Question: Law about black/white marriage in 60s and b4? I read that before integration, it was against the law (at least in Georgia) for blacks and whites to marry. If they did, the person that performed the marriage would be fined, or lose their job, and the married couple would be arrested. Could someone please tell me more about this law?

Answer: Yes, this is very true. A great case called Loving v. Virginia was one of the first Supreme Court cases to change that.

Answer: Your pastor sounds like some old guy that is out of touch. There is no rule/law that says you can't wear white anymore. It is a personal preference and no longer a statement that the bride is a virgin. I'd find another pastor/priest who will work with you.

Question: Do you approve or disapprove of interracial dating and marriage between white men and black women? I approve it to the highest point. It's one of the few interracial relationships I enjoy seeing. It also seems as though the relationships between white men and black women are the most accepted when it comes to interracial dating, then follows white men and asian women couples. Answer: No because my mother is black and my father is white.

Answer: Yes, your smart keep the communication open, because there are far to many troubled marriages. I'd say that's nice, so you'll love me regardless of marriage right? Question: Why are Black Women and White Men interracial marriage lower than Black Men and White Women? Yet White Men and Black Women relationships last longer? I heard it's because Black Men and White Women only want each other for sexual fetishes or self-hatred.. Tell me what you think.

Answer: They do have lower divorce rates. Also while black men- white women are the highest couple, they aren't the highest in marriage. In general African American get divorced more often and married less than any other major cultural group including Africans from Africa. This is mostly due to a general acceptance in many segments of African American culture for this. They also accept, and even applaud, having children with multiple women and not settling down with them. Cromartie, a football player, is just one example. In a recent interview he couldn't even remember all his kids name which number more than 7 with 6 or more different women all in different states. This is a cultural thing, not a racial thing. Many church going Christina black men will stay with their wives and their marriage rate is higher and their divorce rate is lower. However, I am sure no one will believe me and racist white people and black people will give me a thumbs down because I can back what I say with fact, books, studies, statistics, interviews and the like.

Answer: I have never dreamed of a "fairy white" wedding. As far as I've always been concerned... Well, I could care less. I think women become obsessed w/ the idea of a "prince charming", and well, that frankly, DOES NOT EXSIST. It's in a womens DNA to find her love.... to find her dream man... to find the one who "complete's" her... to find her CAVE MAN. mk. Answer: I current personal opinion is that they are no more or less committed to marriage and family than any other group of men.

Answer: yes it is rare....... i think guys are threatened by mixed girls...but not nearly as much as they are by us black girls......

Answer: well it sure is possible. my mother is a single white mom and my dad is black i don't know him, but i think i look just fine so there isnt a problem with children. what matters most is what is inside not the outside.

Answer: Yes, Cassie. African-American women were much, much faster in gaining independence and financial stability than white women. I know you live in some bizarre-o world where racism doesn't exist, so I suppose that seems like a logical answer to you.

Answer: Is it wrong to have a preference for one group of men? No Is it ok to stereotype one group of men? Yes There is nothing wrong with an interracial relationship when two people are dating or marring each other because they love each other despite their cultural differences. But there is plenty wrong you thinking that all black men are cheaters, disrespectful to women and dead beat dads. Barack Obama is a supportive husband, a wonderful father and one of many black men who prove that there are BOTH good and bad men in EVERY race. Answer: My best friend and roomate in college is married to a white chick. He's vietnamese and she's dutch Irish. Ten years in, they are doing fine. Funny stat, he's five foot seven but can reverse jam a basketball. He was the outside hitter on a divison one men's college volley ball team. He proves all the stereotypes wrong.

Answer: Most of the time it isn't for love. It is for some form of status. It has been said that black men feel like once they get to a certain financial level that a white woman makes them complete. If you are attracted to white women then that is great. If you meet one and fall in love that is great too. It just seems that many of the black men that are involved with white women do it for some of the craziest reasons and not for love. This is just my opinion. In this area I have seen men accept things from women of other races that they wouldn't accept from a black woman. Examples toothlessness lots of children lots of baby daddy drama substance abuse (he always think he can help her) overweight/or out of shape family don't like him no job on the system no education and in the end they take these women and make them their wives. Could it be that they don't last because it has nothing to do with the fact that the women you are chosing are white....it might be because she is just a messed up individual and it wouldn't matter what race she was.

I have always thought she has had a crush on me . Answer: IDK..maybe her mom wants her to be happy and have a love marriage. My friend is Indian and after telling her mom how she felt ,she is choosing her own husband and her parents invite him over,are supportive and help plan and pay for the wedding..depends on the parents..are the stiff on tradition or do they want their daughter to be happy ?
