Question: Who Would Be Interested In Attending A Child Abuse Prevention Group? I have been hearing on the news about the rise in child abuse. If it was available to you would you attend a prevention group? This would not be ran by a councilor or DFC case worker. It would be ran by a mother for mothers of all ages. I have been thinking about doing this and want to know who all would think they could get good use out of this.

Answer: sounds great but unfortunatly the responsible parents would be the ones turning up no the bogans that breed for government money(australia) the parents that do hurt their innocent babies dont care they dont think about the impact or want to break the cycle

Answer: Prevention? I am not aware of anything. However, there are several passages that deal with God exacting vengeance on anyone who harms one of His little ones. (Mark 9:42, among others...I think there's one about harming even a hair on their head...check a concordance.) God bless...if you learn something about prevention, do log back on to share. It's a horrendous problem, and those victimized have no power to remedy since they are children, and it often scars them through adulthood, and can even impede development. I wish more people would step in to be an advocate for the child rather than turn a blind eye. I find solace to know God promises to handle it.

Question: What's a major child abuse prevention organization??? I have to a report on child abuse and i wanted to know some good organizations to mention.

Answer: I just recently heard of one. Their name is BACA. Otherwise known as Bikers Against Child Above. check out their web site... www.bacausa.com. They just showed up at a court case involving a daught of a friend of mine. Nobody knew they were going to be there, they help give the child courage, they give them their support, no body messes with them and they are all over the place in the USA. (not sure if they're in other countries or not.) They also help families financially if needed.

Question: What are some ideas for a child abuse prevention report? I have a history report and I have to write to President Barrack Obama about an issue I think needs improving. I pick child abuse and I have to write 3 paragraphs. 1 I have to state the issue 2. I have to ask them to do something(or take some action) about it. 3. Answer: If you think it needs improving, you just need to start at what specifically you find wrong or lacking about the system in place to prevent child abuse. Once you have identified what you think is wrong with it, write about that and then brainstorm about different ways to go about getting the problems fixed.

My nephew was a victim of child abuse and is now blind and permanently brain damaged and I am holding a benefit in my city for his care. Question: Do you think parents need sexual abuse prevention and awareness education? If there was a workshop or class about this would you attend?

Answer: Yes I do. I went to a very informative workshop on how to keep your kids safe from sexual predators. It was given by a retired detective that has worked many years on abducted children cases. It was scary, but it was informative and I highly recommend parents go to these classes or workshops if they have the chance to do so. They can save a life.

Question: Easy 10 points! Does anyone know what i can teach to elementary school students about drug abuse prevention? I need some fun activities to keep them entertained, these activities shouldn't be too complicated, at least easy enough for kindergarten kids to understand. they would have to send out a clear message too! were trying to teach them about preventing drug abuse! thankyou!

Answer: You can teach them using toys they like. For example like if barbie or the toy car use this in example to the drug how it can harm them the same could happen to you.

Question: Who has ideas on what to teach elementary school students to teach them substance abuse prevention? I am in a group that teaches students about the consequences of drug use, what are some games or fun activities we could play with them to help them understand the message we are teaching? ( grades K-4)

Answer: How about bringing in a policeman to talk about drugs? I remember that one came to my school when I was young, and all the kids enjoyed hearing him talk. You could also bring in some gross pictures of what drugs do to your body - gray lungs from smoking, skin sores from meth, etc, for the older kids. Boys especially find gross stuff interesting, and how ugly it looks can help turn off girls from drugs.

Answer: It might be Keria Knightly. I haven't seen the advert your talking about but I know she took part in an awareness advert a while ago.

Question: To all law enforcement officials and Alcohol Abuse Prevention, proposal of passing tests before buying alcohol? Yeah, now that I think about it, there are way too many dwi occuring. A possible idea to curb them would be to create a test package when u reach age 21. Instead of just being able to buy it, you have to pass a test in addition to a physical exam to determine ur mental status. I would like to propose this to law enforcement and the division of ABC. How would I go about doing that.

Answer: We don't even require vice presidential candidates pass a test first to determine mental status, so why should we demand that for just buying beer?

Question: How do I find sponsors for a coloring book on child sexual abuse & prevention? Our nonprofit, COMPASS (Communities Promoting A Safer Society) has created a coloring book to protect children from sexual predators. In order to make them available at no cost to children and youth organiztions we need sponsors to cover the cost of the book. How do we locate corporate sponsors or contact celebrities such as movie starts and professional athletes to determine if they have an interest in such a project. Also, how do you contact televison shows such as NBC: To Catch A Predator, Oprah, etc.to bring this to their attention? We can't get past the gate keepers!!!

Answer: You pick up the phone and start calling people. Call local factories and corporate offices. For celebrities you'd have to find their publicist or business manager and contact that person or entity. Use 411.com to find the phone numbers for NBC or ABC you will have to make several phone calls but you'll eventually be able to talk with the production companies or producers of these shows with a little determination and gumption.

Question: Are the present methods of child sexual abuse prevention and treatment doing more harm than good? There are reports that prosecutors have been given such influance over judges that children are being thrown in jail in order to intemidate them into testifying against accused offenders. Sex offender registries are being used as hit lists for mass murder. Stranger danger scares have caused lost children to hide from searchers. Most people still believe that child molesters are strangers and could never be close friends, family members, and even parents themselves, when experts in the field of child sexual abuse report that 90% of all offences are committed by persons well known to a child. Many victims report being verbally abused by therapists and ordered to think and feel certian ways. The media and many activists mislead the public into believing that child sexual abuse is on the rise when the only thing that has incresed are the number of reports. Victims are constantly bombarded by the media with reminders of their abuse, making it harder for them to recover.

Answer: Yes, they are doing more harm than good. I know that many people have their own ideas of Prevention and Treatment. We must start listening to some of the reknowned therapists. These include, Dr. Fred Berlin of Johns Hopkins University, Judith Levine, Jill Levenson and Robert Longo to name a few. I will also be placing a link to ATSA in the Sources section. They are working with us on these things as well. As for Victims, I was molested twice as a child. I am not a victim, I detest that word. I am a SURVIVOR! I have found that there are many others JUST like ME. I think the media must search out the ones that remain victims. Who knows maybe their therapists give the media their names. This would make it very easy for them to really make the hysteria worse don't you think? I feel that prevention should be started as soon as parents know they are going to have a baby. I believe there should be Mandatory Parenting Classes and this topic should be the longest one. Not to mention Parental Neglect. That would teach the would be parents to always look after their children instead of sending them out to play unattended. I feel that in the Molestation Class, it should be told if they ever think they may have a problem they can seek counseling BEFORE anything happens with NO REPERCUSSIONS. Ok, so I know I am dreaming. This Government deals better with hate, hysteria, lack of education, condemnation and incarceration WITHOUT rehabilitation. Just some of my thoughts. Answer: Drug abuse prevention is so important. Not only does it provide educational information on the detrimental consequences of drug addiction and drug abuse, but it provides recovered patients with preventative measures to avoid relapse.

Answer: Parenting classes will teach them to teach their children to beat them up...No.
