Question: How do employee referral programs work for big companies? I have a friend that works for Accenture who submitted my resume for a job internally. I had to create a profile on their website. After I applied, the HR lady told my friend that since i was referred, any job i submit my resume to via that profile will be submitted as an employee referral. Is that how all employee referral programs work for large companies? Previously i thought employee referral only worked one position you apply for at a time.

Answer: Hey my cousin also just recently referred me. But he is an alumni so it would be considered an Alumni referral. I don't know if it works the same way or not, but I received an e-mail telling me to set up an account and create a profile. I did and the referral was listed just as a job would be. Answer: I really don't know a whole lot about referral partners or programs. Honestly this sounds a little like a pyramid scam. Have tried talking to friends/relatives, posting a blog entry about it, or making a webpage that has detailed information about it?

Answer: we did this at my barbershop....i gave the regular customer a buisness card with there name on the back of it and if they gave that card to a new customer the new customer would bring that card in so i would know who to give the discount to...then i would give them a card with there name on it to give to someone and so on and so on. i would file the cards they gave me and put them in a filing system and when they walked in we would ask there last name and check if there was a card. good luck

Answer: I think I understand what your talking about, I have a project site of mine with journal entries, where each entry has it's own ID number, I assume this is sorta what your looking for... I wrote my code myself using PHP and a MySQL database, but if your looking for a premade script to do that for you, I'm sure there is one out there, but it will be hard to find one that will do SPECIFICLY what you want it to do. The best I can suggest is trying a portal, which is basically a prebuilt dynamic website. Answer: It's not very clear what you mean by referral program. Are you trying to set it up so people sign up as your affiliates to help you promote your site or would you like to promote somebody else's products / sites? You can sign up with sites like ShareASale.com , CJ.com , or ClixGalore.com and set up your own affiliate program or sign up to become an affiliate for other sites. Answer: I'm just thinking off the top of my head here. It sounds like your employer is looking to avoid advertising charges, or perhaps thinks it is unethical for a professional to advertise. The first thing is, your employer has to provide excellent service and follow-up with his existing customers. The best advertisement is word of mouth. You could also come up with a little survey which the customers fill out while they are there in the office. Include questions like how satisfied were you with the service you were provided today? Or ask how they found out about the services your employer provides. How did you find out about us? Always include the questions, how can we improve our services? and Would you recommend us to a friend? May we contact you for further information? Might then have to start making phone calls to the people who say yes. Its a multi-staged effort and may require some time and expense. I would start with the time, since you're already on staff and already receiving a wage, I hope. It may sound stupid, but finding a place on the internet where you can have fridge magnets made up and hand those out to your customers. Others in their home will see it and maybe ask when the time comes that they need your services. If your employer specializes in something, like farm animals or exotic pets or whatever, make sure that news gets out. Most doctors of anything, be it a physician or dentist usually don't advertise, but depend on completely satisfied patients/customers to spread the word.

Answer: A thank you card with a short note would be in order. No gifts. Most places don't allow their employee to accept gifts. A card will be very appropriate.

Question: Is it possible to setup a referral agreement between a realtor and a fsbo website company? How? I run a small fsbo website and have recently been approached by a local realtor that would like to pay me a referral (% of sale) for any buyer or seller leads I send to them that result in a sale. I am not a licensed realtor/broker. Sounds like something worth trying if it's legal. I think other BIG FSBO websites are doing this, just not sure how. Are they licensed?

Answer: Paying a non-registered person for a referral is illegal. A referral fee can only be paid to a registered brokerage. Yes, some large FSBO sites are owned by Realtors.

Answer: A Referral comes in many different forms. Referral from a Director: If you ever worked on a theatre production, commercial, or a TV/Film project - and you have established a good connection with the Director, you can ask the director if he has never worked with any other actors from that specific Ageny. If so, you can ask the Director that if it is okay for you to use his name as a referral on your cover letter. If the Director has never worked with anyone, or never heard of this particular Talent Agency, you can still ask to see if this Director can suggest any Agents that you can contact. Referral from a Casting Director: If you ever gone out on an audition, and booked the job, and you have a good working relationshp with a Casting Director, it doesn't hurt to express your interested in getting Agent representation, and see if the Casting Director can suggest Names for you to contact. (Or, if this Casting Director has worked with that particular Talent Agency - and see if you can use his/her name as a referral on the cover letter) At times, Casting Director will call the Talent Agent directly, and the rest is up to you to set an appointment with the Agency. Referral from an Actor: If you are currently working in a show or on a film - and if your fellow cast members have representation.... You can ask them how they feel about their agents, and see if they'd be interested in giving you referral. (again, you can use their name on your cover letter) or ask them to invite their agent to see the show. Referral from an Acting Teacher: This is really rare, but it has happened before. When submitting your headshot, resume and cover letter to a Talent Agency. You need to make sure that on the first line of your cover letter, you indicated that you were referred by (Name). So pretty much, you need to have a working relationship with any of these people above. Because by referring YOU, they are also putting their own reputation on the line. The company is not a provider. So when I go in there. Am I going to have to pay for the services up front and then send off the claim to my insurance company? Answer: The way my insurance works, if the lab or dr is out of network, they will pay a smaller percentage. The place still bills my insurance like normal, buy I have to pay a higher percentage instead of a co pay. Some provider though might make you pay up front and get reimbursed from your insurance. You may ask your dr to send you to an in network provider though.

Answer: No, not if you live in America. Go to the psychiatrist first, just call and make an appointment, he will talk with you and give you a diagnosis, then ask him to recommend a good counselor. Someone that has experience in eating disorders. A counselor can't help you very much unless they have been through an eating disorder themselves, they don't understand, they just don't get it, you will sense that and you won't be able to trust them enough, so don't waste your money.
