Question: Credit Card fees on a Sunday billing date, when they won't let me transfer funds on a Sunday? My delightful friends at Chase hit me with a Sunday billing date on my credit card account. But they won't let me transfer funds between my Chase accounts on a Sunday. So I got hit with a late fee and interest charges for paying off my balance on Monday. In other words, they are able to process their fees on a Sunday, but they can't process the customer's electronic fund transfers. Has anyone else run into this? It is certainly a lousy way to do business, and poor customer relations... Is it even legal?
Answer: They can do whatever they want that's the problem. Ive heard a lot of these types of stories lately. It seems with the economic times credit cards are becoming more shady with their business. Ive started having problem were they purposely don't process my payment on time even though it says they will on their payment schedule. Then charge a late fee. Best advise pay your bill at least week ahead of the due date.
Question: how much time does an electronic funds transfer take in britain and within the same city?

Question: Details of all the parties in an Electronic Funds transfer.? When a bank/financial institution transfers funds through SWIFT, what are all the possible parties (intermediaries) who can be part of this transfer?
For instance, a bank in US wants to transfer funds to a bank in Iceland with which it doesn't have an account. What are the possible ways in which this can be done? And how would the intermediate parties do it? What role does SWIFT play in this?
What I meant was you have intermediaries like Account with Institution, Beneficiary Institution etc. There are many more intermediaries. What are these and what do they stand for?
HELP please. I need some more details on the intermediaries and how it works.
Answer: The parties are
* millions of hackers trying to steal the money by various means
* the company that is making the payment, and the employees involved in authorizing it
* the bank THAT company uses to make such transfers
* the company that is to be paid
* the bank THAT company uses to receive such transfers
* the governmnents of both countries, that want to make sure nothing illegal going on, like funding terrorists, and also want to make sure all the right taxes get paid
* whatever intermediate banking institutions are agreed to by the banks at both ends to make this work
* other nations military intelligence community trying to keep track of money being transferred around, in case they think it is going to fund terrorism, or is something they can grab in a cyber war

Question: does td ameritrade allow outgoing electronic funds transfers? been looking around for a online broker that would allow me to quickly transfer money from my bank accounts to the broker accounts without wire transfers or checking writing, it seems
e-trade is the only one so far. Fidelity im not so sure about but it did mention something about outgoing funds transfers. So i've been curious about td-ameritrade...
Thanks for any answers
ya i've read about that possible merger, but its still up in the air it seems, td is more geared to low rates on commissions and e-trade is focused on expanding more than just it's brokerage business. However, td has been thinking of expanding it's operations from just low commissions as well. it would be interesting to see if that merger does go through, it would surpass charles schwab in terms of market share.
anyhow yes on to my question hehe,...so it seems both fidelity and td-ameritrade both allow outgoing and incoming electronic transfers.
Answer: Although I have not used that service, it is available at their web site. They have a selection for electonic transfer both in and out.

Question: How long does it take to receive an approved EFT (Electronic Fund Transfer) payment from the fed. government?
This is not a tax return question, but for payment owed in a legal case, greater than 100 grand.
Answer: All EFT's are processed through a uniform network, so the standard is 7-10 business days, but generally its really only like 5. FedGov works a bit slower, only because of high volumes they process. so if they give you the processing date, then it should be no different than the time frame i mentioned.
Question: How long will it take for my electronic fund transfer i made to be available? where i sent it
Answer: It usually takes 2-3 days to clear all depends who and what you are dealing with
Question: How long does an electronic transfer take? My boyfriend owed me money so he did an electronic transfer of funds on Sunday. It's Wednesday and the money still hasn't arrived - I thought this process was same day/ next day service. I could have had him physically write a check and taken it to my bank on Sunday & the check would have posted on Monday. What gives?
The problem is, I use my debit card for everything so when I made 4 purchases yesterday totalling $50 that SHOULD have been there, but isn't because of my boyfriend's retarded bank - I'm getting screwed out of $144 in bank fees for PENDING transactions - RIDICULOUS!
Can I do anything to get reimbursed from HIS bank since they're sitting on my money?
Please - don't bother telling me I should have checked my account before spending money. There was money in the account yesterday but a check cleared last night - which wouldn't have been a problem if the transfer happened 2 days ago like it was supposed to.
What do I do now?
I DO have overdraft protection, it just costs $36 every time I have to use it - hence the problem. I'm paying $144 to cover 4 charges totalling $50 when the funds should have been transferred 2 days ago.
So he typed the wrong account number in when he transferred the funds (online). HIS bank took the money out of his account and didn't bother to tell him they've been just holding his money in limbo for 4 days. WTF??
Answer: An electronic transfer happens in 24 hrs since he did it on sunday (if he did it) then it should be in your account on monday. It also depends on if your bank participates in ACH or not. There will be an ID attached to the transaction if you can get that from his bank and request your bank to release funds based on that. You can even have your bank speak with his bank's ACH Department to verify if the transaction was funded by his account. Your bank may be able release funds to you based on that. In the end major question is did your boyfriend make a transfer or not??????
Question: What states have law enforcement rangers? I need a list of all the states that have "Law Enforcement Rangers" v.s a list of all the states that use either park police or local police to enforce state park laws and regulations.
And any other information about State Park Law enforcement, environmental law enforcement (academys, degrees, positions) would be helpful. Thanks.
I am looking for states whose Park Rangers have FULL powers of arrest and state wide jurisdiction. Sworn in officers that carry a gun.
Answer: I know that Arizona, California and Texas use rangers. Hope that helps.
Question: What law enforcement divisions take carry out drug raids? The big drug busts you see on TV, where law enforcement swarms a house with guns drawn- what sector of law enforcement is that? Is it SWAT, DEA, FBI, or just local cops? I'm writing a story and I want to be accurate.
Answer: It can be any of the groups that you mentioned or a combination of two or more of them. SWAT teams are often made up of "just local cops" who have special training. Many times large drug cases are investigated by a drug task force which is frequently made up of officers from state and local law enforcement agencies as well as members of some federal agencies. A SWAT team is usually called in when information is received showing that there is a greater than typical likelihood of violence.

