by now if they wanted me?
The trial is during my trip which is why I ask.
Answer: Depends on the court.
Usually it will be from 15-30 days.
Why don't you do this, ask them to issue the subpoena anyway and see if they really need you. If they don't, they will simply say no to it.
And you will probably free.
