Question: What is the proper orientation of landscape exhibits in a report? If you've got a report with the text pages in the portrait orientation, which way should the landscape exhibits go? Should the top-right corner of the landscape exhibit match up with the top-left corner or the bottom-right corner of the portrait page? I have my preference and a good reason but is there an MLA (or some other association) ruling on this?
I work in the engineering field and there are many, many reports/information packets involved and a small percentage of people orient the landscape exhibits with the top-right corner aligned with the bottom-right corner of the portrait pages. I know that this is not the preferred way but I'm looking for some type of official rule from the MLA style (or a comparable association). See, with engineers, you need to show them a published rule before they'll agree that they did something wrong.
Answer: The top-right corner of the landscape exhibit should match up with the top-left corner of the portrait page.
I have been in the business world for years, and that is the ONLY way I've ever seen exhibits presented
Question: How do I get updated by exhibits and activities for kids at malls here? In Manila, I mean..
I want my sister to take part on activities and exhibits (at least viewing them), however, even when i go to the mall, it seems like I just don't see their ads or announcements..
On the internet, I can't seem to find any information about their upcoming events.
Answer: Only applicable to the Ayala mall chain, Shangri-La Plaza and other high end malls:
Go to the concierge desk inside the mall. They work just like those in hotels. They can sometimes even book you tickets/reserve you seats for the event.
I once got a seat for a free concert at Alabang Town Center through the concierge desk!
Oh, and Ayala also announces their activities in the Philippine Star sometimes. Also check out the banners near Ayala malls. They usually announce activities there.
Question: How would a production function that exhibits decreasing marginal product affect the shape of the total cost c? How would a production function that exhibits decreasing marginal product affect the shape of the total cost curve? Explain .
Answer: If the production function exhibits diminishing marginal productivity from the outset, the TC curve will be increasing at an increasing rate (from the outset). Because the slope of the TC curve is marginal cost (the rate of change in total cost when output is increased) this scenario will lead to an upward sloping MC curve

Question: What type of animal exhibits does the Jackson Zoological Gardens have ? I visited the zoo website and they do not show a map of the animal exhibits that they have. I want to know if Jackson Zoo have different areas , such as a Reptile House, Small Mammal House, and an Aviary?
Answer: If you are referring to the Jackson Zoo in Jackson, Mississippi, then yes they do house An Aquarium. A small mammal house, and an Aviary.
They house wild animals from throughout the world, with more than 776 animals representing more than 120 species including 18 Endangered species. and 23 active survival species programmes.
In their new Wilderness Mississippi Area you can see the state’s most beloved, most misunderstood and rarest animals such as cougars, black bears, river otters and beavers in habitats that are the latest in zoo design.
They have a venomous animal house, an alligator mote around the historic “Monkey Castle”, a pond for water fowl, and an aquatic habitat building containing aquariums, a small aviary, the beaver and otter habitats, and displays for other animals. Also there is a new Coral Reef Exhibit. The exhibit houses 3 separate tanks with a grand assortment of species. The touch-tank offers children the chance to actually touch marine life. The coral reef offers the opportunity to learn about both the wildlife important environmental factors of their habitat, all while surrounding you by a magnificently hand-painted mural.
Also new to the zoo is the new colony of prairie dogs.
The new endangered species carousel is also now open
They have entertaining and imaginative hands-on exhibits, such as Turtle Crawl, Ant World, and Create an Animal etc.
The Zoo has a Rain Forest Exhibit, a Safari, a Mississippi trail as well.
You can get more Info on their site too!
Question: Do I have to pay for all exhibits in a public museum? I am planning a trip to the Milwaukee Public Museum. I have never been to a museum before. I went online to purchase tickets and I see you have to purchase tickets for different exhibits. Do you have to purchase tickets for every exhibit, or just a select few? Is there usually a lot of stuff to see that you don't have to pay extra for? Any information you have would be great.
Answer: First off, great choice on visiting the Milwaukee Public Museum (MPM)! I think it's a really underrated museum. I would suggest just buying the cheapest, basic ticket, trust me, you'll have plenty to see without paying extra for special exhibits. You must check out the Streets of Old Milwaukee, it's a favorite of nearly everyone in Milwaukee, and a really great interactive exhibit (great for taking pictures too!)