Question: What happens when we tighten enforcement of illegal immigration? What would happen if we tightened our enforcement of illegal immigration? What would happen to people working here? If we took their opportunities away, would they turn to less honorable work?
Answer: Most immigrants are here for the advantages. Why would they put up with 'us' otherwise? I don't want to be part of slave labor, induced by employers who hire illegals on the cheap and yet charge the consumer the same as if they were paying a livable wage to their employees. Bring the manufacturing sector back to the US and then make the employers prove their employees can work here legally.
Question: How do you create law enforcement in an anarchist state? I was just wondering, cos I know there have been a few anarchist states. How do you create law enforcement in a socialist libertarian state?
Answer: Well in anarchism there is no government thus no law enforcement.
But in a socialist libertarian state, people could either buy police protection from the government or from private corporations.
The government would put up bounties where vigilantes or drunks would catch the criminals for the reward. The free market takes effect, those who work the best and the fastest at catching the criminals will get the rewards.

Do administrative enforcement agencys have the ability to use discretion if a law is being broken and their is proof of it or are they obligated to enforce action?
Who should I contact in the nashville tn area?
Do I need standing in this matter?
Answer: You do not need standing to make a complaint. But you do need standing to make the determination of "imminent harm." That's not your determination to make.
Call a lawyer.
Question: What looks better on a law enforcement resume, non-profit working with volunteers vs security guard? I have a four year degree in History and an associates in criminal justice. I've been going through the hiring process for many different agencies including local, state, and federal. I currently have a job as a traditional security officer, but was offered a job at the local rescue mission running the mail room. The mail room organizes everything to do with the donation letters to be send out and leads volunteers in helping get the work done. I'm not sure which one would look better on a resume for law enforcement.
Answer: Both would look good. I would continue your current job because as another poster indicated, employment stability and work history can be very important. Security work is more related to police work. Volunteer work also looks very good on resumes. Consider doing something once a week such as being a big for Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Question: What is a good degree to have for law enforcement? I am kind of thinking of a career in law enforcement and I have heard Criminal Justice is useless because you pretty much learn that type of thing in Police Academy and on the job. So does anyone have any other degrees that would be useful for law enforcement?
sorry for the two identical topics, didnt mean to.
Criminal justice isnt required in many agencies though..
Answer: Sorry, CJ is the preferred degree. Yes it is pretty much useless but you need the 2 or (preferably) 4 year degree just to get in. That piece of paper is your pass key to get into the front door.
Question: What are some of the different jobs in law enforcement and what is the likelihood of getting one? I was thinking about what I should be when I'm an adult and it came to 2 choices, the medical field or law enforcement. My sister tells me that it's easier to get a job in the medical field, is this true? Also, aside from the obvious (police officer), what else is their to be in law enforcement? Thank you.
Answer: Its definitely not easier to get into the medical field versus the law enforcement field. You could go to medical school anywhere from 5-12 years depending on what exactly you want to do. Law enforcement for the most part requires little or no schooling because all the training you need you get at the academy. Also for the most part everyone starts out as a Police Officer, then once they gain experience and on the job skills they can be tested into other areas of law enforcement.
