Answer: It's the end of MAY....have you not talked with your lawyer yet? In June the judge will grant another temp. or a permanent custody of your child. Get on it!

Question: How do I file for "pro se" temporary custody when my ex-wife is in jail? My ex wife is in jail for a domestic violence against my 17 yr old daughter. I can't come up with $1500.00 for a lawyer and I need to file an emergency motion for temporary custody of my kids who have been staying with me since my wife went to jail.

Answer: It's easier than most people think. Go to your state's website and click on the courthouse icon, then find the down loadable forms tab. Under that tab, search for a "modification of placement". Then print it up and fill it out. Then make four copies and take them to the clerk of courts office in your courthouse. They will stamp them, keep one, return three and issue you a court date after you pay the filing fee (around $50). Write the court date on the other three copies, then take two copies to your local sherriff's department, or the county jail (where ever she is) and have her served your motion. Then appear on that sceduled date and you will more than likely be granted placement based on the circumstances. I wish you luck honey.

Question: what motion do i file if my ex has not paid child support and its so far only a temporary order? we have not even agreed on visitation, i have temp sole custody and he is to pay child support and ins of 726 per month. he is now 8 days late. i am representing myself so i need to know what motion is called to file and only this? i already know he's in contemt of court.

Answer: A "Motion for Contempt" should do the trick. Most of the time in non-criminal suits (this situation included) there isn't any particular title you need to give your motion, as long as the title expresses what the motion is trying to accomplish. In your motion you should ask the court to force payment of the child support as a remedy. It's not necessary, but if you wish you could style the motion "Motion for Contempt and Enforcement of Temporary Child Support Order" or something to that effect.

Question: What is an easy temporary override for the SensorStat Onity AC motion sensor thermostat for hotel rooms? When leaving the hotel room, the AC shuts off, programmed at a much higher temperature than the temp I have it set. The hotel maintenance man came in to override it with some kind of a magnet (long narrow object, somewhat the shape of a ballpoint pen). This method of override last between 24 & 48 hrs. Where can I purchase one of these magnet gadgets, whatever they call it? Or is there a way that I can by-pass the sensor with a jumper wire? Or is there a portable thermostat that I can purchase that will override all the settings on the existing hotel room SensorStat? Many of the hotels, nationwide, are installing these for their cost savings and making us suffer for it. This is very frustrating when on vacation, paying big bucks for a room, only to return to your room which is around 78 to 80 degrees. After being out all day in the hot heat, this is the last thing I want.

Answer: I took a look at Onity's site and I'm sure, from what I read of their sensors/controllers that you won't be able to do it. It's a software override, not a mechanical/jumper one, and the device that the hotel man used would be an r.f. one I'm sure. The manufacturers might be persuaded to sell you one, you can only try. I do sympathise with you though. I spent many years travelling all over the world and encountered similar infuriating things.

Answer: it is very hard work to do this. however, if you are serious about it, you can do most of the leg work yourself. call around and even visit some of these lawyers and ask them if they would be willing to go probono or except payments.try to do as much as you can on your own.research the law libraries!!!!!!!!!

Question: Filing a Motion for Temporary Relief Pro Se? The state is Tennessee. My husband has an attorney and filed for divorce. I answered and filed a counter-complaint Pro Se. He answered and denied some serious financial situations he has placed me in, which could turn criminal. I have all the evidence I think I need to show a judge that he is just being greedy and malicious. I need an attorney and considering he has taken all of the money, I cannot afford to retain one on my own. I need to file a Motion for Temporary Relief, asking for alimony and that he provide money towards helping me to retain an attorney to defend myself against a false criminal allegation he has made against me. Can I do this considering I have already filed an answer and counter-complaint Pro Se?

Answer: Yes. It's also possible that you can contact your local prosecutor and inquire about filing a criminal complaint against him him for filing false information. But definitely respond to the allegations in your present court case. Anytime there is a filing you can respond in kind.

Question: my wife asked the judge to order me a psych evaluation and for temporary custody of the kids i was not? in the courtroom to defend myself is there a motion i can file to appeal this

Answer: Ask your lawyer if you can appeal, but I doubt it. Maybe you should learn to show up for court dates.

Question: Does the temporary order affect the final outcome of the divorce ? I'm mother of 3 have to go to trial for custody early next year. Answer: if you are already at 30/70... this new order... doesn't change anything.... so why did he file it. talk to your lawyer.

