Answer: SHE needs to do what is best for her and her child. Childbirth hurts like H@ll. It does not benefit either the mother or the child for the mother to suffer. Cruise is not the one giving birth so he needs to keep his trap shut and let her do what she thinks is best. Epidural is a good thing! In the childbirth class that my husband and I took before our daughter was born, there was a couple where the husband took this same kind of stance. I saw the Woman about a month later and she looked like she had been run over by a truck. So, who did his stance benefit? Not his wife!

Answer: If you a re legally married, then you are married. The W4 is so that the employer knows how much tax to withhold from your pay. You do not have to mark married with X dependents if you don't want to. By selecting Single, all you are doing is having your employer withhold more money. A lot of married people do this for the simple reason- they have taxes withheld as Single & on their 1040's they file as Married & since too much tax was taken out- they get a nice refund check from Uncle Sam.

Answer: As long as your wife is here in the USA you can file everything at the same time to the Chicago Lockbox. The only thing I don't see in your form list is the I 131 - travel permission. Now if your wife is already here in an L1 or H1B visa then travel permission isn't really needed, but you pay for it upfornt with the fee for the I 485 so why not file it anyway.... it costs you the same it you file the I 131 or don't file it basically.