Also, many people seem to forget about the top floor of the museum. In my opinion, the top floor has some of the best exhibits, but if you spend too much time trying to draw out some of the more "kiddie" exhibits on the other floors, you will be crunched for time when you get to the top.
Hope you enjoy!
Question: What are the most child friendly exhibits at the British Museum? There's so much to see I don't know where to start! What exhibits might a curious three and a half year old be interested in...?
Thanks Frankie - very helpful. Enjoy Egypt next year, it's an amazing place to visit!
Answer: When I was little and my parents took me to the British museum, I loved the Egypt room - the mummies fascinated me. I also liked the butterflies - they were so pretty and I didn't think of them as bugs!
My favourite museum of all was the Science museum as it had an area especially for children with buttons to press! (It was a very long time ago!) That museum is even more child friendly now.
I think the trick would be to whisk round the museum quickly and see what your little'un stops to look at themselves. You may find that they are interested in something completely different to any suggestion here!
Question: How do art exhibits over the centuries prove to be an impact in the art world? (degenerate art show, armory art show of 1913, and the pavilion of realism) i'm not sure how these connect to one another. if you know any other important exhibits, please tell me.
Answer: EXHIBITS HAVE BEEN A DOOR OPENING FOR MANY ARTISTS THAT WOULDN'T HAVE OTHERWISE HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO GET THEIR NAME OUT IN THE SCENE . I RECENTLY DID A CHARITY BENEFIT AT THE GEFFIN PLAYHOUSE ALONG WITH FRANK ARMITAGE , DENNIS HOPPER , MARK BEAM & WALT PEREGOY . AN EXHIBIT I WILL NEVER FORGET , AMINLY FOR THE CONNECTIONS I WAS ABLE TO MAKE , PARTICULARLY MR ARMITAGES DAUGHTER ! LOL , NO KIDDING ! I CAN'T GIVE YOU AN HONEST ANSWER ON THE 1913 SHOW & THE PAVILLION OF REALISM . SO THE IMPACTS I WOULD SAY THE EXHIBITS HAVE ARE THE DISCOVERY OF THE WONDERFUL TALENT THE ART WORLD HAS ! , TP. Question: What are interesting exhibits to see at san diego zoo? I don't know much about the zoo, but im definitely taking the safari thing where i ride in the truck and go on a tour. but other than that i dont know anything else about the park. What are other really interesting exhibits?
Answer: The San Diego Zoo and the Wild Animal Park are two different things. they are both run by the same non-profit organization, but they are in different locations and present different aspects of animal life.
The San Diego zoo is like other typical zoo: animals in cages (but really, it's a lot nice than it sounds). There's much to see here and it really depends on what you like. For example see here for some "best of the zoo" suggestions.
http://www.san-diego-travels.com/zoo.html
http://www.san-diego-travels.com/san-diego-zoo.html
The Wild Animal park is more like an animal preserve. Animals have large chunks of land where they can wander around. You can see the animals far away but they are not in cages. There is a place in "Heart of Africa" where you can feed biscuits to the giraffes. There's an aviary where you can feed the lorikeets (birds) while they stand on your arm.
If you want to ride the truck and it drives you right up to the rhinos, then you are talking about the Wild Animal Park, not the zoo. It used to cost $75 (on top of admission).
If you want to see the Panda Bears, they are at the Zoo, not the Wild Animal Park.

Question: Is it wrong to make posters of Museum exhibits and sell the banners at ebay? Is it wrong to make posters of Museum exhibits and sell the banners at ebay? Will the Museums will pay me for promoting their exhibits and their website for visitors to learn about their services?
Answer: They already have someone to do that! Museums employ advertising and publishing staff. You will be in serious breach of their reproduction rights - stay clear. When I worked at the National Gallery in London, there was a whole department concerned with publishing, publicity, and legal reproduction of images, and pursuing illegal publishers with a view to compensation.

Question: how do you highlight sections of evidence attached as exhibits to legal documents? I'm not a lawyer but can't find a template for this anywhere. So I would love to know what is the best way to highlight a few words on a true and correct copy of exhibits to legal documents?
