On average, how much is the hospital bill when you have the baby and all, if you have no insurance ?
How much would the baby shots and doctor visits for the first 6 months be, if you had no insurance?
Answer: Most hospitals take all state insurance, however you should call and check with the hospital. You have to be 18 to get regular private insurance, however no age limit on medicaid.
Your hospital stay, the babies (billed separately) $7-14k, plus around 3k in doctor fees.
Dr fees for newborn with shots for 6 months $1-3k, it's expensive and with no insurance they can charge all they want.
Question: How does the driving test work in OHIO ? I would like to know :
1. What do they check during the Vehicle Safety Check?
2. What should I do to pass the first time?
3. Any tips on the manuverability section?
Please & Thank You (:
Answer: 1. After you have developed your road skills, contact the Ohio Driver's License Examination Station (see Ohio County Lists) to schedule a road test. You must take your Temporary Instruction Permit Identification Card (TIPIC).
2. If you're under 18 years of age, you must also bring a Driver Education Certificate.
3. You must furnish your own car and it must be in good condition.
4. The road test has 2 parts: driving test and maneuverability test.
5. After you pass the driving and maneuverability tests, proceed to your local deputy registrar's office to have the driver license issued. You will be required to surrender the TIPIC at the time of the driver license issuance. Refer to Driver License Fees for cost information.
Driving Test
This examination consists of a test of the applicants driving skill. You must furnish the vehicle for your driving test and it must be in safe operating condition. The examiner will inspect your car before giving you the test. You will perform a number of tasks such as:
1. Stopping and starting;
2. Turning around and backing up;
3. Making proper left and right turns;
4. Giving hand signals or using mechanical turn signals;
5. Driving in the proper lane;
6. Maintaining a safe following distance.
Note: Buckle your seat belt and keep both hands on the steering wheel while testing.
Passing Score
Applicant will be considered to have passed this portion of the examination provided he does not receive a minus score in excess of 25 points.
See the third site below for the Maneuverability Test. It was a little much to cut and paste here. Hope this helps you.
Question: How do contingency to real estate purchase agreements work in Ohio!!? My husband and I are in process of buying our first home, in our purchase agreement we added the contingency that the seller would pay for new furnace andnew central air, my question is this , will the seller simply give us this money at closing or will she herself do the repairs, and they will be doen within a certain time of us moving in? We were really hoping to have someone we know do the work, as we were comfortable with them,,an and the money we had asked for was comparable to a estimate that they had given us. So we were just wondering how this would all work out in the end,,thanks for any answers!!!
I guess I should add, I am waiting for my realtor to call me back, but se has been less than stellar during this process, so I was just trying to get some ideas until I heard from her!!!
Answer: The details of this should have been a part of the negotiations and should be in the contract. It can happen in a reduction of the sales price also, which then means that you will have to come up with the money to do the repairs, but will be purchasing the home at a lesser price.
The money can be taken out at closing and escrowed until the repairs are completed and then paid directly to the contractor performing the repairs.
The current owners can do the repairs with a contractor of their choice unless it is in the contract that they use the company that you are comfortable with.
Check your contract for the exact wording of the contingency and you should have your answer.

