Answer: They are just like anyone else. They take birth control, and practice safe sex. Most do both, to prevent pregnancy AND STDs. Accidents happen.

Answer: Deciding to have sex is a responsibility. If you want to have sex without having a baby, you have to get educated on what that involves. You must decide on a reliable form of birth control to protect you, her, and any unwanted children. If you can't commit to that, you should take some time to mature a little more. Answer: Most kids are going to have sex. The only people I knew who practiced abstinence were extremely religious and were brought up hearing that sex was bad from early on. I think we need to teach safe sex and do a better job at it. Have you ever read the Women's Health or STD section on here? It's scary that 14 yr olds worry about being pregnant or having an STD. It's like they have no clue that pregnancy is 100% preventable and so are a lot of STDs. They act first, then worry about it later. We need to get out there and do a better job at educating them. With TV, music, movies, peer pressure etc, I just don't think expecting teens to be abstinent is realistic.
