Motion
The name of the paper you must file to ask a judge to make a ruling or take some other action. A motion is the first step in the three-step process called motion practice, which is controlled by Civil Rule 77.
Question: MoTiOn!~~~~~~~~? How does velocity affect motion and how does motion affect velocity???
Answer: you cannot have motion in one direction without velocity. You cannot have velocity without motion in one direction.
Question: Motion?????? What us air resistance and how does it affect motion and how does motion affect it? Alos what s a stream line and how is it used?? I learned this in 4th grade, but I don't remember it . Help??!!
Answer: Simplified answer;
Air Resistance - force air uses it push a falling object up
It will affect motion because it ill make the object fall not in a straight line.
Stream Line - point in air where least air resistance is met
Used to move unaided, like by sky jumpers or airplanes.
Hope this helps!
Question: motion.....................? which of the following a body in motion need not posses?
velocity
kinetic energy
momentum
Answer: I would think it has all three
velocity = v
kinetic energy = 1/2mv^2
momemtum = mv
Question: MOTION?????????????????? Hi my science teacher is a crazy nut! He never explains anything to us! He just gives us our homework and when we try to ask a question he hurries us out the door!
So this was he homework make a web. The middle says motion. then we are supposed to web off that with something! He gave us two examples: Heat and energy. If you get the homework tell me a few other example
THANKS.
Answer: I suspect that you are looking for concepts that are associated with motion.
Heat (friction from motion)
Energy (it takes energy to move things)
Force: the push that gives object the speed they need for motion
work: the amount of force applied over the distance of motion.
Speed (the rate of motion over time)
distance (the measurement of motion or displacement)
Question: What exactly is a motion comic supposed to look like? Ok Ive watched various motion comics on Youtube, most of them see to be watchmen comics.
I have an assignment in college to create a motion comic. And to be honest this is absolutely out of my depths by the looks of things.
Can anyone suggest a simple way to create a motion comic, like the most simple form of motion comic.
I will need to draw it on Photoshop (thats all I have at home) & edit it in Flash if I have to at college.
Answer: If you want to skip drawing it, try this website. Type in your script and insert directions into your text to get the characters to "act". It's fun to fool with once you get the hang of it.
Question: How can I track motion using a camera and translate it to my computer so I can calculate the rate of motion? I'm in a class where I'm trying to use someone's rate of motion to create frequency that can be translated into a piece of music. I need to track the person's motion, then calculate the rate of motion based on what was recorded. Any ideas of the simplest and cheapest way to do this?
Answer: I'd recommend using key coloring, capture points, or glyphs. There is a lot of information available. I would use glyphs, since it doesn't require a full 360 degree array of cameras and can be done cheaply and easily. But all you need is any type of software which can be made to "read" a certain part of video footage, and you can use any decent camera. It would be very tough, but you can even write your own if you know what you're doing. There's no way I can give you a full explanation here, so look up motion capturing with glyphs.
Question: What is the range, in feet, that an outdoor motion detector can detect motion? These are my questions, please refer to the number when answering. Thanks.
1. What is the maximum range of outdoor motion detectors that are attached to lights?
2. Can a motion detector detect motion through glass? So, if the motion detector is on the side of the house and pointed downwards, but the neighbors sliding window is in the way, would it detect the motion through the glass?
3. How sensitive is the detector at it's maximum distance? If the max is say, 35 feet, does the detector loss some of it's ability to detect as it gets to 35 feet?
Thanks.
Answer: The farther the distance the less sensitive it will be. It should point down at the ground at like a 45 degree angle.
Question: How does one transform a circular motion into an elliptical motion? I want to design a stationary exercise bike, which implies circular rotational motion of the pedals around a fixed point, but that can, with the press of a button, transform into an elliptical training machine, that has an elliptical rotational motion around a fixed point, often far away from the actual pedals. Is this possible, engineering-wise? I can imagine displacing the rotational point of the cycling machine, so that it would still describe a circular motion.
Answer: No we can't actually, because an ellipse has a variable radius with respect to angular coordinate, in contrast with circular path which has a constant radius. Thus if you want an elliptical path, you have to "change the lenght of the rod" with respect to time ( connecting the pedal) , which is 'impossible', to me atleast.
