Establishment
The process of determining legal paternity and/or obtaining a court or administrative order to put a child support obligation in place.
Question: What is the Establishment Clause in the Constitution? How is it commonly understood today? What is the Establishment Clause in the Constitution? How is it commonly understood today?
Answer: Its a line from the First Amendment to the United States Constitution. "Congress shall make no law establishing a state religion, nor inhibiting the free exercise thereof." It is this line (along with others banning religious tests for various offices, including that of President) that mostly clearly shows that religious freedom, including freedom FROM religion, are major parts of the foundation of civil liberties in this country.
Question: Why did people fear the establishment of a strong federal government in the late 18th-century? Why did people fear the establishment of a strong federal government in the late 18th-century? Why do some fear it today?
Answer: They fear it today for the same reason they feared it back then. The founding fathers came from a country that had a strong central government. If the Federal government is too strong then it can enforce any laws that it decides to make and can lead to a dictatorship or Fascist/Communistic government. That is why the founding fathers set up the constitution to have a system of checks and balances in the federal system and set the states up to govern anything that is not governed by the federal government. If one branch of the government is too powerful then they can make their own rules.
Question: How long will we put up with establishment lies and corporate propaganda? Do you really think you live in a democracy? A choice between Neo-Cons and slightly more liberal right wingers(Dems are still right-wing, at least in economics)? Both serve corporate and establishment interests, only interested in increasing their own power.
Answer: I'd rather put up with that than a communist establishment and government propaganda.
Question: How does the court determine whether the establishment clause is violated? How does the court determine whether the establishment clause is violated in cases of aid to church-related schools?
Answer: By looking at the particulars of the case and examining the relevant precedent.
Question: What would you call a drinking establishment that doesn't serve food? I've been brain storming on the type of establishment I would open, and when you bring food into the mix, it adds a million extra worries. Say I wanted to open an establishment where drinks are served, and sports are on the tele, or PPV fights or what have you...
Or am I just trying to mix a club with a bar?
Fucking frustrated lol.
nah a pub would serve food, right?
Oooh, maybe like a pool hall? or, not? Ahh this is confusing.
Answer: Discotheques in Latin America do this. The club will have a big dance floor, have tall tables and stools around the outside of the dance floor, and just serve drinks. They charge for the alcoholic drinks and the person who is the designated driver gets a special wrist band and gets free sodas or other non-alcoholic drinks.
If you want to do food and not complicate things, sell only prepackaged foods: gourmet cookies, individual packs of peanuts or chips, candies, churros, etc. These things can fill the tummies of those who have a hard time holding their liquor.
People will not stick around and watch a game on the tele if there is no food. Food brings people. Who has ever been to a Super Bowl party that had no food? I would at least serve appetizers at a sports bar, even if they are the kind you have to heat in the microwave.
Question: How did the fall of Rome contribute to the establishment of feudalism? How did the old the fall of Rome and occupation of Germanic tribes contribute to the change of europe and the establishment of feudalism?
Thanks in advance
x
Answer: One of the factors in creating feudalism was the freezing of jobs in the later days of the Empire. Because of the economic problems and manpower issues, the later Emperors attempted to put a stop on further economic decline. They did this by freezing professions. People were not allowed to change their jobs or trade; farmers could no longer go to the cities to take up a new job, tanners, carpenters, blacksmiths, and other skilled persons were also forced to remain in their particular trade. Worse, the laws forced their children into the profession of the fathers. So even a youth who might be a skilled artist, or better in working in goldsmithing, had to remain working as a blacksmith. These laws and practice would set up the hereditary nature of Feudal society. In the centuries after the fall of Rome, people would no longer be free to aspire to rise in the world. Peasants were peasants, merchants were merchants, and nobility was nobility. While on occasion an exeptional individual might rise above his station, things were stacked against him. Both secular and religious law were weighed to prevent such situations from rising.
The invasion of the Germanic tribes played their part by solidifying the warriors to the upper ranks of the society. The king and his warriors were the protectors of the tribe. In return, they defended the tribe, and enjoyed the fruit of others' labor. As the two different cultures, Roman and Germanic merged, the foundations of fuedalism were set. The king and royalty at the top of the social scale, the nobility, who were expected to be warriors (this would change later, much as it did in fuedal Japan), then the skilled laborers, and finally the peasants. At the bottom of the heap ended what would become the serfs. Because centuries before their ancestors had the misfortune to be condemned to remain as tillers of the soil, the serfs ended up as slaves owned by the land itself, to be used by whichever lords controlled that land. To change one's status was difficult and dangerous, with the whole system being almost as rigid as the caste system of India.
Question: What is the establishment cost for a coal burning factory? I need this for a science assignment. Holy crap do I hate science.
So yeah, what is the establishment cost to set up a coal burning factory? (Where the coal is transferred into energy)
Answer: The current establishment cost of a coal fired power station is about $2000 per kilowatt of power produced. Over a 50 year life; this is quite low compared with establishment costs for wind and solar power generation, and a lot (hundreds) of wind generators are needed to produce the same power output of a large coal powered generator. This is why it is proving difficult to replace coal for large scale power generation.

