Question: How much does the finalization of an adoption usually cost? Our agency doesn't include the finalization fee in it's cost. I'm wondering how much this usually is?

Answer: court costs alone? ours were $190 or so, then there are attorney fees and it was about $1200 (for finalization only).

Answer: The agreement will probably go through as is. Custody agreements are not chipped in stone, he can renegotiate after the divorce is final.

Answer: if everything else is OK, a bad credit report would be a bad reason to not approve an adoption. tell them you are working with someone to "clean up your credit". that will made you look honorable.

Answer: A bill of sale stating the VIN, and description of the car, sales amount and date. If any promises or claimes were made about the car you want the seller to back up, get them in writing now. You need the title to the car, signed off by the seller. You need a receipt for the money you give him, noting that the car has been paid in full, no more monies due. And you need your mechanic, not an "experienced brother" to look the car over before any of this. Your brother may be experienced. Maybe hes a swell guy. But he didnt run a compression test, check for signs of improper repairs or neglected maintenance. Your brother probably doens't have the equipment necessary to check a car properly before you buy it. So get a mechanic on it BEFORE you sign. Because once you sign, you own the car and all its problems. Should it break in half on the way home, you own both halves.

Question: How to undo a mini DVD finalization? I recently finalized a mini DVD on my videocam but I want to undo it to erase some video files in it. Is it possible to undo the finalization without the videocam to delete those files?

Answer: You'll need to rip the DVD with a program like Handbrake, remove the unwanted video, and burn a new DVD. You can't do anything about the one you already have, except maybe shred it later. That'll get rid of the unwanted stuff.

Answer: It says some data might be missing but you can put it back in to finalize it. When you finalize a disc, it makes it possible to play in other devices. It will always play in the dvd recorder, in fact, if your reusing the disc, you don't have to finalize it but you will have to format it when it gets full. Formatting will erase a dvd-rw disc.
