Age Of Majority

The age of majority is the age at which an individual is considered an adult and responsible for your actions in the legal sense.

Question: Is it possible to get a visa card in canada if im under majority age? I want to get a visa card of some kind so i can spend it online..i have money saved up but i just never use it cuz i dun have anything to buy at the mall or anything. i wanna buy stuff online but paypal wont accept my debit card. they accept visa though but im under majority age. 19 in my province.

Answer: Well, you just admitted that you're under the majority age for your province/territory, so I think it's highly unlikely that you would be approved for a credit card. Other than your time, there's nothing to lose by trying to apply for a credit card, either through your bank or a more generic company (such as MBNA Canada). Added: This is what I found in the FAQ section of MBNA Canada's web site: "To apply for a card, you must have reached the age of majority in your province of residence and be a Canadian resident." So, I think you'll have to wait a bit longer, sorry.
