Answer: I find each true love proposal is most romantic in it's own way, but the one that touched my heart the most was how Daniel Jones of Savage Garden proposed to his Kathleen of Hi-5. A summary of their story "After being in a serious relationship for more than three years, Kathleen organised a '70s themed party for Daniel's 30th birthday. However, it was Kathleen who got the biggest surprise when a teary-eyed Jones professed his love for de Leon and proposed in front of more than a hundred people – including his shocked parents – at the GPO Bar in Brisbane. On October 9, 2005, de Leon and Jones married at Avica Weddings and Resort on the Gold Coast in Queensland. The big day turned out to be an Oriental-meets-Balinese themed fairytale wedding filled with special touches. Another very sweet one was how my friend proposed to his gf. everday he will send a thank you & love note even after she moved away after graduation. He purposely took a 6 hours train ride right after work to get to her town during winter. On her birthday, he hid behind the lawn & rang the bell every hour & drop a rose. (day time lah) each wth a poem/note with a Question hinting on proposal. Finally he showed up in cold night right on the 12am of her bday to proposed.....but eventually she rejected her. Because she fell in love with someone else when she moved away. Sad leeh...so sad until 5 yrs on he still love her but he knew it's not meant to be.

Answer: Do like that commercial, when the guy takes her to all those special places, then takes her to one she doesnt realize and says " This is the place where I asked you to marry me" That is the best and most romantic thing I've ever seen.

Answer: ummmmmm no. women who question the need for marriage are the independent type that want to focus their time and energy on a career and their own stuff. women who feel that marriage is romantic want to focus on their family and taking care of their man and kids. they don't have time to spend on a career.

Answer: you could take her to a movie & rent one of those ad spaces w/ a pic of you holding a ring & your proposal (have the ring in your pocket too) so she'll be surprised when she sees it you could take her to the place you met & propose think of something she loves & do it & propose

Answer: Because you are vowing to spend the rest of your life with someone and two people become one. That is a huge deal. Nothing says "I love you" like marrying someone. It is not just a legal thing. It is a covenant between you and your spouse and God.

Answer: Mine is "unusual" !! My husband and me were living together already. One night, after work, he went to see a friend who had flown in from Italy. When he came home, totally drunk, he came crawling to our bed and was moaning something. I woke up, and saw him on the floor, with a look of "pain" in his face and screamed (it was 2:00 a.m.): "What's wrong? Are you sick?" He was now lying on the floor and moaned:"I have something in my pocket. Will you get it, will you?" I got up, and took a nice "diamond stone" out of his pocket. I asked:"What is it?" He:"It's a diamond stone and will you marry me?" I said:"What the hell happened to the ring?" He replied:" I have no clue, I just have a stone!" I went to bed, he remained on the floor and the next morning, he himself, remembered part of the story and apologized immediately and "put on a whole new act." Nine years and two kids later, here I am, lol !!

Answer: Take her back to the place you proposed and have your candle light dinner there. depending on where that happened, it could take some advance preperations. I think that would be uber romantic.

Question: dont you feel that the traditional marriage with children is a romantic idea? it takes a lot of work and effort to sustain a good marriage with children. Its a selfless thing to do, really. Answer: My theory is just that because of technology, what is considered "that's life" is now different. We are, essentially, RICHER than ever before in time. We have more food, have better shelter, etc. So our reality is that we don't HAVE to put up with crap. Back in the day, yes, they DID have to put up with crap to survive. Now, not so much.

Question: Romantic Getaway for marriage proposal? want to take my girlfriend on a vacation in late May after she graduates from college. While on vacation, I plan on asking her to marry me. I need specific locations where to go on the vacation. Looking for romantic locales. Cost is not a concern. I 've already consider Paris and proposing under the Eiffel Tower. Background: Dating her for almost 3 years. The last year has been a long distance relationship; although we've been able to get together about once a month. Answer: Seriously, take my dream proposal (I'm already engaged but my dream proposal didn't happen): Venice. (Eiffel Tower=TomKat=SHIVER) Venice is so romantic! The water, the food. Take her on a gondola ride, and then you can ask her (take the ride early evening, so it's light enough for you to look at each other!). You can then tour the rest of the country after the proposal. Florence is a train ride away (I vaguely remember it being about 3 hours away from Venice), and so is Rome. There is very quaint hotel in Venice that has been the best place I've ever stayed in while in Italy. It's called the Piazza Schiavoni, and just the sweetest place you could ever stay. Or you can wait till you get to Florence to ask her. Walk past the Duomo to the Arno River. I believe you turn right (you can also go to Harry's Bar!) and walk all the way till you reach a steep set of steps. The steps lead to Il Piazza di Michelangelo, and you need to go at sunset. The sun sets and lights the city in the most spectacular way. (If you've ever seen a postcard or a picture of Florence's cityline, it's probably from this piazza.) Whatever you do, she's going to love it because it's you and you're making this commitment to her. We all want it to be this fabulous thing with the gigantic ring and the like, but I'm not marrying my fiancé because of HOW he proposed. I'm marrying him because of who he is and because I love him. Answer: My Fiancee asked me to marry him by getting up early one morning and making me my favorite breakfast and woke me up with breakfast in bed but we had been up late the night before so when he woke me up i kept trying to fall back asleep on him and then he pulled out the ring and boy that sure woke me up quick. It was very sweet and romantic and i wouldn't have wanted it any other way
