Miscegenation
Miscegenation is the term applied to the marriage or sexual union of two individuals from different races.
Question: Christadelphians and all other Christians: What do you believe about the post-millennial years? Would the earth remain, to be renovated; or would it be destroyed by fire, to be replaced by a newly created earth from God?
Answer: The Earth is the Lord's. The meek shall inherit the Earth.
Thank you for your question.
2 Peter 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
Peter is speaking metaphorically.
It is clear from other scriptures that the physical heavens and earth will remain.
What will be ‘burned up’ or destroyed is evil men and their works both rulers ‘the heavens’ and the ruled ‘the earth’.
Isaiah 65:17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
18 But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.
19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.
20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.
21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.
22 They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.
23 They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.
24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent’s meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.
Israel will still exist as a mortal population in the ‘new heavens and earth’ and people will go up to Jerusalem to worship God.
Isaiah 66:22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.
God will send Jesus Christ to establish the kingdom of God on this earth.
Acts 3:20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:
21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.
Luke 1:32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
Daniel 2:44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.
The apostles will govern the twelve tribes of Israel.
Matthew 19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
The reward of the righteous is eternal life on this earth.
Psalms 37:9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.
Psalms 37:11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
Psalms 37:22 For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.
This Jesus confirms
Matthew 5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
The purpose of God is to fill this earth with his glory in the form of a glorified population with the divine nature.
Numbers 14:21 But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD.
Isaiah 45:18 For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.
Question: What's the difference between "last days" and "last day"? Perhaps we've already had the two (millennial) "last days",
and beyond 2000 AD it's now the third day is the last day.
Answer: The last day is the last day of the last days.
STs!
Question: How do we know another rebellion won't occur after Satan is gone? Satan was a perfect angel that used his free will to rebel against God.
When Satan is gone (after the Great Tribulation, Armageddon, 1000 year millennial reign, the return to perfection and destruction of all evil) how do we know the same mess won't occur again? If we will be living for eternity, isn't there a great chance that another angel sometime in the future will entertain the same thoughts and introduce evil once again?
Answer: The Bible describes heaven in great detail in Revelation chapters 21-22. Nowhere in those chapters is the possibility of sin mentioned. There will be no more death, sorrow, crying, or pain (Revelation 21:4). The sinful are not in heaven, but in the lake of fire (Revelation 21:8). Nothing impure will ever enter heaven (Revelation 21:27). Outside of heaven are those who sin (Revelation 22:15). So, the answer is no, there will be no sin in heaven.
What does that mean for us? If there is no possibility of sin, does that mean we will no longer have a free will in heaven? Perhaps in heaven, our ability to choose will be similar to that of the angels. The angels had a one-time choice to obey God or follow Satan. There is no possibility of further angels sinning and joining Satan in his rebellion. The holy angels are "elect angels" (1 Timothy 5:21). Similarly, the elect in heaven will be "sealed" in their decision to forsake sin and trust in Christ. We will not even have the choice to sin. At the same time, having been delivered from sin and evil, and viewing the wonderful glories of heaven, we would not choose sin even if we had the choice.
Question: What would be a word to connote a span of 100 days? Attention fellow philologists and neologists:
If "centennial" relates to a span of 100 years, what would relate to a span of 100 days? Cent_____.
If "millennial" relates to a span of 1000 years, what would relate to a span of 1000 days? Mill_____.
If "biennial" relates to a span of 2 years, what would relate to a span of 2 days? Bi_____.
Fill in the blank for an OED submission please. Greek suffix? Latin suffix? Maybe there already is such a thing?
Answer: 1 centidiurnal.
2 millidiurnal.
3 bidiurnal.
That's what I'd call them.
Question: What would you say would be the main characteristics of generation Y'ers? I have a paper due pretty soon and I was wondering what would someone who is a "first wave" millennial be like?
Answer: Generation Y is called that for two reasons. One because it comes after X, and two because we asked more why questions than previous generations. For instance "Why is the sky blue?" and "Why are all those people going to war?"
Question: Why do the older generations hate the millennial generation? Is it because we voted for Barack Obama? That's no reason to hate us.
Fine...By older generations I mean Gen-Xer's and baby boomers. And we are not as self absorbed as you think we are.
For the person who said Generation y is racist couldn't be more wrong. We are not racist at all our generation is like the peace generation or something.
No I am talking about the people who are in their 30s-50's.
Answer: i can't speak for all older people but i certainly do not hate the younger generation. i think you have been shortchanged in your education.
i hired several part time high school students and was amazed that most could not perform the simple task of counting back change to a customer nor could they spell or write a sentence correctly. most graduate high school without being able to do these simple tasks.
i blame the educational system and the teacher's union for protecting bad teachers. teachers do have a hard task with parents who are absent from parenting except to let the teacher know that their kids should not be punished in any way for any infraction. so the kids knows it too and do not learn needed information to create a better life for themselves. there is enough blame to go around.
girls these days are exploited sexually and are not even aware of it until they sense a heartbreaking disatifaction with their lives with no understanding why. they see it constantly on tv and in the movies but forget they do not have the resources of support that their idols have. you don't owe a boy anything and be careful what you choose to give to whom. do not cast your pearls before swine.
no, i don't hate the younger generation, i feel compassion for them as they have to face many things that i never had to growing up in a more moral time when things seemed so much more simple and truth wasn't so twisted.
i'm 67, really, really old lol
Question: What is your view of the following generations? What is your view of the following age groups?
Silent generation (approx in their 70s and 80s as of 2010)
Baby boom (in their 50s and 60s)
Gen X (in our 30s and 40s)
Millennials (10-29)
Post millennial (under 10)
Answer: Silent Generation: Good people, took care of their business.
