Answer: Probably child abuse, because that's about the only sure-fire way for a man to get custody of his child, if the mother is thought to be an abuser of the child. So I'd imagine that's what some men use. I'm kind of shocked though. You say that women never make false accusations (or sure seem to imply it), but you sure do accuse men of doing it all the time.

Answer: I would label them equal, particularly if the rape was brutal and the man accused of rape was placed in prison. I have been raped, twice, but never accused of it. I have defended men falsely accused and if it goes to trial and the defendant doesn't get off in the first trial then it gets really tricky. I try to tell men that they should avoid unstable women who might agree to sex and then maybe lie about it later. Doing this USUALLY prevents this from happening. But if a man has a criminal record and he fits a profile then he needs a good attorney fast. In most areas they test the DNA from the rape kit so this exonerates many men from the start, but cases prior to this have lots of problems and it can be murder trying to get an appeal or a conviction overturned.

Answer: Ohh, that lie was fabricated by the same people that McCain hired for this campaign, ironically. That lie was thrown into the South Carolina race by the then Bush and Cheney team of dirtbags. Nothing against southerners, but that type of attack is devastatingly effective down there.

Answer: It was obviously malicious if they havent even had to ask you for your side of the story. But i would go see your local citizens advice bureau and see what they can do for you.

Answer: It could be argued that there is no substantive difference between the two terms. There is, but it's very subtle. An "allegation" is a statement asserting wrongdoing without proof. An "accusation" is simply the assertion of wrongdoing. EDIT: Scooby: The point is not necessarily that the "accuser" has proof of his accusation. Even a person making an allegation may think s/he has proof but that proof may not hold up to legal or logical scrutiny. The point is that the nuances distinguishing the two terms are in the words themselves, not in who may be making the allegation or accusation.

Answer: I would try to convince them that reporting a false rape is as bad as rape itself, it is an emotional kind of rape. I'd try to reason with them and ask them why they want to ruin a person's life and reputation. I'd try to make them understand what rape really is and how terrible it is. It's not something you can lie about just to be vindictive.