I wish this is what your question about :)
Question: What type if motion is occuring when the slope of velocity vs time graph is zero and when its not zero? What type if motion is occuring when the slope of velocity vs time graph is zero?
What type if motion is occuring when the slope of velocity vs time graph is not zero?
Answer: a) Constant velocity
b) accelerated motion
Question: My motion sensor light stays on all the time, what is the problem? After adding an outlet yesterday, when we turned the breaker back on my motion detector light just stays on all the time. I've tried all the adjustments and nothing changes this. Is this something I can fix or do I need a new light? Serious answers only please.
Is there any way I can get some real answers for my question? I'm reporting these idiotic ones.
I DONT have instructions or the receipt. It is NOT new. It was on the house when I bought it. If you don't have a good answer, please move on.
YES, I know how the sensitivity and the other controls WORK. Please don't waste my time.
Answer: Some lights have the ability to be controlled on manual or automatic depending on the number of times that the switch for the light is switched on and off.You may need to kill the power then allow it to go thru its warm up routine again(When it tests itself prior to operation.when initially powered up)Sometimes tripping the breaker and then turning back the power on can remedy the problem.
If the light is controlled by a photocell(a device that stops it switching on until its dark) then it could be that which is faulty as they tend to stay powered up when they fail so people can still see in the dark.
Question: How important is backward motion in snow thrower? What would you like to ask? I'm planning to buy a snow thrower and I'm looking at my options. So far, I think I want to get a 2stage one, but I can't decide whether forward AND backwards motion is better than forward motion alone. Any experience and advice is welcomed.
Thanks!
Answer: That depends on the snowblower and it's gearcase. If the drive is disengaged when you release the handle, and you can easily move it, then you don't need reverse. I use all 6 of my forward gears at different times, depending on the snow, but I hardly ever use the 2 reverse gears. I've never seen one that didn't have reverse though. If you have found one without it, and it's significantly less than one with reverse, go for it. If the difference is minimal, I'd go with the one with reverse. You never know when you are gonna need it....... Hope this helps.
Question: How is the Wii Motion Plus different from the regular remote? This is for anyone who has gotten to use the Wii Motion Plus already. How is it different from the regular remote. They say it's 1:1. Does that mean whatever's on the game moves at the exact same time as the remote. It seems to do that without the Wii Motion Plus.
Are you sure that the games just aren't made to work with Wii Motion Plus. Everything on the original Wii Sports seems to work just fine. In baseball any way you move the remote, the bat moves.
Answer: I have M+ with Tiger Woods 10 and it is great! Without Wii motion plus if you pull your back swing back 6 inches in real life your in game player will pull his back swing back 3-4 feet. With M+ if you pull your back swing back 6 inches your in game player will pull his back 6 inches. That is what they mean when they say 1:1. The level of control is unbelievable and well worth the money. I hope every game in the future uses it.
Added - The M+ will have no affect on your old games, just games that are coming out from now on that are developed to use it.
M+ adds 3 gyroscopes to the Wii mote and it does have a big impact on games. If you know anyone that has Tiger Woods 10 play a round with and without M+. It's night and day. If you thought that the control was good for Wii sports you will be mesmerized by M+.
Question: How does the downward component of the motion of a projectile compare to the motion of free fall? How does the downward component of the motion of a projectile compare to the motion of free fall?
When you answer the question, please also explain WHY, because I don’t just want the answer, I want to learn also =)
Answer: because with gravity...the speed of an object accelerates...at about 9X speed per second (on earth)...but it eventually finds a fixed speed because of wind friction...a projectile with just motion will continue at the same speed/inertia until another force acts upon it...then it might change direction or speed...the speed atwhich a projectile falls b/c of gravity = the same speed it falls in free fall under the same conditions
Question: What is the main difference between a motion to dismiss and a motion for judgement on the pleadings? For example, if an individual files a suit against a company, and that company responds that even if the statement of the facts is true, according to the law their company is not liable.
Would the company's response be considered a motion to dismiss, or a motion for judgement on the pleadings?