Question: Should I get my job permit first or start applying first? Do I need to get my job permit from my school first stating that I am eligible to work. [good grades, good attendance, of age, etc.] Or do I apply for jobs first, and once I'm hired get the permit for the employer to sign off on?! I live in Ohio, in case that has anything to do with how work permits are given out. Thanks so much!
Answer: Get it first -that way you do not have to make your future employer wait for you to start...make sense?
Question: My permanent residence is in Ohio, but I'm working in CA for 3 months. Should CA tax be taken out? Okay, so my permanent residence is in Ohio, but I'm doing a 3-month internship in CA. I got my first check today and they took out CA tax, but not Ohio. I was sure to put my Ohio address on my W4, but HR changed it (without my knowing I might add) to the address of the apartment they are providing me.
In the past I have lived in Ohio and worked in WV. I always paid OH tax not WV. Moreover, I had a job in PA, and paid OH tax, not PA. So, since I am a resident of Ohio, I'm thinking OH taxes need to be taken out, not CA.
Also, did HR have a right to change my address without asking me? I signed my name to that form, and they changed what I wrote without consulting me... that doesn't seem legal.
Answer: Yes and you won't have Ohio tax taken out during that time. You must pay taxes in the state you are working in.
Question: Whats a good realtor to work for in Ohio? Im 18 and just starting who would be a good first choice for me to start for? I have real living and keller williams ready to sponser me already. Im just looking for the best one for a newcommer.
Answer: I had the same dilemma when I started selling. I made the mistake of going to a small company where I felt I would not be overwhelmed. The only thing I got there was greedy coworkers and no help. As time went on, I realized that the best companies to work for in real estate are the biggest and best. More help, more traffic, less greed and you learn something every day just be being there.
If Keller Williams is the biggest and best in your community, go for it, otherwise, keep looking!
Question: Gift tax laws in Ohio, how EXACTLY does this work? My mom gave me a car for a going away to college present. I still have a thirty day tag on it, but it expires soon. When I bought my first car I had to pay taxes on it when I got my hard tags, however, my boyfriend told me this time I won't have to pay taxes because the car was a gift. I tried to search it online but it's all legal talk and I can't understand it fully. So, because my mom gave me the car I don't have to pay taxes. Who pays the taxes, my mom? If so when does she pay them because we've paid for the car but no one has paid taxes yet. It said online that there is something on your taxes you have to file. Does that mean the taxes on the car won't be due until tax return time?
Answer: Gifts are never taxable to the person receiving them, so you won't have to pay income or gift taxes for receiving the car. You will however have to pay excise taxes on being the new owner of the car, and the excise taxes will be based on the value of the car. Excise taxes are not exempted due to receiving a car as a gift.
Question: How do I request a paternity test in the state of Ohio? I was getting married to this girl from Ohio and things didn't work out, but now I found out she is pregnant and saying it is this other guys. We did not end on a good note and I think she is telling this guy it is his, just to keep me out of her life. The reason I wonder if it is mine, is because we had a boo boo, she missed her period, and then she had this talk with me right before we went our own ways. She asked me what if I were to get pregnant and things didn't work out? I told her that unlike my father I would like to be a part of my childs life and she told me that she is afraid that I would want custody and she would never allow that. I din't think twice about it until someone told me she was pregnant and that is when I asked her. First she wouldn't say, but now it is no. I asked for some kind of medical proof that this guy she was dating for not even a month is the father ( we were little over two years). She told me that she wouldn't give me any medical record proof.Plz help
Answer: i wish there were more men out there like you at least you are trying to take responsibility for a child who may be yours but you dont want to take the risk of the child being yours and you not doing anything. I do commend you on that.
If the mother is not willing to have this done it may need to be court ordered. To find out more about having this test required by the court please consult with a local attorney who specializes in custody, paternity, and child support cases. I hope that this information will be helpful in your attempt to resolve this situation.
good luck

Question: Marijuana Laws in Ohio state that you do not receive any criminal punishment for under 100 grams of marijuana? Does this apply only for the first offense? Or if you get caught with 100 grams or less more than once, the penalty goes up from there. Just curious as to how this works.

Question: How much is reasonable for a" work from home staffer" for a Nursing Agency/Registry in Ohio? I recently took a job for a nursing agency/registry in Ohio in which I am on-call from 5pm- 8am the next day. They pay me $35 for the whole time. They told me not to answer the phone after midnight and then wake up at 5 am to deal with all the voicemails and provide staffing. I am exhausted after 2 days of doing this job and I am just wondering if anyone else has ever done this job and how much they got paid. They told me the phone may never ring but this has not been true the first two days. The phone has been ringing constantly and I spend 2 hours at a time and then I am up till midnight and back up at 5 am calling everyone to try and get nurses to staff these places and no one calls me back. Thanks for helping me!!
Answer: You have a tough job. Trying to find staff personnel to fill positions in itself, is difficult. Then, yeah, you have to deal with the phone calls. But, there will be times that the phone won't ring in the middle of the night. Since you just recently started this job, there are still things that you may not be familiar with. As you gain experience, you will be able to know who is reliable in agreeing to work a shift. If you cannot fill a position and tried all options then, there really isn't anything else that you can do. As long as you do the best that you can, then so be it. You can't make people call you back and you cannot always be able to fill positions. Yeah, not easy. But, I think that the pay that you are getting is pretty good. Just hang in there and, in time, you will be able to handle the difficulties of your job. I hope that this helps and Good Luck.
Question: Will I get money back for paying taxes in 2 states? I live in Ohio, and work in Indiana. I just got my first check today, and both Ohio and Indiana taxes were taken out. Will I get my tax money from Indiana back when I file in 2010, or can that go to Ohio as a credit towards anything I may owe?
Answer: You should only be having Ohio tax withheld.
Ohio and Indiana have a reciprocal agreement where residents of one state working in the other only pay tax to the state where they live. You will have to file a tax return with Indiana with a statement stating that no Indiana tax was due and that anything that was withheld should be refunded.
Around fifteen states have a similar agreement with some of their neighboring states.
Question: Can I sue a company for breaking their promise on hiring me? I had an interview for a job in Ohio. The company told me I had the job. So I sold my house in Michigan and moved to Ohio. On the first day of work I was informed by the supervisor that unfortunately due to a downturn in the business, the board of directors has refused to authorize any new hires. Can I sue this company? If so, what can I sue them for?
I had an interview with this company and the guy clearly told me that I was hired. And he told me the day I would start.
Answer: only if yu have something in writing .. then you could sue them but more than likely you will not get anything