Thanks in advance.
Answer: If in your legal document you cannot accurately reference the part of an exhibit you are referring to with words (i.e., second paragraph, line 3, beginning with "...") then you can use an actual highlighter to highlight the subject portion. However, you will want to make sure that all copies of the documents that are served on other parties, also have that portion highlighted. Often highlighted sections to do show up when copied on a copier, so you would need to re-highlight those sections on all copies.
Question: What are some exhibits at the San Jose Tech Museum? What are some interestng exhibits at the Tech Museum. I am planning to go next weekend but I would like to know what there is there. If you could also add a short description of each one that would be great.
Answer: Okay so right now until January 25, 2008, the Tech is having a "Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance Engineers" exhibit. It basically looks at da Vinci's mind and how he thought... and how it has affected the technology today.
Concurrently, there is a Virtual Test Zone now open. "The Tech Virtual Test Zone is a prototype exhibit area that will consistently feature virtual-world-to-real-world exhibits on a specific theme resulting from The Tech Virtual program. The first theme featured in the Test Zone is "Art, Film & Music", which is also the theme of a new permanent gallery that The Tech plans to launch by 2010, featuring some of the people and innovations from Silicon Valley that have contributed significantly to this field." There is like:
-Wall of Musical Buttons
-Musical Seats/chairs
-Be a VJ
-Panoramic Photos
-Painting
-Tilty Table
-and a Human Avatar
Have fun next weekend!
Question: What are your favorite exhibits at Disney World? Mine are the Magic Kingdom, Epcot Center, Space Mountain, and Main Street. I haven't been there in several years, but I hear it has so many new and fascinating other exhibits there.
Answer: Oh, goodness...I like just about everything there! My favorites are the little things, though.
In Magic Kingdom, I like to visit the bakeries on Main Street and get some freshly made chocolate fudge (but make sure you do this AFTER the teacups - never before!).
In Epcot, I like to grab a FastPass for Soarin' and then go on Living With the Land (it's not quite the same now that there aren't tour guides anymore, but still good) - nothing like the smell of Disney World water!
In Hollywood Studios, it's fun to watch the Streetmosphere characters throughout the day - http://www.allearsnet.com/tp/mgm/m_streetmos.htm
And there's nothing like exploring the little trails all around the base of the Tree of Life in Animal Kingdom.
Question: What can be studied by those who are incapable of distinguishing a thing from the properties it exhibits? What can be studied by those who are incapable of distinguishing a thing from the properties it exhibits?
Answer: Well.... If we wanted to play with semantics we could give a few answers.
One possibility is that they can study anything even though they are incapable of distinguishing a thing from the properties it exhibits. What does being able to distinguish a thing from its properties have to do with being able to study it? Not being able to do so doesn't prohibit them from studying it... just from perhaps having an enlightened understanding of it.
If the intent of the question is "what should be studied by those who are incapable of distinguishing a thing from the properties it exhibits?" Then a reasonable answer would be that they should study things which don't necessarily require an ability to distinguish between the thing and it properties in order to be understood.
Question: What exhibits close in November for Brookfield Zoo? I want to go to te zoo next weekend but I want to know which exhibits are closed first. Does anyone know? Or know where I can find out?
Answer: The butterfly exhibit is closed until Spring as well as the dolphin show in the Seven Seas exhibit for renovations. The "Feathers and Scales" exhibit is closed for renovations until Nov 16th.
The other animals go inside for inclement weather but are "aired" out regularly for cleaning the enclosures.

Question: If an attorney goes to court for trial without his exhibits, what happens? But the judge has copies of the exhibits and so does opposing counsel. What would happen?
Answer: Well, for one, the attorney is going to ask for a continuance (coming back on another day) or even just a brief recess (coming back in 15 or 30 minutes) to get the exhibits. Or, they'll send one of their minions back to go get them. This is the reason that most attorneys have offices that are very near to the courthouse- so that they can go back to do research or the like during brief breaks.
Question: What would be studied of things by people incapable of distinguishing a thing from the properties it exhibits? What would be studied of things by people incapable of distinguishing a thing from the properties it exhibits?
Answer: Business. :o)