Baby Boomers: Spoiled brats, ME ME ME all the time. They lack the character of the WWII generation.
Gen X-ers (My generation): The first generation where over half of all parents marriages ended in divorce before the kids graduated high-school. That shot to the gut seems to have kept the Gen-X-ers a bit more grounded and down to earth than their parents generation but they still aren't as solid as the WWII Generation.
Millennials: Spoiled brats, addicted to their digital devices. Extreme conformists. Even when they try to be "non-conformist" with their dark clothes and black hair and piercings, they manage to do it in such a proscribed manner that all their protests are meaningless.
Post Millennials: haven't really had a chance to define themselves yet.
Question: Young "Millennials" as "Luxoholics" ? This is what we're calling the new "young generation" of people who max out their credit in order to buy the best of the best. The finest designer fashions, most expensive accoutrements.
Is this how low we've come? Are we really so shallow that we emulate these Luxoholics?
Answer: Well for my part, I am "an early American - Goodwill" kind of shopper, I had parents that exposed me to hard work, morals, ethics and self respect. (oh woe is me), and they actually made me be accountable.
If I could not afford it,.......... I didn't get it.......... thank you
Question: Why do you think God chose to make so many doctrines relatively ambiguous in the Biblical text? As examples, consider that even Christians who hold to the inerrancy of the scriptures can differ markedly about pre/mid/post-tribulational rapture, pre/a/post-millennial kingdom, Calvinism vs. Arminian views, charismatic vs. cessationist view of sign gifts, etc. Could not just a few careful words have resolved some of these major sources of confusion/disagreement?
Answer: The bible was written for believers. It can only be interpreted through the Holy Spirit. Many "Christians" don't have the Holy Spirit to interpret scripture, thus rely on man to do so. Unfortunately man is corruptable.

Question: Books about "the Millennials"? I need books about the Millennium generation (people born between 1980-1990), do you know any?
Answer: I would suggest a book that I am reading right now. It is entitled "Nurturing the Leader Within Your Child: What every parent needs to know" by Dr. Tim Elmore. This resource does not solely discuss the Millennial generation but provides a comparison of the Millennial generation to other generations. It could be a really good informational resource for you.
Question: Is there anything more awesome than miscegenation?
Answer: No sir. Tiger Woods sure is beautiful! Ain't he?!!?
Question: u think the us govt banned miscegenation laws nd segregation just becoz they needed to send blaks to vietnam?
Answer: If your theory made sense, then why didn't segregation get banned prior to WW2? Blacks were needed to fight there, just ask the Tuskegee airmen and the soldiers of the all black tank battalion.
Question: Why are some racist whites okay with ir sexual relations, but against miscegenation? I hear some (white men) say they will have relations with a non-white, but won't have a baby with them. With sex, comes a possibility of pregnancy. Because condoms and birth control are not 100% effective. If I hated someone, I would not let them touch me.
What is with this craziness?!
Answer: Racists are stupid. Did you actually expect them to make sense?
Question: Isn't "mixing apples and oranges" just vile arboreal miscegenation? Mixing of the orchards, soon there will be orange tree spiders eating Mediterranean fruit flies, and we ALL know where that leads!
Is it TIME for outcry from the outraged?
Answer: Oh, you are on a roll this morning! well, can it really be a bad thing? I like spiders. And apples and oranges, together or separately. Making a fruit salad would be easier if they were all in one place. All we need now is a marshmellow tree, and we would be all set!
Question: Do you favor the death penalty for miscegenation until seperation can be acieved?
oop's ---achieved is the word I meant.
Answer: English MF...do you speak it?
Question: Which word to you prefer as a none for interracial? Miscegenation or amalgamation? I use the term amalgamation.
do, not to
noun, not none
Answer: Human
Question: Why do the same people who promote "diversity" also promote miscegenation? (Miscegenation is the actual term for "race-mixing".)
Don't they see the hypocrisy in that?
Answer: diversity is a liberal invented crutch to explain the short comings of the mud colored lesser races
Question: Doesn't miscegenation destroy diversity? Does miscegenation destroy diversity and lead to more racial conflict?
It appears when a person is bi-racial they are normally confused about thier identity. Applications also assumes a person is mono-racial. The biracial or multiracial person is also subject to discrimnation against other races and are never accepted. It creates more conflict when a person is claimed by other races at one time. Also people loose their unique features when they are mixed (they look like neither parent). Genes the are incompatible also have a greater chance of combining making that person less stable mentally or physically.
Answer: got a point.
Question: Parenting Section: Miscegenation and you? what are your views on miscegenation, do you teach your children that miscegenation is wrong? why and why not, give me a clear and detailed answer on your view of Miscegenation
LOL for some reason I want to capitalize miscegenation, LOL I know, I know...
Answer: miscegenation...ummm I'm 1/2 black and my husband is white, we have kids lots and lots of kids (we have 5 children) I guess I don't really mind it. I want my children to grow up in a loving world where they believe that superficial things like skin color are exactly that, superficial.
At the same time I don't mind those that believe that race mixing is bad. I have a friend who has somewhat nationalist views, i'm his only non white friend and he says "I don't want America to be all black or all white or all Mexican I want America to be a mosaic where we all just get our own little space, this country is big enough"
I think if someone wants to mix they should and if someone wants to abstain from mixing they should without persecution in either case.
amsam- you are so deep... NOT
Question: Are most people offended if someone uses the term "miscegenation"? I remember a while back, I asked a question and I added the term "miscegenation" in my question. One user found that word offensive.
Do most people really find the word "miscegenation" offensive?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interracial_relationship
Answer: i rarely hear that word anymore, so i don't react to it TOO badly, but that word was created to have a negative context concerning interracial relationships/conception of children. it discouraged the 'mixing' of races and emphasized 'racial purity'.