Question: Why is the Caduceus, the symbol of the medical establishment? Why is the Caduceus, the symbol of the medical establishment? The Caduceus represents snakes in the tree of life, and the serpent as in the Bible, in the tree of Knowledge of good and evil is a symbol of both temptation and evil. Why can't the medical establishment be represented by a fountain symbol, representing the fountain of youth? And why can't the medical establishment be more focused on the preservation of youth, instead of being focused more on both aging and death?
Answer: I've never heard your explanation of the Caduceus, but the following is the one I heard in Medical School:
One explanation is that the Caduceus represents how people would use a stick to slowly wind up and pull out a parasitic worm, Dracunculosis, out of a human host.
The pulling out of the worm, slowly done so as not to break it, is one of the earliest acts of practicing medicine

Slip and fall injuries - prevention: traction mats.
Knife cuts or meat slicers cuts - prevention: the only way to prevent those is to make sure that people have proper training, but even then they will occur from time to time.
Burns (either from like hot oil or hot pans) - prevention: again, it's all about training.
Question: How will Obama interact with the Military Establishment? I am interested to read your thoughts on how the military establishment will respond to President-elect Obama after the inauguration in January. Will they whole-hearted endorse him as Commander in Chief or act very suspiciously due to his lack of military experience?
Answer: On inauguration day the military will immediately shift focus to President Obama as the Commander in Chief. No questions asked and no hesitation. That is the foundation of having the military subordinate to the political master.
Question: Has the American medical establishment been a boon or a burden to world medical advancement? American doctors and researchers have certainly made many advances for which the world is grateful. That said, the days of Jonas Salk are over and in the present day the US attracts the world's top minds and focuses them on penis enhancement and cures for baldness and hasn't made any major breakthroughs in a long time. These doctors from around the world, if not distracted by the money driven establishment in the US might be doing important things that could be saving millions.
All in all, great advancements have been made in America, but could we be more advanced now if the establishment was not so money driven?
Answer: It always makes me laugh to hear Americans boast about their medical breakthroughs. They are numerous and admirable, to be sure, but poor Americans see precious little of them. I often hear about the USA's supposedly higher cancer survival rates, which are marginally higher than those of the UK (but lower than most other developed nations). These are skewed widly by the method of data collection, which is collected from patients seeking treatment. Obviously, anyone suffering from cancer in the UK is treated, yet cancer patients in the USA get little to no treatment if they are uninsured or under insured.
US medical gains are great if you are financially stable, not so great if not.
Question: My new jeans smell like a dry cleaning establishment? You know that smell when you walk into a dry cleaning establishment. I washed them 3 times, but the smell is still there. Is their a remedy for this, or do i have to wait for the smell to go away naturally?
Answer: It's part of the fabric processing. You need to wash them and take them outside to dry. Using a dryer only sets the smell.
Question: Is a reestablishment of the establishment party a true change ? Other than a more intense message of 1930's ideas of the depression era, what changes will come from the Democratic establishment party ?
If the house , senate and presidency are recouped by the establishment party wouldn't that be considered a regressive move rather than change ?
Answer: I enjoyed the use of the term "Democratic," in your question. Thanks, I'll always go for a good laugh at the Socialists.
Short answer: The U.S. will be fully State-Capitalist (socialist), all the way from the banks down to the kid's lemonade stand. It's a different form of trickle down theory; and we all know what rolls down hill.
Fortunately, with the media establishment, we won't be hearing about how interest rates will be 21%, unemployment will be 12-15%, inflation will be 15% or that the misery index will challenge Carter's feat. We'll be hearing about how much the change has spread happiness (& our earnings) throughout the world.
Get ready to be really "happy." Or else.
Me, I wanna get a job running Fannie Mae for about 6 years. I could use the $90 million in bonus pay...self-employment is going to be a dream of the past.
Question: What is the two term describes white and black establishment of blues? What is the two term describes white and black establishment of blues?
Answer: Slave owners and slaves? I'm not sure I understand your question.
Question: Why does McCain want to shake up the political establishment in Washington? McCain has been in Washington for 20 years. He's part of the political establishment.
How can he see himself as a reformer who has the intention to shake up the political establishment?
He had 20 years time for that. Why now?
And finally, HOW does a person shake up the political establishment?
Weren't these words of McCain just empty?
Answer: You're right; it's hard for someone from inside the system to be a mover and shaker. The longer you’re in a system, the more you play the system and become like the system.
John McCain is simply playing the political game like everyone else that's been in the senate for 20 years. He knows people want change and he has to say he's the guy to bring it; if he doesn't he loses - period.
Change can be brought. Look at how George W. Bush shook up the system. For years people assumed the president would abide by the constitution, George W. Bush sure showed them. Most people aren't ignorant to the fact that corruption exists at all levels of the government; however, they were surprised that George Bush would so carelessly expose it, welcome it and even create it.
Many people knew of George Bush's poor record on economics before getting elected in 2000 but the consensus was the economy was too strong for one sitting president to dismantle in a mere 4 to 8 years. Once again, George Bush showed us how naive and comfortable we had become and opened our eyes.
You can shake up the "political establishment" but it's not always going to be in a positive way. George Bush has "shook" or should I say screwed things up and the reaction was more people are paying attention to politics than ever. As proof, more people voted for John Kerry than any other presidential candidate ever, except the man he was running against.
McCain is a politician, who’s worked 20+ years in the system he says he’s going to change, he is going to say what he thinks will get him elected. If you don’t believe him when he speaks, then the words are empty to you. He’s record is one of voting with George Bush 90% of the time. 10% doesn’t sound like a shake up to me.
"Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense."

Question: How has the establishment killed flower power? In the late 1960's there was a popular movement among youth to fight the militarism and the establishment. Today, young people are more impoverished and seem more concerned with being upwardly mobile.
How did the establishment changed our values to leave us with this generation of materialists?
Answer: First of all, force the median income of people lower and raise the income of stockholders in military stocks.
Pay huge sums of money in Army recruity advertisements and on sports programming and prime time. Executives of networks will shun any stories that are not patriotic.
Question: How could the state not be totally separate from religion without violating the establishment clause? Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.
Answer: It's impossible - the founders were wise enough to see the inherent dangers of religion towards politics and of politics towards religion.
Of course, people who believe in the myth that the US is a christian nation or was founded upon biblical principles, etc, will never see that.