Answer: Yes file NOW under abandonment - make sure the court is aware that he has removed the child and is refusing access. It might be worth talking to the local cops as he may be breaking the law with his actions, ot can't hurt to try. Question: Can a motor, power inverter, and a dynamo(generator) generate a continous temporary electricity? I am about to make something that generates electricity continously that only requires a little effort from us(rotating the dynamo to start the flow) but i am not sure if this thing "really" works. I'll be connecting the dynamo(12v dc output) to the inverter(12v dc-220v ac) then the inverter to the motor(220v ac) then make some mechanism to connect the motor to the dynamo(again) that, i think, will generate electricity continously but not like a "perpetual" motion cause, i know, there's heat which is an energy loss. I am thinking of this thing would be connected to some other appliances like a light bulb which is worth free other than the materials used. Would that thing really work? Please explain... I need your answer...

Question: How do I install Adobe Flash Player? I go through all the motions, click Install Activex Blah Blah and when it should be installing, it just says "Cannot create temporary file. Perhaps your hard disk is full?" No, it seriously says that. So I deleted a 1,000 or so Mega byte game that I had on my computer and it still says the same thing. It's only supposed to take up 1.7MB. Here, I go to school, and when I'm home, I try to occupy myself with house projects and little things here and there and I kind of stopped doing that because each time I add something, or change something to the house, he gets so very upset, and recently started throwing the fact that the house is under his name and me not having a job in my face, and that I should stop doing things that will make the house worse.In reality, he throws the job and house thing out there every now and then "jokingly", he says. Question: What is the best way to weatherproof the plastic box for a motion sensor originally intended for indoor use? The motion sensor in question is a cheap Quorum Passive Infrared Detector (RR-150/A-160/G4567) powered by a 9V DC battery that emits 5V for about 1 sec when activated. The trick is that I also want to solder leads to the battery contacts so that I can power it using a wall transformer. It comes in a plastic box that is totally unsealed; so far I have considered either using a glue gun to seal all seams and holes, or putting the whole thing inside another plastic (or plexiglass) box. For the moment I am most concerned about water leakage, but it is possible that temperature is an issue, too, I suppose. The sensor will be used in a temporary outdoor installation for six months this summer.

Answer: Get a tube of RTV. It's a kind of silicone caulk. Try hardware stores, auto parts stores, or maybe radio shack. Apply a smooth bead to every seam and to the hole where the wiring enters the box...and about 2 inches or so of the wiring. Don't force it in to deep or it may interfere with the sensor. It goes on sort of like caulk. After you apply a bead to the seams smooth it with a wet finger. The smoothing is mostly for cosmetic reasons but will also help make a good waterproof seal. Make certain when you mount it that it is several inches off the ground, to avoid water splashing up on to it, and as much out of the weather as possible.

I filed a motion for an amended Temporary Order so I can spend more time with my kids. When it was filed, I have 1 original and 4 copies. The Family Court Commissioner took all 5 of them, made me a copy, and told me she would get copies to all parties involved. Answer: They are just motion sensors. They trigger the sequence when the roads are quiet, you'll be ok.

Question: I cannot lift the tip of my foot (tapping motion)? Recently I was playing soccer with some friends. Question: How to motion for a new judge in divorce custody case? Whats the process when you are getting the bad end of a stick by a judge who seems biased somehow towards the other side. I had an attorney, who basically took my money and ran. He left the day of our first temporary hearing. 10 minutes before we were to go to trial, and because I refused to settle for what other side was offering -- and I was very confident we would win our arguement....my attorney said he wouldnt help me. Its because my attorney never ordered the subpoenas I requested. NEver once met with me to discuss strategy. My attorney was so intent on settling that he never bothered to actually prepare to fight. BUT - what he did was run into the judges chambers right before the judge was going to call our case - we were next. He ran in with the opposing lawyer and they both left me outside, while all 3 went into a closed room. Judge came out, my lawyer asked for a motion to withdrawal. They froze all my assets and gave temporary custody to my daughter in 10 seconds.... Now, it appears that the judge has such a negative opinion of me, because my lawyer said whatever he said that I dont know. And even though I am the one not lying, not doing inappropriate things, the one that looks forward to bringing out the truth in everything..... This particualr judge seems to throw out everything. I have actual recordings of my wife lying to everyone. My wife took my daughter out of state after confessing on my tapes that she cant take care of our child. Without tellingme - I find out my daughter was taken out of state. I dont think Im going to get a fair deal with this judge. Anyone know process on how to motion for a new judge? Any help is greatly appreciated And again, Im the one in the right here, I have all my wifes lies on tape. What scares me is that despite that, this judge will not give me a fair shake, because my attorney was a piece of crap, who ran with my money

Answer: Having a judge removed from a case is pretty difficult if you are in a small city or county. You need to find a new attorney.
