Parent Profile
Also referred to as an "adoptive parent profile," an "adoption profile" or an "adoption dossier." In its simplest form it is a document that gives background and current information about a parent that desires to adopt a child. It is intended to contain information that will be provided to birthparents to assist them in selecting adoptive parents to adopt their child. Although every adoption agency will have its own preferred format for parent profiles, if left to their own devices, the parent profiles that would be created by adoptive parents would be just as original, creative and different as the individuals that prepare them. Most commonly, a parent profile will include a narrative description of the adoptive parent or adoptive family, statistical information, such as age, educational and employment background, and talents and hobbies, plus a "Dear Birth Mother Letter," addressed to the potential birth mother and containing information about the adoptive parent's reasons for adoption, their parenting philosophy, details about their marriage and perhaps even a discussion of their religious and spiritual philosophy on life. The parent profile may even be presented in the form of a Photo Profile or even a notebook or scrapbook.

Question: is it illegal to post a profile picture on myspace with a minor child with out the consent of the parent? a relative posted a profile picture with herself and another relative of mine, which so happens to be a minor child. The account user did not get permission from the minors parents. Parent does not want her child's picture on the internet. What can be done about this?
Answer: You may be able to get them to take it down. You won't be able to prosecute anyone. A warning is probably the worst they could get.
Question: do I need only Unemployment forms for Fafsa and CSS profile if my parent is unemployed? Last year I submitted W2 and 1040 forms. This year there are no W2 at all because my father has not worked. He only has 1099form that shows his unemployment money and taxes withheld. Will that suffice for Fafsa and CSS application? will 1040 form still be necessary?
Answer: You do not need to submit any forms to have your CSS PROFILE or FAFSA application processed. You use whatever income information for 2009 that you have to complete these forms. Any Federal Tax Returns, W-2 forms, 1099's etc... are submitted to your Financial Aid Office if they are required for applying for financial aid. You should contact your Financial Aid Office to see what forms you will need to submit.
You father will need to check to see if he needs to file a 2009 Federal Tax Return (1040). Most folks who do receive unemployment still have to pay taxes on it and are required to completed an IRS Form 1040.

How can I gain access to my child's account?
Facebook is generally forbidden by federal and many state laws to give unauthorized access to someone who is not an account holder. If you are a parent or school official, we encourage you to use software tools on your own computers to assist in overseeing your child's Internet access. Please do a search for computer-based Internet control technology on your preferred search engine to discover options that you may wish to pursue.
If your child is under 13 and you believe they have created a Facebook account, however, the Childrens' Online Privacy Protection Act gives you the right to access personal information they have provided before Facebook follows its policy of promptly deleting such data. You may access and direct the deletion of such data by having them sign into the account and then deactivating the account, or by making a request by email to Facebook. Please send requests to [email protected] with the subject line "COPPA Data Request".

Question: How come not all the bands in the parents' profiles have a counterpart in the baby's DNA profile? In DNA fingerprinting , why not all the bands in the mother's or father's profiles have a counterpart in the baby's DNA profile?
Answer: Because you inherit half of your genomic material from your mother and half from your father. In addition to that, during metaphase I, cross-over of random parts of the genome may occur in each set of homologous chromosomes (one from each grand-parent) introducing a genetic strand unique to that gamete (i.e it's not present in either of the parents) into one of the sister chromatids. Once the cells divide again in metaphase II, each cell gets a random mix of chromatids with and without cross-over linkage.
This should let you appreciate the randomness of transfer of genetic code to each gamete, making each gamete unique. This allows a new individual to be created, rather than semi-clones of different generations.

Question: Do you have a parent who is a Cancer who doesn't fit the profile of "amazing parent" commonly associated with this sun sign? or is your experience similar to mine? Where the parent claims themself to be this fantastic parent and never able to see the mistakes they made, rather blames you for things that were beyond your control, but well within theirs? and very selfish instead of sacrificing as cancer profiles indicate?
This experience I already realize is not unique to me, as my father has a similar relationship with his cancer father, and my cancer uncle is also very much like this with his daughter.
maybe these experiences are only unique to my family, but i have often wondered if this profile of what a cancer is was written by a cancer and not an unbiased astrologer
what are your experiences?
Answer: My mother is a Cancer (I am a Scorpio). My mother is so overly sensitive, emotional, moody, and angry, there was no room for my emotional needs as a child. All us kids basically had to have her interests/not our own. If we wanted to pursue what interested us, she would get hurt, angry and verbally abusive. I don't think she really wanted kids, but when she got married, which she was kind of pressured into, then the next thing she was "supposed to do" was have kids. She was born in that time frame, with parents that thought going with the flow was just what you did to appear normal.
So, no, my mother really was not the nurturing type at all. If she had waited and had children later, maybe, but I believe the pressure that was put on her ruined the experience for her.

Question: Facebook Profile says parents instead of cousins? On my facebook, I added five of my cousins. On my info page it says that they are my cousins but on my profile it says parents. how do i get it to say cousins?

Question: i want to change the profile of my sons yahoo account? I just created a yahoo account for my son and I now need to edit the profile. If I sign on with my sons ID, he isn't allowed to edit his profile (<13). I - the parent - can not find a way to edit his profile either. Inability to easily edit my son's profile == removal of the account.
Answer: This is from the family account help. Since I do not have a family account I can't verify it. It refers to a "Personal Assistant" section and says to reenter the "child's" password. That does not make sense. It logically should be yours.
To edit your child's account information, log in as your child by going to the Yahoo! home page and clicking the "Sign In" link. (You might need to sign out of your own account first.) Use the ID and password that you entered when you created the child account in Family Account registration.
After you have signed in, click your child’s name link in the Personal Assistant section, and re-enter your child's password. By editing this area of your child's account, you can ensure that the information given is accurate. In the Account Information area, you'll be able to edit most of your child's member settings.
[I would appreciate it if you would email me if the above works and let me know the exact procedure you followed so I can document it.]

Question: need help to make my profile as a Montessori Teacher 3-6 years to introduce myself to the parents.? Hi everybody. I am a Montessori Teacher 3-6 years age group. I want to make my profile to introduce myself to parents in the coming parents meeting for the new academic year.
Can anybody help me and give suggestions how to make it. If you do not have an idea of Montessori system no problem you can write for a Traditional school (preschool/Kindergarten) 3-6 years teachers profile no problem.
Thanks in advance for all.
Answer: I would start by choosing a few key pedagogic ideas from Montessori and describe how you would or have implemented in the past. That way, they are more comfortable knowing that you understand Montessori (the method is very misunderstood by many) and what to expect from you and your implementation within the classroom environment.
Question: How do you allow certain people to see ONLY your limited profile on Facebook? Not everyone, just people you don't want to delete/block, so you allow them to see your limited profile only.
Example: Parents.
Answer: Facebook has no privacy or security. No matter what setting you use, there is a work around. "hack a facebook account" has over 50 MILLION results on Google - all great, easy tutorials to see everything.
Don't worry about your parents. Chances are, thousands of strangers and dodgy old men are staring at your entire profile right now!
Question: How do I hide my profile from my parents if they insist on being my friends on facebook? My parents and a couple of their friends insist on being my facebook friends. Answer: Account -> Privacy settings -> customize settings then click on the drop down box of the section you dont want them to see and click customize then type in their name's and it will block those accounts from seeing certain sections of your facebook.