I am having a difficult time distinguishing the differences between the two. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
Answer: In civil litigation, a written submission to the court at a preliminary stage of the case, generally before the defendant answers, seeking dismissal of the case on one of several grounds, including lack of jurisdiction over the person or subject matter, and failure of the plaintiff to allege requisite elements of the cause of action asserted in the complaint, etc.; may be granted with or without leave given to plaintiff to amend his complaint to correct deficiencies.
Summary judgment is properly granted when the evidence in support of the moving party establishes that there is no issue of material fact to be tried. (Code Civ. Proc., section 437c; Mann v. Cracchiolo (1985) 38 Cal.3d 18, 35.) The court is required to consider all the evidence set forth in the papers, except where objections are properly sustained, and all inferences reasonably deducible from such evidence. Any doubts as to the propriety of granting the motion must be resolved in favor of the party opposing the motion. (Asare v. Hartford Fire Ins. Co. (1991) 1 Cal.App.4th 856, 862.) If the court determines there is no triable issue of fact, the court will determine any remaining issues of law. (Pittelman v. Pearce (1992) 6 Cal.App.4th 1436, 1441.) ~
Question: How to do slow motion on the toilet? my motion is too fast. how do i slow down the motion?
Answer: Your motion is too fast? lmao thats too much information for me. Take a muscle relaxer?
Question: How could I incorperate perpetual motion into my science fair project? I really wish I could do my project on perpetual motion but the thing is I do not know how to experiment with it. You have to have 10 trials of one experiment and I just do not know how to make it work. I AM NOT TRYING TO INVENT A PERPETUAL MOTION MACHINE. I just want to create an experiment showing why it will not work. Or something along those lines.
Answer: If you're serious, you could study the previous attempts, organize them into types, and show their failings. You could learn just enough thermodynamics to discuss intelligently how it applies. You could choose a method you think makes the most sense or has the best chance of succeeding, and design an experiment to test it, even if the experiment couldn't be completed in your lifetime. You could also choose one you could test during the school year, perhaps with a surplus gyrocompass. You could study and discuss things like planetary orbits, electron orbits, and the unattenuated travel of a photon for millions of years, and why they do or do not qualify. Your exhibit could present one candidate as a challenge, and ask the viewer to explain why it is or is not perpetual motion. You'd have a lot of research and a little experiment. You'd have a catchy title, but perhaps not an engaging display.
If you do, I'd appreciate acknowledgement and a copy of your report. If you succeed in finding a useful mechanism, I won't demand any of your profits, but I would like an invitation to your Nobel Prize presentation.
I'm not trying to change your mind, or asking you to expect to invent a PMM. But as you study, keep your mind open and skeptical, and don't dismiss any candidate until you get a solid and rational reason.
Question: What does motion to vacate proceedings supplemental hearing mean? My husband is being sued by his collage loan company and then he got a thing in the mail called "motion to vacate proceedings supplemental hearing". What does it mean?
Answer: Sounds like they are attempting to place a judgment against him. This is not necessary you show however, if you don't the judge will grant the judgment.
So you just need to decide if they have the right to place a judgment don't show (especially if it out of state)
Question: How do I use a motion detection module to trigger on the lights in my house? I would like to know how to make a circuit that works analogously with a PIRM 180-200 motion detection module. I want to make a circuit that would turn on specified lights in my house when a person walks by the motion sensor listed above.
Answer: depending on the unit type, use a microcontroller and either poll for a change in the motion sensor or a change on the port, or with transistor logic/relay
Question: Can pets set off a motion detector for a home security system? I'm thinking about getting a security system for my house. The system comes with motion detectors. Can cats set off the alarm through the motion detectors?
Answer: Yes. That being said, many companies offer motion detectors that either can't be set off by small animals (as mentioned by another answerer) or can have "pet filters" added onto them so that they aren't as sensitive. Most newer models are fine with small pets.
Question: Can a motion light be connected to a switch that has a 2 way light switch? The wires on the switch have 2 black wires, the wires on the motion light has 1 and a yellow/red wire. Does that yellow/red wire connect to the lower black wire?
I have it installed and it works great.
Answer: Normally the black would go to black, and the yellow/red would go to neutral (white). However if it is working I suppose all is well. There is normally not a neutral (white) wire in a switch box.
