Custodial interference in New York state is a felony if your father is taking your sister out of the state. Answer: I'd say that probably 99.9% of abductions are preventable. Most of the time it's just the dumb a*s parents not watching their kids. but sometimes, rarely, there are kidnappers who do strategic planning to take a child, and think about how to get a round all of the protections that parents have for their child.

Answer: I would hope that the local authorities as well as the FBI are involve in this! If not, they should be. They certainly have the means to acquire information and to check various other things to make sure these people don't leave the country --- maybe even put the men's names on a Watch List or No Fly List at the airports. Also, maybe contact locat TV stations and they can put a picture of the boys on TV for people to call in if they've seen them someplace. What a terrible story. So sorry.

Answer: there is and it would be tried at a county court. there are 2 types of abduction : 1. Not being connected ( related ) to child. 2. being connected.

I remember reading about a case in America recently where a boy was found after being missing for several years, and then there was the case of Natascha Kampusch, but how often are missing children found safe and well ? Are there any cases that could give us hope for missing children like Madeleine or Yeremi Vargas (gran Canaria) ????

Answer: there was that little boy abducted in the 70's from the doorstep while playing with his brother. He was found after 8 weeks alive and well in a house which had previously been searched......the mother was talking about this in the first week that madeleine went missing. so there is hope yet

Answer: If you have a residence order for the child and the father is prohibited from having contact then the father is in breach of the Order of the court and committal procedings for breach would ensue. The brother-in-law is an accessory and consequently could be guilty of child abduction ( a criminal offence) and it would be a matter for the police to pursue. If no court order exists but there has been no contact thenthe position is slightly more complex and would need to be addressed through the Children Act 1989 (no such thing as child abduction act)! Nine times out of 10 the antagonist has always been abused themselves as a child. Why is this? Calling all Freuds!

Answer: It is true you are going to see a correlation between child abusers and having been abused as a child. This correlation makes a lot of sense when you think about it. If someone is abused (especially over long periods of time during their childhood and by someone they trust) they will have learned these behaviors. They have not only learned the behaviors (as in how to perform sexual acts, deviant or not) but also learn that these acts are "appropriate." Even knowing later in life these actions are not appropriate does not diminish the feeling they are correct in everyone. In the case of pedophiles (and not molester because there is a huge difference!) they have an attraction to children and literally want to have a "relationship" with the child (including a sexual relationship). Right or wrong, this is not in question. The issue is that a pedophile relationship is destined to be doomed because children grow up and the this attraction for the child goes not grow with them. But also consider it may seem even more dynamic a relationship (an abuser who themselves were abused) because this particular storyline is more sensational and more likely to get media time. When reporting on child abuse cases (especially sexual abuse) the media are drawn to report the most sensational and a case where the victim was assault AND the offender gives you twice the sex for the price of one.

Answer: Had The Yellow Bastard (or his father) been portrayed as a marginally likable character she might have a point, but he's a sleeze ball and Willis' character is out to stop him and destroy him.
